In Wild, I was climbing up the aldder fast with my new Thief Rogue. But every other game I face another Big Priest and it's getting tiresome.
Any tricks or ways people know to beat this particular deck? I hate how SO many people are using it...
One way I thought of one way by adding Muck Hunter and poking off their 2/1s to limit their resurrection, but it turns out by turn 5 they've already revived their Ragnaros.
Pray he draw only useless spells or 6 mana spell summon 5/5 into barnes.
Never happen, Barnes turn 4 or 3 with coin never fails, not once, 100% of the time in hundreds of games the priest players play this cursed card on curve.
Blizzard refuse to nerf this card a least they can fix the bug of always be draw before turn 4.
Yea big priest has and will always be a big problem in wild. I got tired of facing them so I switched to my big priest since it’s the only real way to win. And the games are so damn boring. Its being a mirror mAtch means it’s slow and total rng win.
Sadly like many have said, until
barnes is fixed it is just going to be a problem. But I’m sure like ever post I read on the issue. No one will care and use the same old stupid line. “It’s wild who cares”.
I'm 3-2 versus Big Priest over the last several hours with my Bomb Warrior deck that includes Brann Bronzebeard and Iron Juggernaut. Just try to hold on long enough so that the bombs and mines do their work. On the other hand, do not try to use Unseen Saboteur. It's hard for that to backfire against Big Priest.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
Honestly the key is playing classes that can actually deal with the deck. You can't expect to beat the deck with every class because even in wild some classes have glaring holes in their toolkits compared to things like mage, midrange rogue lists, or even some shaman builds.
Even with the new cards I still hold by my opinion that the key is transform effects. If you transform a couple of their high priority targets and they don't get early copies from Barnes or Essence you often will win. The key to using transforms intelligently also lies in really understanding the Big Priest win condition when they don't get dream highrolls of turn 3/4 Barnes into Y'Sharjj/Rag. Often times they win attrition control games by to dump massive damage/pressure minions (again mostly Rag & Y'Sharjj" into their pool and instantly reloading when you clear. That is why you really need to prioritize NEVER killing Rag unless you're going to lose anyway because you essentially double the problem down the road.
Less knowledgeable players, for some odd reason, seem to place priority with removing statues or LK, which is all wrong if you're not an aggressive deck. From a control stand point statues are a slow chip damage minion that gives useless lifesteal and can kill a minion of yours that probably would have died anyway. Lich King, while being a sizeable 8/8, gives relatively low impact rng spells to the priest (Death Grip gives the priest a minion that they don't want to play into their spellstones, Obliterate is a slow single target removal, Frostmourne also funnels lower quality minions into their pools, Coil is only deadly if they already have the push from dead Rags/Y'Sharjjs, & the other three give minor board clears or put the priest deeper into fatigue. Rag and Y'Sharjj are always your transform targets. Without them the BP is more or less a really weird handlock player with lots of removal & a bunch of giants.
Any and everything that summons weenies for your opponent; also Polymorph effects. I'm convinced Cornered Sentry is core for every Warrior deck in Wild right now, except for Baku of course.
They might just draw Barnes on curve into Y'shraaj, which usually means you lose no matter what. But that's only a little more likely than Paladin playing two Mountiain Giants on turn 3 - those are the two virtually uncounterable win-cons in Wild aside from insane mech Hunter or Token Druid openers.
I’ve been playing this deck a lot and it is almost auto win aggainst big priest, and a really strong deck overall after you get used to it.. the frog is op, basically an auctioneer for 3 mana.. having a deck tracker might help a lot to know what cards to go, and always mulligan for draw..
Sometimes I just sit back, have my cup of coffee together with homemade wrap and I turn on Hearthstone and pick the Reno Mage. I really like this deck becausde of his high skill ceiling and abbility to bully anything. Even the Big Priest. There are literally the games where his Spellstone summons only Sheep, Kazakus Sheep and that 0/3 dude from Saronite Taskmaster. I mill him. I transform him. I drag him to fatique. I bully him with my fat ass legendaries. Those moments are the good moments in my Hs play experience :D
Priest in general (regardless of archetype) is really weak to hard stops and anything that either changes or outright devalues what they have in the resurrect hopper. Anything that changes their heavier cards to something they can't use or changes what they have on board is one of two ways to go.
The other is Coldlight Oracle abuse to burn up all their important combo pieces.
I always wanted to create control deck which counters big priest. I put Mad Summoner of course, i was able even to bounce it back and play again. So i summon for him 14 imps, he resummon 3 of them and maybe 8 his minions dies until this happen:
So my questions are: - should i summon garbage minions with different names, to actually count?
Does Archmage Vargoth recast resurection spells with the same targets?

Kingsbane rogue (the aggro version) can do great things against it, They have no weapon removal.
Sadly Big Priest is and will forever be what ruins the wild format until they rework Barnes.
Pray he draw only useless spells or 6 mana spell summon 5/5 into barnes.
Best card in HS? Mastercard.

Mad Summoner
Mad Summoner try this guy
Praise Malygos
Play pirate warrior, aluneth mage or kingsbane rogue to absolutely smash those degenerates.
I'm 10-1 with mage against them right now.

The only way to beat them is face decks. Transform or summon effects are pretty much worthless.
Mad Summoner
Ah so I just have to go all the decks I've hated so so much? Brainless agro decks in wild, a format that supposed to be 'fun'.
As a Rogue, Sap is great.
But you have to cut the game short enough, include an Oil setup or another burst package.
If you want to consistently beat big priest, which is OP's question, then yes?
Or you can continue losing to the 'fun' big priest deck.
