I haven't tried Paladin but there's a problem with Paladin from the start, your Hero ability puts a minion on the board vs a deck that you only want to keep 1 minion on the board against - preferably with Taunt - in order to prevent the Unleash the Hounds, Starving Buzzard combo from going off for as long as possible.

That aside, have people seen versions of this deck that cut Leper Gnome and Abusive Sergeant to curve up into additional copies of Starving Buzzard, Ironbeak Owl, Animal Companion and Deadly Shot or seen versions that cut Arcane Golem? I can't tell if these are legitimate variants of hunter aggro or budget versions of hunter aggro with effective card swapping i.e. Misdirection instead of Snake Trap, Animal Companion instead of Arcane Game, another Starving Buzzard instead of a Leeroy Jenkins etc. or whether or not people are choosing to cut the one drops for more two and three drops intentionally for less aggro, more combo. I keep getting hit with Deadly Shot, which leads me to believe people have figured out the 1 Taunter on board strategy.

Hunters are broken, how else can you explain the dominance of Hunters on lower tiers after the Unleash the Hounds buff compared to before the Unleash the Hounds buff? It's clear Blizzard didn't actually play test the buff, otherwise they never would have buffed it to begin with. It's an obvious example of "no one is playing with this over costed card, so let's under cost it and see what happens to the metagame" and then overnight Hunters take over mid-teir ladder.

I have nothing against aggro-strategies, at least Shamans, Warlocks and Warrior decks curve to 5, but Hunters curve to 3 and no other aggro-strategy has the ability to literally draw a new hand by resolving 1 Starving Buzzard and 1 Unleash the Hounds.

This also isn't the case of me being a bad player, I've played card games since Magic's 3rd Edition, and I have not won a single game vs this deck on ladder with any deck, let alone mid-range Druid. Ancient Watcher and Sunfury Protector/Defender of Argus doesn't work because it puts 2 creatures on the board for Unleash the Hounds to generate card advantage off of Starving Buzzard, and healing doesn't work because it's not about the speed or the damage of the deck but the speed or the damage of the deck combined with overwhelming board position and card advantage. Even if you manage to stabilize your life total, you've lost the battle of board position and card advantage as well as made your deck significantly less aggressive vs Warlock/Molten Giant. I've seen the Druid decks that use stuff like Earthring Farseer, Wild Pyromancer, Healing Touch, Innervate and Ancient of Lore, and they still die because being re-active is generally a losing strategy.

I think if you can't win a single game vs Hunters by playing a Druid deck that doesn't play 1 drops and curves out at 6 there's definitely a problem. Obviously I could build my Druid mid-range to specifically beat the Hunter deck, but at some point the meta distortion that deck causes just becomes unreasonable.

Ragnaros and Ysera are definitely bull shit, but at least they curve to 8+ and can only be played as a 1 of.

I think this is pretty standard Druid at rank ~15,

2 Sunwalker, 2 Argent Commander, 2 Druid of the Claw, 2 Azure Drake/Gadgetzan Auctioneer, 2 Starfall, 2 Keeper of the Grove, 2 Sen'jin Shieldmasta (meta slot), 2 Swipe, 2 Wolfrider, 2 Harvest Golem, 2 Savage Roar, 2 Bluegill Warrior, 2 Loot Hoarder, 2 Wrath and then I move the two lower slots around between Novice Engineer, Innervate, Claw and Elven Archer and I still can't seem to beat the damn thing. I mean you can forget Ancient of Lore, you die before you even reach 7 mana. What am I doing wrong here compared to everyone else? Sen'jin feels like a pretty weak card, but a 4 drop with 3/5 and Taunt being able to trade equally with Harvest Golem just seems better than anything that heals and I'd play a Bloodmage Thalnos if I owned one. So far it just seems like the best strategy is Innervate and pray to god my Taunter doesn't get Silenced or Deadly Shot.

I'm up for suggestions, because I don't see how other Druids are doing this.

I've reached rank 15 on ladder and can no longer progress because the most affordable and most popular deck is the Hunter, and the Hunter is broken. Since the mana change from 4 to 2, Unleash the Hounds has become an unbalanced, game winning card that forces other decks to play "unnaturally" by only keeping a single creature on the board at a time in order to avoid the Starving Buzzard, Unleash the Hounds combo creating insurmountable card advantage, and even the strategy of only keeping a single creature on the board at a time can be circumvented by Leeroy Jenkins charitably donating 2 Dragon Whelps in order to enable an Unleash the Hounds for 3 and a subsequent draw 3 off of a Starving Buzzard for 8 mana. Pre-buff, Starving Buzzard and Snake Trap were the best sources of card advantage a Hunter had, and unlike Unleash the Hounds at least Snake Trap could be avoided by killing the Starving Bustard with a spell or ability and not attacking the minions. But now the current Hunters are insufferable on ladder, between Explosive Trap, Starving Buzzard, Snake Trap and Unleash the Hounds all backed by Leeroy Jenkins, Arcane Golemn, Wolf Riders, Blue Gill Warriors, Animal Companion and Timber Wolf the deck either just swarms and destroys the opposing board and hero or uses Eagle Horn Bow + secrets, the Hero Power, Kill Command and Arcane Shots for a nigh endless stream of damage while Tracking assembles the combo. It seems to come in variable forms, some people use four 1 drops like Leper Gnome and Abusive Sergeant and other people skp the four 1 drops for two more 2 drops and 3 drops respectively, but it's still lightning fast regardless.

I have not won a single game against this deck on ladder, and I've seen Day9 streaming it as well, which makes me think that either Starving Buzzard, Unleash the Hounds or Snake Trap need to be nerfed back into sanity, ideally by not allowing Starving Buzzard to trigger off of spell based beasts altogether to prevent this stupidity from dominating ladder. It takes a whole 1 Legendary, 2 Epics and 2 Rares plus commonas to build that Hunter deck and it just wrecks the ladders.

This deck just seems even worse than the Warlock Magma Giant decks because it's comboing off while presenting a clock for the opponent instead of racing a clock to combo off, I mean does anybody have a positive win rate vs this deck with any deck that curves above 5?
