It's a weird card to be sure, but I think the niche it serves is relevant enough that it might see play in a minion-based Spirit of the Frog deck to cycle into Haunted Visions/Lava Burst/Lightning Storm depending on the build. Pairs well with Zentimo, and unlike traditional evolve effects, you get the full value of the minion before it evolves. Ancestral Spirit's niche was double-dipping on a large/signficant minion, so you'd try to play it proactively. This has the flexibility to be played on a minion that's stuck to the board.
I was thoroughly confused when I first saw the card, but now that I've thought of the implications, I like it.

Hmm. This is odd, because in order to build your deck to maximize this card's effectiveness, you'd likely cut staples like Houndmaster to hit 3 Beasts as often as possible. 3 mana discover a minion is otherwise Stitched Tracker without the 2/2 body, and naturally it's worthless in Spell Hunter.
This is powerful reload, but a Hunter deck whose minions are purely Beasts and nothing else is a taller order than at first glance.

For those of you keeping track, Oondasta can now fit into at least 4 classes: the already existing Deathrattle Hunter, Big Beast Druid, a support card for Paladin decks running Shirvallah, the Tiger, and now this Rush package in Warrior decks.
Never mind the fact that Akali immediately impacts the board even when you just cast it outright. Never mind the fact that there exist a few cards to cheat this out from either your hand or your deck. Never mind that the card draw tutors out specifically Rush minions, and even the fact that even the stats it gives out are fast as well. If this stays alive, all of that applies again next turn. This is a tremendous tempo swing and win condition that Warrior would absolutely build around.
This is what Rush needed in Warrior.

Mark of the Lotus with a downside is still Mark of the Lotus, and it's a downside that's easily mitigated in the kind of deck you'd play this in. Probably won't appear in any Heal Zoo variants, but might help pave the way for different Zoo variants.
As a bonus, if Discard Zoo becomes a thing, it's a great discard magnet for the new discard cards if you can't afford to sacrifice board presence.

Holy Smite/Arcane Shot with upside. And Shaman has the tools to get value from it. Solid.

The design seems counter-intuitive at first glance. Clearing your side of the board when you had to develop it last turn to trigger the effect in the first place?
As always, this might play out differently in practice, but I'm not sure what deck would want this besides a FL Jaina deck with an elemental minion package.

The fact that it's a Deathrattle is crucial. Absolutely will see play.

I think people are under-valuing how deck-warping this card is. Fulfilling this condition to have a 2 mana 3/3 weapon is the kind of effect a deckbuilder would be willing to bend over backwards to accommodate. We haven't been lacking overload cards, and this helps cover the weakness of dead overload turns by still having the ability to answer the board. And 3 attack that early is incredibly important for dealing with early game boards.
Pre-emptive as this is, I'm going to say this is probably the best Shaman card in the set, easily.

Now the cloning cards in Boomsday make way more sense. This card enables all of that, and at a slick 1 mana. It's a poor minion as a turn 1 play, sure, but the deck or archtypes this is designed for will certainly make great use out of it, especially in combination with Bobsandi or whatever his name is.

You know what's funny about this? Mana Wyrm might be one of the best 2-cost minions in the game now. No, seriously. The bar is set so low right now that a nerfed 1-drop might actually be better than most of them. It'll probably replace Amani Berserker in Tempo Mage, too.
