Agreed, it can be hard to find decks where Hakkar works, but I certainly had fun trying things out. I had moderate or good success during December-March with blood decks for Warrior, Hunter, Priest and Druid.
Is this a new game mode or it it just for official tournaments? Many players don't follow or care about the tournaments, so an announcement about new tournament rules is meaningless to them. If you want to bring more players back and keep a strong player base, you need features to attract non-tournament players.
It is possible to enjoy constructed, both standard and wild, without going for legend are really caring about what rank you get. I've been playing since the beta primarily in standard and I've never gotten above rank 15, but I still have fun.
Try this: Ignore the net decks. Don't even look at them. For the next expansion, just come up with a few deck ideas that sound fun to you and try to make them work. You might drop a few ranks, but why does that matter? I bet you'll have more fun playing around with your deck ideas at 45% win rate then trying to follow a strict meta with a 55% win rate.
You can easily trigger it yourself when you attack with it or one of Warrior's many AoEs. Plus, it doesn't have to survive the damage to summon the 2/3. So unless it dies to a Shadow Word: Pain, it will summon at least one.
How would taunt make this better? If the opponent doesn't have a removal spell or a single minion with 5+ attack, this will be very annoying to get rid of. Giving it taunt would make it easier to kill.
No, giving it Taunt would make it worse. Since it doesn't have taunt, it can hide behind it's tokens and any other taunts. But if it had taunt, it couldn't hide and the opponent would be able to take it out much easier.
I called it a chameleon rogue. I had all the cards that gave me other class cards and the battlecry minion that reduced their cost by two. I only had one card draw in my deck because there was so much card generation. Some matches felt like a tavern brawl because of the crazy combos I found. And it never got old winning a game with an 8 or even 6 mana pyroblast to the face.
For example Spreading Plague is extremely crushing for the Hunters, even if you don't have that big of a board, if you have 3 minions which is solid but not that great, the Druid can still Plague than play Innervate and the Taunt buffer minion he has which can win the game immediately. Hunter simply doesn't have a good board clear or hence a single target removal.
It's a little off topic, but that comment gave me an idea for a hunter card.
I got Arfus in a pack, so I put him in some decks to try out. He can spawn 8 different cards and most of them are good or great, so he seemed like a safe bet. I've played him 3 times and got Doom Pact every time.
I feel like the druid deathknight card must have something to do with 1 attack minions. Otherwise this card is trash.
The other Druid cards suggest the DK will have some synergy with taunt minions. If they have the taunt tools to protect these, it might not be that bad.
This might not be as bad as it looks. Hadronox, Spreading Plague and Crypt Lord make it look like Taunt Druid could be powerful, so they would have ways to protect low health minions like this. Some people complain that they don't even have taunt, but that might make them worse. If the spiders had taunt, they couldn't hide behind other taunts.
This also fits the theme of Druids getting awkward removal cards, like Naturalize and Mulch. If you have the tools to protect these, then getting two removal effects out of one 5 mana card is pretty good.
