I just done it for the first time there. I had 3 or 4 cards left in deck. I'm sure you need a certain card order to win. To start you need 3 pawns and a rook and then bishop the turn after and followed by a knight. You also need him to not draw a bishop. While not 100% I think it's impossible to win if he draws it early. You need to always have minion advantage. He never drew it against me until the turn before I won. I would honestly say start over if he has it. once he has his knight out, you hopefully have him attack a pawn. You then need to focus it with your rook. If you can't kill it then it might not be GG, but it might be.
So to sum it up, get almost perfect draws and hope he never has bishop.
That's what I mean though. I don't really get that. Say I want to dismantle Dr Boom. It will give me 400 dust. If it gets nerfed in anyway then it will still give me 400 dust. That is of course unless it gets nerfed so bad that it's rarity actually changes.
You have to remember with scarlet purifier though. When undertaker was about it was mainly hunter decks around. They abused cards such as haunted creepers. Yes it still gets the kill but they get more field presence. With the mechs it's not really the same. They get spare parts to their hand. While they can be annoying, they are minor effects that can be played around. They only really hurt when used in a combo with other cards. I would suggest you try it, even in casual. I use it as a single. I don't think I would run 2 of them. As for the sniper. I agree that turn 4 is optimal, but not necessary. During turn 2 his health is higher than all the equivalent cards. You can still crash him into something and get a hero power off. I personally don't find sniper to be as good as scarlet purifier but still good. Actually, the purifier has been the mvp for me over the past week or so.
Hi guys! I'm relatively new to these forums but I've played cards games all my life (27 now) and I've always went for anti meta in just about every game so far. Last season for Hearthstone I was struggling to climb the ladder with standard decks so I build a deck that I called "Anti Bullshit". It's idea was to just counter the majority of what was played but still be able to do okay against others. I basically perfected it and climbed the ladder pretty fast. Undertakers nerf has thankfully stopped all of those cancer hunters. With their absence comes a hoard of mech mage. I'm not even joking when I say this but my last 21 games we're all mech mage, minus one. So! I'm going to bring back my "Anti Bullshit" deck again, but to suit this current meta. I'm looking to what you all think is the best cards against them just in case I missed anything in building this. I've put down what I've found to be my favorites to be so far. I know some of these cards are class specific so it's not as handy as my last season since they were all neutral cards.
In no specific order:
Annoy-o-Tron It partly feels dirty to use one of the dirty cards they use but this guy does stop a lot. He's a early drop which you need a lot of and the divine shield just puts him above the standard taunter at this level. Most early mechs have 1 health anyway so this guy should take out 2 on a good run.
Steamwheedle Sniper This is interesting, and again I feel bad for even putting a hunter card on here, but the hunters I've saw lately are actually respectable hunters that aren't using the face hunter stuff. When this card is out I've noticed 2 things. 1 - they don't attack it. It stays on field and you just pummel them to the ground with mass advantage every turn. Every turn is essentially a free kill on these decks. 2 - they attack it immediately. 9 times out of 10 they will either have to kill 2 guys to get rid of it. At that stage most minions only have the 2 attack. Even if they do, you should still get one shot in from your hero power. Very likely that you will get two kills from it at least. Still just as good later on in the game. Turn 4 dropping gives him instant use. You know that priests like the Auchenai Soulpriest? Well this is the exact same but 2 turns sooner. Sure they have the circle combo as a field clear but this is early game which is vital against this stuff and also won't kill itself.
Mana Wraith I was unsure if this should make it but it's done well. It requires good timing to use it, but if used correctly then you can shut mech mage, zoo and all these other early rush decks down. Well, at least push the game forward a few turns which is where they really lack. I've found the optimal time to drop this guy is on a turn 3 or 4, depending on the board of course. The downside to this guy is that if you aren't playing one of the aggro decks then his use is very limited. Still, a 2/2/2 has good stats at least. This article is more focused on taking down the majority however so he might just make it. At least for now.
Lil' Exorcist or Deathlord I've had to pick two for this one because both are as good as each other. Id only run one of the two. Deathlord works great for early game, exorcist for the mid game. I used exorcist last season and the card actually became a staple in every one of my decks. If used right you can almost guarantee at least a 4/4 with taunt. For a 3 cost that's incredible. Deathlord does still work and if you get him out early enough then his deathrattle becomes irrelevant. They might get a guy out but they should sacrifice at least 2-3 guys to kill it provided you can control their piloted shredders and mechanical yetis.
Scarlet Purifier This was a hard choice. Paladin actually have so much good cards against it all. Tirion is probably the best card in the game right now for stopping it. Problem with him is that he is an 8 drop and most time you might be dead by then or at least in a situation where you can't use him much. Same problem with avenging wrath. Great card. Just at that mana cost it might be too late unless you can control the board early on. Scarlet purifier has great stats to start off; 3/4/3. Definitely over average, but he actually has an insane effect. I never used to use it but I was trying it out for a laugh. Every single time I used him I killed at least 1 monster for absolute free. Most times I was even able to take out 2 guys or 1 guy and damage others. Combo this guy with a consecration and you pretty much have a field clear.
