no, but it  is decent, it was a really good reward system (best in the market) when Hearthstone was in open beta, the other digital ccgs set a better reward system jsut because hearthstone set the bar of one, the ones that kept models that were inferior to Hearthstone's model (Solforge, Heroes of might and magic among others) had to close because their reward system wasn't attractive.

Yeah but thats 3 years ago also adding up the fact this year has 3 expansion (however they did make legend no dup and free adventure ill give the benefit of doubt) but it might soon be very out dated

Magic the Gathering reward system is like pay $5000 a year and get $100 a year in rewards. You kids have it easy!

Sorry but at least you can resell cards. this you cant
you cant compare a tcg and ccg

I am not reading all of these essays, so I might end up repeating some points.

The issue here is that Blizz has given us more things to grind for AND a shorter time to grind for it while barely given us enough tools to earn as much rewards as we used to. Like, it was fine before, the adventures gave us breathing time.

Two adventures a year and an expansion in between? Easy, we can manage. Two expansion and one adventure in between? Not as easy but we can still manage. Three expansion and no adventure in between? Wtf, there is no way we can catch up, surely you will give us more ways to reach those rewards?

And ben brode says yes, his answer? some wonky festival with okay-ish reward that lasts like 3 weeks out of 48 weeks of a year. Oh and a legendary in the first pack with like 43.5% chance of turning out to be trash.

That is not balanced at all; Increasing the rewards by 150% and shortening the time by 50% while giving like 20-30% help is not gonna work out. This will burn out too many people.

I would also go into the whole paying customer experience being shit but I am sure some of you already pointed it out.

Yeah I think your right on this domino effect where there was too much too soon and like a old system handling a much more performance base game

In my opinion quest wasn't bad idea rather the way it was design and played with (as if it was either on a low power level or had to build very physically) but I feel and hope quest will return as better design a feel more rewarding and more stronger when completed

"How can a non-paying customer have the right to complain?"
They don't. Non-paying customers are worthless.
We all have but one power: We can choose to quit the game if we want to. That's it.
Thats kinda rude and plain ignorant. Non paying customer keep the game alive and can introduce more new player that might pay to play the game and if let just say if all f2p left I assure you this game won't be this big

I'm sure your preaching to the choir here. Personally I've always thought the day to day rewards for Hearthstone where just a bit off, even from day one, although it did get better with the Brawls, and ladder rewards. The daily quests for the most part are fine,

BUT the way they deal with the 100G limit from 30wins a day is garbage, especially when they added more full expansions a year. the whole system is horrendously outdated, it's more or less balanced around when the game was 3 years old.

I just think that 100G a day is too unrealistic and unattainable for any typical person who plays Hearthstone, not to mention the whole concept as it is creates a plethora of problems.

    • Firstly you can only get portions of the 100G limit by winning, which encourages players not too experiment but rather chose specific decks that maximise their chances to win.
    • Secondly, Hearthstone games have a VERY high variance of game durations. One time you can play a game that lasts 60 seconds, the next A GAME LONGER THAN HOTS! The way that 100G is currently given encourages fast brainless decks over slower, more thoughtful ones.
    • The 100G requires so many wins for so little reward that most players chose to just stack daily quests and complete them all at once because it's more efficient. This means less active day to day users, and less games played.
    • Finally wins and by extension that 100G is harder to achieve the higher you go, which seems counter productive to gold farming, it even encourages players tank their rank to ensure an easier time, or go to casual. Overall that seems horrific for new players.

I'd argue that the game would be about right with rewards gain if it was more passive by just playing the game normally in whatever manner you prefer...

Meaning, I think they should make the 100G limit tied to stuff like games played, actions taken, damage done, spells cast, minions summoned. It would be as easier for more people to get more gold even if it's just an extra 30G a day, it would add up. Not to mention it might go as far as solving some of the problems it currently causes.

This. Yeah honestly it seem even pointless for and promote ultra aggressive deck and makes people play long game feel bad
Good points overall I think the solution are not that bad and are doable and more fun  for creative deck building rather than just  win games with ultra powerful meta deck

When i say reward system i mean it spread through ranked and quest

I want to see people opinion on this

Edit: also if no explain why and how should it be change

That saber avatar is so damm adorable.

As for the thread.Of course not.Gold quests should give double the gold and they should give more gold for 3 wins. The gold cap might still be 100 per day but give people a decent chance to reach it.
    Hey that's pretty good

I would wish that we can get Rank Chests for both Ladders, Standard and Wild. Maybe Wild becomes a bit more popular due to this then.

Yeah i argee this such a obvious change in right direction
It would be even better if lets say the wild chest include wild packs and wild cards that would actually help give wild cards cheaper and better

    Quote from ThisOtherGuyTox >>

Sometimes it feels like people don't understand that Blizzard is a company. They need to earn money for this to work around, and boycotting will probaly make the issue worse, since Blizzard is already making less money, since more people are leaving.

It's a troubling topic, as we have few ways of actually acting towards Blizzard. And most of the common ideas include boycotting.

What would make more sense, and probaly more realistic, would be making changes to the dust system, and pack types.

The arcane Dust system is currently undervalued. One fourth for Epics and Legendaries, a fifth for Rares and a whopping eigth for commons are a problem. Blizzard should severly consider rearranging these numbers. Maybe making it a fourth baseline for Rares and Commons aswell. Meaning you would get 25 dust for rares, 200 dust for Golden Rares, 10 dust for commons, and 100 dust for Golden Commons.

Another possible change, that isen't suicide for Blizzard, would be making the option to buy different quality of packs. Like a 100 coin pack, that gives you 15 commons. Or a 1000 Coin pack that gives you 4 Epics and a Legendary baseline, with the option to roll more legendaries.

Man i have to argee Blizzard has to make money but lets be honest we made small indie company joke numberous times if they wanted they could and did make some good changes that doesn't directly lead to that such no Dup legend and free adventure . And Good post :D

Oh please stop whining. I'm completely f2p and I have more than 90% on the Wild collection. I have all adventures bought for gold, all essential legendaries. As for KFT expansion - since release I played only arenas - now I have 10 legendaries and a bit of epics, all commons, and missing 10 rares, and about 7k of dust for crafting. I played about 100 arenas since KFT release bought only for gold and now I have 7900 gold remaining.

So please, better address issue regarding balance, "synergy picks" in arena or unfair card distribution among classes.

Okay but you are a hardcore player that at least started playing from naxx its unfair to say it totally possible for some average joe to get this far.Sure its possible but it will take very long and i dont think new player has the time to wait for the good stuff of the game (also arena is invalid here since it take a good player to get wins and dont think new player can comprehend that)
And yeah i argee with arena
