Alright, who had the brilliant idea of not only printing a cheap card that can literally decide who wins or loses the game at the spot but also making it so you can run multiple copies of it?
Yes, I'm talking about cards like Ice Block, Evasion, Time Out! and to a lesser extent Cloak of Shadows, cards that are strong enough to make people quit playing and calling it a day, because it's not only frustrating but it also feels like you got cheated on. This type of effect should be attached to a high mana cost and a duplicate restriction, like Valeera the Hollow.
So what you're saying is these cards should be flat-out unplayable because that's what the rogue DK is...? Why don't you just say it out right instead of waffling?
I thought they'd mentioned that they'd do them again but, much like reno (or highlander, for standard folks) support cards, since we just had a whole bunch of them, it'll be some time before they're reintroduced.
They need to continue to move hearthstone the other way - over time we want less discovery, less mana cheating, less convert your entire deck into RNG clown fiesta and finally, less infinite value generation.
Resource management needs to happen in hearthstone again, and not due to insane cards like Tickatus. It makes for a more rewarding game to play.
I appreciate that this a long list and can't happen all at once.
Oh god, tickatus here hahahahhaah. Man, there's such a thing as living rent free in someone's mind but so many on this board are clearly paying for the privilege of having him stay there. Truly the vegans of hearthstone.
Degenerate ones that I can end quickly. Those that have pre-built horrid nonsensical decks I really dislike, it's not even arena-type kind of deck, it's complete garbage kind of deck that you don't know at all and yeah, children's card game and all that but I don't like that much random.
But 2 cards or 3 cards decks are just fine to me. I also like, to a lesser extent, all the co-op brawls (when your "opponent" actually understands what he has to do...which doesn't happen all the time) as well as the all legendary one because it can be pretty fun.
*looks at mage, sitting comfortably in 8th place with a healthy overall wr% of 47%*
Yeah, totally need to nerf DoL again because someone high rolled with it. I think any wr% higher than 20% is far too much for mages, really, let's nerf DoL to 8 mana give your charge minions +1 attack and call it a deal.
Tickatus is the worst card ever because it locks out all other control decks. I will never relent. It has made me like the entire game far less than I would. I have never ever wanted a nerf more than to Tickatus of any game, any CCG, ever. I absolutely loathe the card and wish they just moved it to Wild or make it 9 mana or destroy their own cards. Anything.
I don't know what makes you think you'd win against jaraxxus with any control deck but you're free to dabble in your incorrect fantasies I guess.
And honestly, what would "control" win against? Take away tickatus from warlocks for the sake of argument, priests can't do jacksquat against 2 mana 6/6 for multiple turns. Warriors can't do anything either. Are there other """control""" decks in the game? And what makes you think those control decks wouldn't still lose to DoL mage, which can still high roll, but takes longer to do so? That is a problem against more proactive decks to be certain, but priests snoring their lifetimes away? Not so much. Or against clown druids or any other deck with massive amounts of value and threats.
When your gameplan is sitting on your hands answering stuff and your wincon is boring your opponent to death you can have a positive wr% if 60% of the meta is hyper aggro with no way to refill...and current aggro decks have no issues with running out of resources.
I unironically can't wait until team 5 nerfs tickatus so warlocks will finally put good cards in their decks and then everyone will be like omg why can't I win against control warlocks, this is tOtAlLy uNfAiR hOw cAn tHiS bE.
I frankly don't give a toss if my otk deck is unfun for you or anyone else, to put it bluntly, I sure as hell have a blast playing it.
If you're in wild, tech in a dirty rat (like all reno decks do), a loatheb in your control deck or play any tier 1-2 aggro deck which has 60+ wr% against all combo decks and realise that if blizzard had any actual interest in making otk decks a thing of the past, mozaki and il'gynoth wouldn't exist.
Because, honestly, your solution is nuking otk decks out of the game which means that the only things left in wild (standard has no viable otk deck other than lifesteal dh, all-powerful tier 4 meme that it is) will be hyper aggro and control, with nothing else left. I also would like to hear what would you do about reno priest (which technically is an otk since they kill you from 30+hp in a single turn unless, guess what, you rat their spawn of shadows/raza out beforehand) or something like shudderwock (which, by all intents and purposes, is an otk in the sense that after you play the first one, the opponent is dead no matter what).
Made me lol when reading mecha'thun tho, I'll give you that, haven't seen that played in almost a year, the poor lad.
This thread is absolute gold. Here I thought integrity in a competitive game meant not cheating but no, apparently integrity is doing your best to win? That's one curious concept right there. Your frankly dumb archery example is not about integrity, it's called sportmanship and it's not in any way, shape or form required (and in fact I wouldn't fault the archer for taking his shots, hardly his fault if the other is incompetent enough to have faulty equipment) to have "integrity".
But even discarding that, the absolute balls to call integrity of all things in a children's card game when you don't have to play it competitively...there's a word for that too, but I'll be kind and leave it to your imagination. Newsbreak, when playing a competitive anything most people want to have fun and, again, for most people having fun = winning. And, will ya look at that son, you win more often by net-decking (which has always been true of literally every dccg since they were a thing). If you get your kicks by climbing ladder with your homebrew deck (which is basically identical to thousands of other decks, that I'm certain about because that's how deck building works) then you do you, but don't come whine like a little baby when you keep facing people who netdeck. Why on earth should they try to have less fun by playing suboptimally? To do you a sodding favour, you hilariously selfish hypocrite? Give me a break. Go play casual if you're triggered by people playing to win, that should maybe calm you down a little.
Then again, after seeing creeps comparing having integrity to employing personal touch (I don't even want to know where, what or whom), maybe it's just as well most hearthstone players don't have integrity. Yuck.
Oh wow! I didnt even see that it wasn't in my feed. Well its at least some good news but it should have come this week really. Thats at least another 4 days of this hell, not sure I have it in me tbh lol. Think I will sit this one out until the nerfs drop.
There's GM this week and I think most GMs wouldn't want nerfs announced 1 day before having to turn their decks in (other than Luna who said she'd be fine with it but also admitted being in the minority). Honestly, if ladder is really that bad for you and you don't want to counterqueue, just don't play, you don't have a quota to fill, lad.
I want to point out also that the "play x number of cards that cost naturally 8 or more" is bugged since for some reason any combo with aviana (aviana + kun + maly + 2 UI etc) doesn't trigger it even though it obviously should.
You also don't need any luck for the rancor one, you can simply load your deck with 0 cost minions, rancor and draw and just play them out and rancor pretty early if you put enough card draw in your deck.
But speaking of bugged, I think the bulked up achievement is bugged too since it triggered when I had just 3 copies of the same minion, not 4.
The 5€ bundle (which gave me y'sera, lovely). I was lucky enough to win a giveaway for the mega bundle of darkmoon faire and a regular one for barrens though, so that's definitely helped me.

Battletag: Kurgo#21386Region: EUTrade Only?: Yes, you go first0
Two weeks ago there were control, midrange and aggro decks? Did you just go into a coma 2 years ago and now think that it's two weeks instead?

Naah I think most are the priest kind of whiner. Or maybe people who think control warrior can be a thing if tickatus isn't a thing.

It's cute that you think priest has any shred of chance against jaraxxus.