I had a few options available for trying to create this. I originally done it with hunter since the spell cards could be handy for killing things off. The hero power didn't help much though. I ended up having to choose between Priest, Druid and Warrior. Warrior has some nice ones like whirlwind but didn't want the backlash on my guys since I wouldn't be playing for armor. I think a druid version could work pretty well. I just think Priest still comes out on top. Having access to a multi silence is a big thing and also the achenai-circle combo just field clear all their spam. I might actually go create a druid version soon actually and see how it goes. I just don't have all the cards needed like the 5/5 guy with +5 heath and taunt. Hes a necessity.
If you do decide to give it a go then be patient with it. Other decks are a challenge but you should win the large majority of them against hunter :) If you can get any tips of making it better then that would be good :P. Hard trying to get a nice balance down.
I built an anti-bullshit deck that basically wins against the Mech mage, Face hunter and zoo almost 100% of the time. Still does okay against other decks too. Just saying. There is a way to get around them.
So today I played about 10 games, and each one was either Cancerhunter, Mech mage or Zoo. So! I decided to do something about it. I tried creating a deck that I now call "Anti bullshit". It is basically a deck that beats these decks the majority of the time while still being able to hold their own against other decks. I don't expect to beat other decks most times, but considering the decks I said above are the majority, it means this will win the majority of matches. This deck is still on it's second draft so it needs some work still. Maybe someone here has some ideas on how I can improve my "Anti bullshit" deck. Also, After I have made this, in my last 8 or so games 5 were the bullshit (I won them all) and 3 were normal decks, 2 of which I won from out controlling the opponent. It still seems to do alright against other stuff.
Class: Priest
Circle of Healing x2 Just to heal big monsters and also works with the priest Power Word: Shield x2 - Just for keeping taunt monsters alive longer Northshire Cleric x2 - Just for added draw power Acidic Swamp Ooze - More than 1 gets cloggy since it only works on hunter for the most part Unstable Ghoul x2 - I feel I could take this out for a better option, but it still does well! Shadow Word: Death Just added to help against the non bullshit decks Lil' Exorcist x2 - Staple now in every one of my decks. With the way ranked it just now, it is far too good to not play this at 2 Mass Dispel Honestly I think I want a second copy in. Great for stopping all the deathrattle stuff they use Auchenai Soulpriest x2 - standard. Effect kill monsters in one since they're all so weak. Combo with circle for any big guys in non bullshit decks. Defender of Argus a single copy does me well. Puts taught on anything that doesn't have it really. Kezan Mystic - more than 1 is cloggy since not every one of the decks use secrets Sen'jin Shieldmasta x2 - Great card with taunt. Gives them trouble Holy Nova x2 - field clear. Works great after a Mass Dispel as well Antique Healbot - a second may work but 1 is also good for now. Tight on space. Bomb Lobber x2 - Kills the bigger guys in non bullshit decks. Great against the mech mage guys as well since they're a little bigger. Sludge Belcher x2 - No explanation needed. Stop the rush. Baits out kill commands. Cabal Shadow Priest a second isn't necessary. Not so great against decks that isn't bullshit and we have enough other ways to slow the bullshit down. Dr. Boom - bigger monster for other decks. Does standard against these decks as well. Molten Giant x2 - The daddy in here. Now a staple in all my decks. Get these guys out, maybe mix in with Defender of Argus. GG every time I've done it. If they ever get low them Circle of Healing can sort them out.
Cards Id like to try inthis.
Vol'jin - mainly for more support in other decks. Shadowboxer - Thinking it can maybe take out those 1 health guys as I heal myself but unsure if good enough. Shadow Madness - Could possibly work well Sunwalker - considered this for so long. Decided against it. Might still be worth a go. Just that cost though. Explosive Sheep field clear essentially Abomination big field clear essentially
Zoo>Facehunter>Warrior>Facehunter>Facehunter>Zoo>Facehunter>a shaman version of these bullshit fast aggro things.
I give up on this game. I feel bad for saying this but until Blizzard sort this shit out, I'm going to have to join the fray because it's obvious that other decks just can't compete. You either play bullshit or you attempt to build an anti bullshit deck.
Getting really fed up with this game on some levels. The amount of rush decks is just getting to me now. I've spent about £200 on this, I've got all the cards (more or less), and I've been playing card games for over 15 years so I'm very experienced in how to play them, yet I cannot get past rank 15 no matter what I do. Actually, I think I'm back to rank 17 now after a massive losing streak.
I don't know what's happened since the release of GvG but it's as if I just became bad. I used to get high in ranked. now I'm fluttering between 15-16 and just can't move up any no matter how much I play. Same with Arena. I was getting 9 win streaks and such. Now I average 3. Get a 4 if I'm super lucky.
Too much of this small monster aggro. Those decks kick off in a few turns while I'm still setting up. I'm really considering putting 2 Explosive Sheep in every single deck now.

Now I'm really confused. Why would the dust received go up to 1600? I've never saw that happen before with anything.

That's what I mean though. I don't really get that. Say I want to dismantle Dr Boom. It will give me 400 dust. If it gets nerfed in anyway then it will still give me 400 dust. That is of course unless it gets nerfed so bad that it's rarity actually changes.

Am I missing something? I thought you get 400 dust for a legendary regardless so why are people saying if it gets nerfed you get less?
