    @HenryXLII

Not too sure what to do with the hero power. It just seems too strong even as a 0/1, Slightly weaker than Mana Tide Totem for cheaper without a card. Might need reworked a bit.

Under Tour De Azeroth "Standard only, too, nobody wants to hear about those crazy Wild places; you'll be picking from Basic, Classic, TOG, ONiK, MSG, JtU, KFT and KnC." and under example cards "Your example cards may not produce any unique token elements. The only exception to this would be if the only unique token cards they produce are one that are already produced by your Hero Power."

Ah ok thank you! I just thought of a potential new hero power.
"Excavation": "Burn the top card of your deck, draw a card." I intend to create some cards with burn synergy already, and this was my back up hero power if the no token rule passed. Thoughts?

    @HenryXLII

First up the hero power seems a bit too good. If your ahead you pretty much just win and of your behind then it's pretty useless. Plus that hero power is best suited to aggro who can get ahead and dump their hand fast to avoid overdrawing and I don't think that's what your aiming for.

Forgotten Drake: Seems very strong. Flanking Strike is a really good card and this has dragon synergies plus the potential for more damage. Maybe lower the damage to 2/4? Still stronger than Fire Plume Phoenix.

Temple Guardian: Very strong but fair card and can help save you from overdraw. I like it!

Stone Strike: Pretty strong but it's hard to really tell how much the unearth effect is worth.

    Safety Inspector: Awesome card!

Voxrul: Scary as hell but I guess he's fair since you have to take the damage first. I like him!

Now a few things, your cards must be standard only and can't produce any unique tokens so you'll probably have to change yours a wee bit.

     A few questions
    1. How would you change the hero power? I want drawing to be a key mechanic for this class, and I want overdrawing to be a constant threat. The idea behind the workers is that your opponent has more control over them than you, due to them having 1 health, and zero attack. Meaning your opponent can be a jerk and just leave your worker's alive.
    2. Where did it say that my cards needed to be standard and cannot produce tokens? I am willing to make the changes, I just want to make sure I know the rules. We are doing A whole new world, Tour De Azeroth, And New Minions Coming correct?
Thanks for the feedback overall! I agree that the drake really needs to be changed, and am still toying with a few ideas. I will post a review of your class later tonight.

Behold everyone! The first concept for my class is complete. I introduce you to Gelena Runeseeker the Archaeologist!

Gelena's whole focus is digging to the bottom of her deck as fast as possible to find the answers she needs! I understand having a class based around card draw is a dangerous design choice. So I have to key rules in mind for this class.

1: This is at it's core, a defensive class, focusing on surviving and winning with late game value and combos. Every card I make will attempt to deter aggro

2: I am going to avoid giving this class hard removal. Having a class with this much draw and strong removal options would be no fun to play against.

So what is going to encourage players to draw through their deck like madmen? That is where her new keyword comes into play.

This effect is still a work in progress, as the class originally did not have a new keyword. But I wanted something to push the card draw theme of this class.

But what is card draw without any cards? Here is a first look at some of her cards!

And with that my first draft is complete! Please let me know what you think about each aspect of the class, especially any criticism. Now if you excuse me, I must collapse onto the couch.

Making a hero with an upbeat comical theme is harrrrrrrrrrrrrd. Literally all the art I find the characters have cold stoic faces.

Would it be weird to make an Archeologist class based on the secondary wow profession - Archeology? Iv been reading upon that and it seems like it could be an interesting area to tackle :)

That's actually the idea I have had for a while, and the first one I intend to try. It's kinda screwed if the no token rule goes through.

Hopefully when I unveil it you find it interesting!
Oh boy, that is not something i wanted to hear :D
You and me both. I had a mini heart attack when I read you were considering doing an archeologist class!
:D How much of it do u have already? I might just let u have it i guess if u have some sizeable progress into it, or at worst we can both do our best and see who comes on top :D Iv just read through the wiki about it and the artifacts and other stuff to familiarize myself with it, since my wow knowledge is -999. Im probably also in a disadvantage never actually playing wow and doing the archeology stuff myself, so i dont know which items/locations/etc would be popular and so on ... tho it could be an advantage too :D
I have all of the flavor done, as well as roughly 6 cards, including the base legendary and the Quest. But all of it is in my head at the moment.  If you want to make the class, you should go for it too! This is a competition after all and having a direct competitor will help me in the long run.

Edit: Looks like you're having trouble with the Class border. I would recommend using an existing one.

where's the fun in that? plus, i want to make a new card type anyway, so i might as well try and make the border.
You might have to go the extra mile and Photoshop every card into your boarder. I would make your cards on Hearthcards first, and then photoshop the image, rarity gem, and text into your new card back.
If you really want your boarder in their selection, you probably want to contact a Hearthcards moderator.

@Muddler Your hero power should only give one Coin in order to be more consistent with the other heroes. A hero power is always a loss in tempo, Paladin has 2 mana 1/1s, Mage deals 1 for 2, etc, etc. Aside from cluttering your hand, your Hero Powet has no downside for how consistent it is. I also think getting 1 coin is much cleaner, and even more flavorful, since your making an actual investment which is not guaranteed to have a gain.

Tell me your thoughts about this concept. Is the Hero Power balanced? The keyword?

I am not a fan of the Hero Power. It's got too many variables and is RNG dependent. Plus it's a nightmare to balance. It reminds me of the Shaman hero power, which is not a good thing in my eyes.
As for the keyword, I think it's great! I like the idea of having a limited resource to spend on cards. That said, you need to be careful, and consider how much manna one Azerite is worth. I also want to see some powerful cards that cost Azurite, but not too powerful. Like I would not print any low cost minions with high stats and Azerite cost slapped on. Still explore this idea.
Oh and I would not change the hero power to "Gain 1 Azerite" because then it's useless for your opponent.

So we only need to meet three criteria out of six? Just wondering because I have been brewing an idea for a while, but the hero power involves tokens.

Edit: Never mind, we are voting for the three. I just realized that.

Well, said trash can be even Prince Keleseth, which is no trash for u, but will very much be for your opponent, so no ... u dont have to put any bad cards in your deck. Also u can just shuffle some token as well for example.
I get the idea, but like i said, do it on a higher cost card. Overstated early minions with a "downside" can safely ignore the downside 99% of the time. At least a downside that ppl usually make and yours falls into that category.
Your right. I think 5 mana would be a far safer without making the card bad. I can then do a lot more tuning with the stats.

    Thoughts on this?

The idea is to give minions your opponent might not want to draw. Such as Doomgaurd or Acolyte of Pain in a control match up, while getting a rather large body for the tempo you lose. My only issue, and I am not sure how to fix it, is playing the card on an empty board. It's too good in that situation, and I can't think of a way to reword it that would not be confusing.

Rofl ... the presumable downside looks more like an upside. U get a 5/4 for 3 mana and give your opponent some crap, basically denying him a draw. Mucho balanced :) As i said before, do these effects that should supposedly justify stat increase on a higher cost cards, not on 1-3 cost ones. The downside will not be downside at all in most cases.
The idea of it being a downside is that you have to put said trash cards into your own deck. Lowering overall consistency. So you have to have a card that's not very good for your opponent, and you have to take something off of your board, which in the short term is more of a downside in my eyes.

Is it worth crafting the weapon for this?  I am not very impressed with it conceptually so I don't really want to craft it. I have been playing the deck without card to relative success.
