posted a message on How good is fel reaver in arena?

Generally, I pick shredder; Arena has little consistent removal, and, with the larger card pool, silences are seen far less often. Sticky minions like the shredder are really valuable.

Both are mechs, so that's nice

Fel Reaver> Shredder if you have some comboes, or are playing the more aggro classes like rogue and hunter. Most classes prefer midrange/control, and Shrdder is better for that. It's your first pick, so go with the shredder, as that is safer. Fel Reaver is more greedy, locking you into a aggro deck. If you do not get enough aggro cards, the deck will flop, or go 4-3. More likely or not, picking reaver will just force you to abandon better cards to favor more aggresive cards. And, when you DO play it, it is a much more riskier gambit. A polymorph/hex etc. will screw you over much more(tempowise) than a truesilver into shredder.

Well, league doesn't depend on a ton of RNG, and has a higher skill cap in almost every area. It HAD a more diverse meta than Hearthstone, but with the juggernaut followed by ADC patch, who knows.

I wouldn't be pointing it out if what you said was correct.

And if you didn't decide to be an asshole about it too. So by all means try to casually insult me.

Don't start discussions unless you want to finish them with actual information. Everyone knows not to run 27 lands. Manaflood and Manastarve only happen in greedy decks, and might as well be the equivalent of a Hearthstone deck starting out with a ton of lategame drops. I.E. Warrior starting hand of Grommash, Alextraza, and Geddon.

You say only a few gimmickcards have"random". I list out every card to refute it. You just ignore that and try to antagonize me instead.

You say only shaman has cards that are 4/5/6 drops that can't be dropped on turns 4,5,6, yet that is wrong.

Your only unflawed point is this :"Are the odds of drawing a one-of in a 30 card Hearthstone deck worse than drawing a one-of in a 60 card MTG deck?"

Delver stopped being good in modern a long time ago.

Confidant is draw power. That's the equivalent of Warlock's H. Power being RNG

Company, yes. At this point it's Pod 2.0, except they made it less consistent postban of pod.

If you play vintage, you are also probably playing the lands and power 9...

"pretty much",not the exact same. It fixes some of MTG's flaws, but introduces others as well. Adding RNG might have sounded cool at first, but it's bad in the grand scheme of a longterm game.

Ever started with 4, 5, and 6 drop in Hearthstone that you couldn't drop on turns 4, 5, and 6?

    Yeah.

Outside of a few gimmick cards that specifically say "random" and don't have restrictions, how exactly is the RNG worse?

Few gimmick cards. Amazing. Ok. This will take a while. Knife Juggler, Flamewaker, MadScientist, Webspinner, King's Elek, Joust as a whole, Brawl, Nexus Saraad, Animal Companion(Always Huffer), Arcane Missles, Random Spare Parts, Avenge, Murloc Knight, Thoughtsteal, Dark Cultist, Tuskarr Totemic, Shaman's Hero Power, Lightning Storm, Doomguard, Deathlord, MC Tech(Personal Biased I think, I just like running the card, it helps against those aggro decks people use to stop secret pallies). Those are just the cards that are popular. How much of MTG competitive do you see cards with "random" in their text or as a part of a keyword? The only additional RNG MTG has would be the land system.

"Sure, you run a lot of four-ofs in a MTG deck to increase your odds of drawing that card when you need it.  But 24-27 of those 60 cards in your deck just get put on the table anyway without any effect."

Ok, if you run 24-27 lands in your MTG deck... there is something weird. Control decks usually run 23 lands, tops. Anything after that, then you are really bad at deckbuildinng. Fetchlands are used to filterlands. They are in the current standard rotation and allow a lot more variety in color choices. They have always been staples in Eternal formats, where they can thinout yourdeck and fix mana issues. Horizon Canopy can draw, Dryad Arbor is a creature, Blinkmoth,Inkmoth, and Mutavaults become creatures, Celestial Colonade and Creeping Tar pit become finishers. And no, those cards aren't just used for gimmicks.

Please don't talk about games you do not have experience in. At least, not in THAT manner.

That would be a good idea... if the DEing system wasn't so bad that you only get 25% of the value back..

By the time you can set up joust you'll be dead. Healbot yes, Trueheart in CW yes.

posted a message on Chillmaw value now that Patron is nerfed?

You don't need it as much just like CW doesn't need double brawl with patron gone. Just run Boom instead if you don't have him. If not, run some other high end card.

posted a message on Why is there no trading?

Ehh it's still a shtty interface, but the market is pretty stable. If you are playing standard, idk what is wrong with you. Standard is literally the money investing format, with a rotation system. Just play the popular modern if you don't want to deal with stuff likethat. It's more popular and better than STD. Legcay and Vintage, while both having lasting value is... ugh. And the bots kinda balanced out the market by setting the standard price to sell __ and __, which players can use to gauge the price of cards. The trades are usually fair, unless some random BS springs up, which, let's be honest, happens to every TCG.

Just like most things on the internet, you can win, or get a big lead by circlejerking. Oh, the community wants rogue to not have garbage cards? Try designing a rogue card. Unless you have zip experience with rogue and don't know what they are like.

Works in League, works in this.
