posted a message on Rank 5 Token Druid Mid-Range Aggro/Control Deck (Advice Needed)

Sure, like I said I'm not certain whether or not the draw creatures should be 2 Ancient of Lore, 2 Gadgetzan Auctioneer or a split. To the person suggesting cutting Imp Master, don't cut Imp Master and I'd sooner cut Violete Teacher and Power of the Wild because Innervate/Coin Imp Master is how this deck manages to go from being mid-range to aggro and turn Savage Roar from a removal spell into a win button. I've thought a lot about cutting Violete Teacher and Power of the Wild for Chillwind Yeti, Bloodmage Thalnos and Cairne Bloodhoof because Token Druids main problem is that it doesn't have a good Innervate target on T2 since you want to save Innervate until T4 to immediately cast Power of the Wild and have a 4/6, 2/2 and 2/2 on the board. The deck can have a lot of really mediocre plays, like T2 Power of the Wild for a Panther or T2 Innervate into a Violete Teacher follewed by a T3 Claw that are just under whelming and we may be over exposing ourselves to Unleash the Hounds and playing an otherwise weak two drop.

Are Arena packs affected by your win rate in Arena? I thought every pack was random?

Druids aren't hosed, I think a lot of FOTM Druids abandoned ship after the Pagle and Tink nerfs but I never used Pagle or Tink because they both sucked vs Warlock Zoo and Huntard over Loot Hoarders and just think we'll have to all start playing 2 copies of Force of Nature to blow everything away with Force of Nature and Savage Roar/+1-1 to minions or Panther thingy for the alpha strike or big removal play or just Facless Manipulator/Big Game Hunter/Ironbeak Owl.

We just need to be a bit more clever about deck building IMO.

posted a message on I can't find a consistent Shaman deck to climb the ladder.

I just run either Token Shaman, mid-range value Shaman or the Watcher/Blademaster Shaman or a bit of a mish mash of the three. I think what makes the deck really good at the top ranks is that all you'll see is varrying bullshit flavours of Warlock like Warlock Zoo or Handlock and you just have enough anti-aggro and Silence and Polymorph to really punish those decks and you still do pretty well vs Druid because of your draw power.

posted a message on Rank 5 Token Druid Mid-Range Aggro/Control Deck (Advice Needed)

It's still viable, I think you need the second copy of Force of Nature tho' because you're more reliant on the combo win when you can't answer a Ysera or Ragnaros as easily as you could pre Tink nerf.

Defend of Argus is shit and should be Druid of the Claw, I'm really torn on Ancient of Lore and Gadgetzan Engineer and tend to either swap them for one another or play a split.

Pagle is garbage, play a single Bloodmage or a couple of Loot Hoarders if you are on a budget and can't afford a Bloodmage and a value drop like Cairne or Hogger.

That's not surprising, Warlocks have either the cheapest or second cheapest and either most competitive or second most competitive aggro deck in the format after Hunter and Warlock Giants is the "broken" control deck of the format thanks to the imbalance of Magma Gaint, right now Druids and Paladins are face rolling as much as possible with Force of Nature and Savage Roar or Divine Wrath and Equality and Shaman is really the only "skill" deck on ladder at the moment in the sense that it's the only control deck without a horribly unfair mechanic propping it up but unfortunately it rolls over to Hunters so I think you'll have to get to Legendary before things start balancing out a bit more.

posted a message on [Legendary] Updated Druid Ramp deck!

Trust me, turn 10 Ragnaros and Defender is the difference between life and death, Argent Defender's bonus isn't that good in a ramp deck because you don't have low casting cost creatures on the board in order to get double Taunt and double bonus out of it.

Sunwalker sound so good on paper, 4/5 Taunt and Divine Shield!, but considering it's a 6 drop and the number of minions, spells and hero powers that obviate Divine Shield it really isn't that great because there's so many ways around it. You have your Taunt at 5, a Taunt at 6 is really unnecessary.

I think you need to step back and ask yourself what happens to your deck when you don't open hand Wild Growth, because it looks like your deck just falls apart. That's why I'm saying stuff like Claw matters, you need to address your curve's lack of 1 and 3 drops and Claw essentially addresses both.

You don't play Auctioneer instead of Drakes, you play Auctioneer in addition of Drakes. The end game cycle on Wild Growth and Excess Mana is just way too good to pass up.

You should put in a lot of play testing time with your deck vs Warlock aggro and just always mulligan Wild Growth out of your hand at the beggining of the game to see how the deck functions without it.

