posted a message on Nerf Predictions

Secret Passage getting nerfed to only draw 4 cards instead of 5 would be a fair nerf.  A mana increase would effectively kill the card which would be a shame because it's a neat concept.

Seeing as it's a late game play anyways, the 1 card reduction shouldn't be too harsh as it still allows you to peak at > 20-25% of your remaining cards

posted a message on Why are they waiting so much?

They're waiting because the problems in this expansion aren't nearly as obvious as when they released Ashes.  People are upset about Druid high-rolling them but you can't even begin to compare that with how broken DH was a few months ago.  All things considered, this expansion seems to be pretty decent as far as balance is concerned.

The only nerf I'm nearly sure of is changing the draw in Secret Passage from 5 cards to 4.

I think removing the dual-class designation of Lightning Bloom and making it strictly a Shaman card would solve a lot of issues people have with Druids at the moment...but I don't see Blizz doing that

HS isn't pay to win.  It's pay to have more fun but all the purchased card packs in the world aren't going to help you if you don't know what you're doing.

OP - you realize there are threads like this after literally every expansion, right?

well sorting is new and manacheating is extreme like never before

The mechanic is irrelevant because the same complaints are made about whatever new gimmick or favored play style Blizz introduces in the expansion.

posted a message on Buffing Classic cards!

I would love for the entire concept of overload to be revisited and possibly revised.  The point of overload was supposed to give the player access to a spell which produced in excess of its mana cost with the drawback of less playable mana the following turn.  Over time these cards have been power crept by offerings in almost every other class but without the penalty of lost mana.

At the very least, can we make Lightning Storm deal a straight up 3 damage across the board instead of this '2 - 3' nonsense?

Excited to try this deck out.  I tried the current model of the deathrattle deck and was getting absolutely torched but it was something different and fun to play from the usual meta.

Killbin is intolerable to listen to. All the yelling and spazzing out is so fucking annoying.

That type of personality including the, 'OMG I'm super surprised yelling face' picture on the video thumbnail is pretty much par for the course nowadays.  The younger demos love yelling and surprises.

    Priest Priest and Priest again.

The decks I enjoy playing the most are mid-range/control style decks which by their very nature ensure a 40+ minute Priest game where I'm either furious from a loss because I feel like I've wasted the better part of an hour banging my head against the wall or I'm relieved to have not lost; either way, there's no happiness or fun to be had so why bother?  I see Priest queue up against me and it's auto-concede unless I'm trying to extend a bonus winning streak.

posted a message on [LEGEND] Deathrattle Egg Hunter (62% WINRATE)

I love the idea of this deck but I absolutely suck with it.  I don't have Al'ar or Caine and only have 1ea Porcupine so maybe the deathrattle minions I subbed out aren't doing the trick but it seems like I can't make anything stick on board.

I definitely want to stick with it as it's a nice break from HL Hunter but any suggestions would be great.

highlander hunter isn't that strong compared to DH.

....you do realize highlander hunter has had a higher win rate then DH ever since their second nerf?

Not in D4+ ranks. Hsreplay win rates and tier list are just wrong.

I'm not saying you're incorrect on this because I personally don't know the right answer but I see this exact claim of "HS Replay numbers are all incorrect" all the time between here and other forums and it has never been followed up with any information which backs up the claim.

Can you explain why their numbers are wrong?

posted a message on Forever stuck on Gold 9-8 for 2-3 Month now

Craft the Priest Quest....not the deck, just that particular card.  Play it on turn one and roughly half of your opponents will most likely concede.  That should get you to platinum.

posted a message on can anybody explain why...

I've never kept any data on this (so it's most likely confirmation bias) but the majority of my time is in casual on my phone at work.  I get in maybe 20-25 ranked matches a month at home on my PC and it seems like whenever I hit a losing streak of 3 - 4 games I will take a few days to a week off just to play other games and whenever I come back, I can almost guarantee a 5 game win streak....almost as if the game knows something and is trying to suck me back in.

posted a message on Agree or Disagree? Metamorphosis sucks now.

I never had that much of a problem with the card in the first place.  It always sucks when you are on the receiving end of big damage bursts which come seemingly out of nowhere but in my experience playing against DH, the card seemed to be used as a removal tool for its first burst and then it was 50/50 between face and minion for its second depending on the situation at hand.

The 10 damage for 5 mana is incredibly unbalanced on the surface but the application of it makes it a fairly awkward card.  It's not really a 10 damage card for 5 mana as it requires the use of your 1 mana hero power so it really was a 10 dmg card for 7 which isn't really too bad when you consider something like Rolling Fireball doing 8 for 5 (I'm aware one can only attack minions and one can go face).  The turn you play Metamorphosis cost you 6 mana for only 5 dmg which is nothing special but I always looked at as the players 'down payment' on the ability to produce 5 damage for only a single mana the following turn...so it all seemed to balance out.

Breaking down this card now shows your down payment of 6 mana only netting you 4 damage for the reward of a Soul Fire which doesn't discard anything on the following turn.  There are probably situations where this card is still viable but I would most likely rather the free dust and move on with my life.

posted a message on Shaman doing a lot better now

I've said this maybe a month or two ago but right now, Shaman may be the best balanced class in the game.  There are multiple archetypes which can be built and almost every card feels like fair value...the problem is that "fair value" isn't good enough to win in this meta right now.
