I constantly see people putting this weapon and "Dragon Priest" in the same sentence. I don't understand why the confusion, although perhaps coming from a community that thought Bladed Gauntlet + Bring it on was a broken aggro combo, not that surprising.
Dragon Soul is quite obviously not intended to be put into a Dragon deck.
For one, Dragon decks mostly center on board control -> minions -> you just rarely play 3 spells in a turn.
Two, for the same reason, Dragon decks generally do not have the luxury of spending a whole turn 3 doing nothing (although this is perhaps debatable given the board clears and lack of actual early game Dragon decks have since the rotating of the Whelp, Are You Mocking Me?, the Technician, etc.)
And finally and perhaps most importantly, all Dragon synergy revolves around holding a Dragon in your hand which is what this weapon quite clearly does not do. So this weapon and Dragon decks live in two separate universes.
Don't know if it's been mentioned (in 26 pages...) but isn't the problem with running this in a mill deck that overdrawn cards don't count as being drawn?
So if you make your opponent overdraw one of the 3 candles, this thing never awakes? Plus you have helped them with giving them 3 extra cards?
Agreed with everyone here, this is a great addition to Midrange Hunter as a target for Razormaw. Much more difficult to kill at t1 with 3 health than the Alleycats.
And if a 1 mana 2/2 beast is a core card in Aggro druid then surely a 1/3 Beast is going to also see play - less damage output but so much more difficult to kill. Much more likely to get your Mark of Y'Shaarj out.
Great card - keep all your copies in case it gets nerfed!
If the meta will see Oozes & Harrison's being staple, this of course will be useless.
But if not this is a superb card given that a lot of demons have poor battlecries - Doomguard, the Felhound, Pit Lord - and others are very expensive - Voidlord. If you don't die on turn 5 this is essentially a miniature Y'Shaarj. Combine it with Sense Demons to keep your hand filled. Could be something. From the turn you play this you get 1 free big demon onto the board each turn plus the rest of your mana to kill stuff with. Or play Seals. Arf arf!
I'm not sure about this one. You first need a board to make this worth it. The problem Shaman has had over the last couple of expansions is they couldn't get on the board in the first place with anything except Tokens. These are completely useless to get back into your hand.
The obvious deck for this to work with is Jade/Elemental but if that can't stick to the board this is just a 6 mana 7/7. Is that good enough? Unlikely. So perhaps this will see play after Patches rotates and aggression dies out a little. Even then Keleseth will be around.
Having to choose gamble between opposite archetypes when you're mulliganing is annoying in itself, and it gets worse because each is overpowered for what it is. I hate coinflips like that. Plus Druid as a class has been too strong for too long.
Kinda like Barnes. Barnes +ive: can draw anything from your deck; Illusionist +ive: can be manipulated by playing things out of your hand.
Will most likely die the turn after it is played so Deathrattles seem the best bet. Was N'Zoth Rogue a thing? No. Will it become a thing now? Unlikely unless more support is incoming.
Seeing that 3 spells in a turn is trivial for Highlander Priest, at worst this is a 3 mana 5/5; at best 3 mana 15/15.
Also fits nicely because the 1 thing Highlander Priest doesn't do naturally is fighting for the board. But will be kept in check by Oozes and Harrisons.

Maybe the designers anticipated that and prevented it... Just maybe.
Edit - no idea why "Reply" doesn't work like you'd expect it to...

I don't know man but I nearly reached Rank 23 with my Freeze Shaman. Lost three times to the end boss at 24 and 2 stars! :(

Combo activates when you play a card, this summons. So, no.
edit: and youdon't play the card out of your hand either. So, no again.
