TallStranger posted a message on Standard Balance Changes Coming Soon - Might Include Neutral Cards!Posted in: NewsI fail to understand why people insist on destroying this card. Making it random or only stealing a copy of a card makes it unplayable. Period.
Here's a crazy idea: don't create a deck with only one wincon. As you said, druid and mage have multiple win conditions. If demon hunter or paladin players insist on playing decks that rely on a single card to win, that's a risk they should have to take.

Random dragons on turn 9 vs. discovered legendaries turn 8, plus you put a body on the board on turn 7. Yeah... See ya in one month.

The "miscellaneous general Mercs Tasks" seem like a nice way to fill in the gap after you've finished the task chain but aren't quite maxed, or to earn additional Renown. The party requirements add an interesting twist to the process, so you can't just bench a dude and burn through everything with the same old Fire team.

This is about as far from true gacha as random rewards can get.

Theotar will never fall out of favor unless they remove all single-card win conditions from the game. They would also have to avoid creating any strong combo archetypes until he rotates out. As long as any of these exist, Theotar will be prominent.

Tournaments are utterly irrelevant when it comes to balancing for ladder. Only Naga Priest is even remotely competitive in a non-tournament environment.
8
Hunter has a significantly higher win rate at all levels of play.

As far as I know, it was completely canceled, not just put on hold.
HOWEVER, I suspect it was canceled because it would have been impossibly complicated to get all the national currencies to play nice together. Now that there's a universal Hearthstone currency (runestones), Blizz may be ready to take another look at it.

Nah, the Theotar fix is pretty significant.

Did I say it was impossible for Priest to win? I don't remember saying that. My point was that if you are playing something else and keep seeing a lot of Priests, it's a thing you can try.
But congrats all the same.

Disrupt a Quest Priest with one of the many, many tools we have now, and they can never finish the quest.

It kind of doesn't matter if the cards are good. If you were to disenchant the entire mini set, the dust value would be worth more than the gold you paid. If you have 2000 gold, it's foolish not to buy it.
Of course, like I always say, dusting Standard cards is short-sighted. Even if you don't like them, you should hold on to them at least until they rotate out. You never know when something will get buffed or become better through new synergies in a later set.