That's like the exact opposite of the truth, as soon as you get out of face roll Hunter territory Shamans are fine - I'm legendary Shaman on just mid-range made up of commons and rares after I dusted Tinkmaster.

posted a message on [Legendary] Updated Druid Ramp deck!

I have a couple of problems with this, you're basically all-in on the ramp plan and don't have enough low drops in order to survive a rush or enough high drops to survive a rush i.e. where is Claw, Loot Hoarder and either Ancient of War or Ironbark Protector?

I have always been consistently dissapointed by Sunwalker, and I prefer cards that have more forward momentum like Argent Commander or Starfire.

Defender of Argus over Sunfury Protector in a deck with Ragnaros the Firelord should be a crime punishable by death IMO.

Cairne, you should be playing him.

You are really light on 3 drops, that's probably a result of no Tinkmaster and no 1xSavage Roar so it looks like you really need Claw.

You have 2xWild Growth and 0xGadgetzan Engineer.

posted a message on Upcoming balance changes and What it means for the META

The Nat Pagle nerf is alright, there were too many games getting carried away by Nat Pagle and lucky RNG at the start of the game. The Tinkmaster Overspark nerf is bull shit tho', the card is now completely useless and contrary to popular belief I don't think it hurts Druids as much as other decks who had trouble dealing with Legendaries because Druids can just run Ancient Watchers and Ironbeak Owls to deal with Ysera or continue to not give a shit and just Savage Roar/Force of Nature for the win anyway. Saying they want more Legendaries to be playable is completely brain dead logic, Legendaries are already playable because they require an answer to them or run away with the game and if anything we need more answers to Legendaries if they want the free to play experience to be viable otherwise they're just trying to make people buy more packs because everybody will need that big golden finisher. Efficient answers to cards are never a meta problem and a lot of classes benefitted from the splashable polymorph.

I'm still surprised Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Unleash the Hounds, Magma Giant and Savage Roar went unnerfed, always next season I guess.

Cairne is way better, nothing infuriates me more than Cairne because the resources you need to burn thru' him are ridiculous - Cairne + Sunfury Protector is so de-flating.

posted a message on Rush is pretty out of control at higher ranks

Yes we can compare it to those other cards becauset the designers stated their intent when it was printed, a mass removal, board clearing effect akin to Fan of Knives, Arcane Explosion and Whirlwind and not an innane combo where the opponent gets to Leeroy Jenkins, Starving, Buzzard, Timber Wolves, Unleash the Hounds and then hit you in the face for 14 damage while drawing 5 cards.

There are about 5 cards that need to seriously be reconsidered right now in the metagame, and that's Magma Giant, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Savage Roar and Unleash the Hounds because the metagame is already polarizing towards aggro and combo with little in between.

And Flamestrike is like a terrible card right now, all sweepers are designed to make you think about whether or not you should commit to the board and risk losing resources, they are not designed to make you think about whether or not your should commit to the board or the opponent will either kill you or draw a new hand and then kill you. The card is being used strictly against its stated intent, that's reason enough to nerf it ... if cutting it's cost in half wasn't stupid enough of a balancing decision. This isn't a comparison as simple as Mortal Strike and Fireball, making a higher drops damage output less because a lower drops damage output is higher is ok, making a mass removal card turn into a freakish finisher and draw engine all in one is like way too polarizing to take seriously.

What? Compare Unleash the Hounds to Fan of Knives, Arcane Explosion or Whirlwind which are supposed to be the same category of card and Unleash the Hounds is hands down the best card in that category, it's 1 damage per minion or multiple damage to one minion or damage to a Hero, the tokens are permanent and benefit from + attack instead of spell power.

It either needs a cost increase to 3 or Starving Buzzard needs an errata to play a Beast instead of summon a Beast so spells don't trigger it.

posted a message on Rush is pretty out of control at higher ranks

The entire match up is decided by Unleash the Hounds, period.  What you're failing to understand is that some Heroes and archetypes have no choice but to "over extend" and even 2 minions on board threatens serious card advantage for the opponent.

Anyone who says Hunters are designed around Unleash the Hounds and are ok with that are out of their minds, one card should not carry an entire class.

posted a message on Pagle Required?

I'm a Legend ranked Shaman and don't think Nat Pagle is worth the dust, he's one of those cards that's easily replaced by an equivalent card like Loot Hoarder or Manatide Totem and the only reason Nat Pagle wins games is because of RNG and bad deck building. You can get to Legendary with Shamans without a single Epic let alone a Legendary, it's the cheapest control deck there is and arguably the most well rounded at answering things.
