You misread his post. His meaning was that when the dominant cards in the meta have RNG components, it diminishes druids ability to choose the proper outcome with their class cards. I don't really agree with his statement, but he isn't contradicting himself.
It's too gimmicky to be viable. You won't be struggling with overdraw too hard, because you should already have a 4+ card advantage without the second cold light. One extra gang up makes you less effective because unless you draw the cold light, you won't have the amount of control you need to sustain.
Gang up is very powerful with cold light, but if you don't draw cold light 2 gang ups can be more of a burden than a help, especially if you draw first and can't mulligan aggressively for cold light.
I can see this being used in mill druid with Poison Seeds.
The main issue here is mill druid doesn't tend to use 7+ attack cards, making BGH useless. Adding this to mill gives the opponent a chance to blow it up.

I recently picked up face hunter. It seems pretty simple but I think there is some small decision making I could improve on. Any good vods around?

I mean I admire that you're trying to beat the matchup, I might give the deck a shot.
Here are my concerns though:
1. What are you swapping out for those cards, and how is it effecting your other match ups?
2. What are you using ancient mage on? The deck is very sparse on minions
3. How many times have you used the deck against control war matchup and what is your win percentage at what bracket?
