Bluelights posted a message on Literally nobody uses original decks whether it's casual or ranked (If any, it's like less than 5%)Posted in: Standard FormatThere once was a tale of Timmy, Johnny and Spike. Three Magic players.
Timmy liked to have fun and do weird and strange things and just have fun. Enjoying a deck is the most important part for this player.
Johnny likes to make decks and see if he can make an interesting card work. He sees making deck not as a part of card game, but THE part of the card game.
And Spike likes winning and to feel powerful. For the Spikes of this world winning equals fun. If they are not winning they aren´t having fun. They don´t care where the deck comes from, they care if it wins.
This applies to every card game. Now it´s difficult to fit exactly into this and a lot of people have a bit from another, but these are the general archetypes of the players that exist in card games.
Moral of this story everyone plays the game for a different reason, and neither of them is playing the one true way to play a card game. And neither of them is entitled to another player playing the game their way.

GameTheory345 posted a message on [Easy 5] Mechanical Juggernaut | Control warriorPosted in: [Easy 5] Mechanical Juggernaut | Control warriorIt's just Murphy's Law. Once you switch to Tempo Rogue or Miracle Mage or something to counter Mech Hunter, you'll start facing Control Shamans and other Control Warriors. Nothing you can do about it :/

Point is it was turn 5, I now understood how the card works, but at heart it doesn't seem right that with an increase cost he still managed to kill my Loatheb on turn 5.

Pretty good but I don't see the point of buying more wings except for the additional heroes, if you are interested in that. I bought up to 3 wing and kinda starting to regret it. Pretty funny overall but I rate it as "luxury" content / not safe money wise.
Edit: forgot to mention that I already have tons of cards of RoS and already cashed the pity timer, that's why I'm not going forward

Kingsbane rogue (the aggro version) can do great things against it, They have no weapon removal.
Sadly Big Priest is and will forever be what ruins the wild format until they rework Barnes.

Despite everyone judge the Wild Meta manages to represent all classes at some extent. I still do not approve that Barnes stays the way he is but that's on me I guess. Nice post btw.

It is a great set indeed and I agree. But i cannot follow the logic of the rarest card=useless. It feels bad when you find them sure, but wouldn't it be worse that all the good and necessary cards are also the most expensive?

dusting a Golden leeroy Jenkins 1 month before the nerf.

Yeah you are right, i didn't think of that through. Paper seems a good solution then.

Wouldn't be easier to create a discord channel where you found other people to play old cards with?

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the warrior class. The thinning is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical cardgames most of the draws will go over a typical players's head. There's also garrosh's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Rafael Sabatini literature, for instance. A Truly warrior player understands this stuff; he has the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of those draws, to realize that they're not just insane - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who misreview this class truly ARE idiots - of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Garrosh's existencial summon call "Victory or death!," which itself is a cryptic reference to Ayn Rands's character Ragnar Danneskjöld. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ben Brodes's genius unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Horde tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
