IMO neither Jade Idol , nor other jade cards are the issue now. The problem lies in huge amounts of druid ramp combined with amazing card draw like Ultimate Infestation (which is just insane, considering how valueable card draw is in HS). Ultimate Infestation would be balanced in most of classes, but in druid, combined with ramp, that ensures that druid will play his threats faster, but also won't run out of them. Also Ultimate Infestation provides board impact similar to Firelands Portal so that's not a tempo loss at all. Druid has a very powerful core cards, but they never were OP. But with cards like Ultimate Infestation and Spreading Plague , which covered druid weak spots, now increased power level so high that there is a problem now.
Well, there is kind of feeling that some matchups are unwinnable. When playing board-centric aggro, druid with Spreading Plague just wins everytime. I tried playing reactive control priest, but it just auto losses vs any druid and quest mages. Not complaining though, it just seems that you need to choose the deck based on meta often.
I have him and I really like him (played him in taunt warrior and he had won me many games), but if he is golden and you are sure you won't play him soon, I say dust it and craft legendary you want and will use, if you, like me, don't care about golden cards.
1) Not everyone has enough dust to craft and try new decks or cards so they play old ones that don't need much refining.
2) They may be just saving dust for some weeks to see what cards are viable and then craft them. So again, they play decks that are already known as good.
1. Shaman - slots in already good deck, pretty cheap and overall useful. Hero power is nice also (not insane), helps maintaining board control. I'm sure this will be played.
2. Warrior - weapon is crazy and hero power is also good and synergyses well with a lot of warrior cards. Only worry is how losing the armor up will affect the game.
3. Druid - not the flashiest, but cerantly not the worst. Ability is useful in most board situations (against aggro - taunts, against control - spiders)and hero power is pretty good. IMO will see play.
4. Paladin - The weapon is amazing and hero power basicly upgrades existing one, but is it worth 9 mana, especially with all those great paladin late game cards? It's for sure not bad, but it might not even be played weirdly enough.
5. Priest - I'm not so sure about this one. Ability is not always good and, while hero power is great, I don't think it's that good outside of Raza decks. Most likely will see play, as mentioned, in Raza decks (if they are viable).
6. Warlock - absolutely insane hero power, but this is very slow and there are not enough viable deamons IMO to see play. Not good enough to revive warlock.
7. Hunter - it will depend if control hunter will exist. If yes, then it will be played and will be key card of that archtype, generating insane amounts of value. If not, however, it won't see any play. I'm not sure how this attempt at control hunter will end up as Blizzard have tried a lot without success so far.
8. Mage - maybe I'm bad, but I just don't see the potential. You can not activate hero power always and ability is not good enough IMO. I might be wrong, but I don't see deck with this card being stronger than burn type of mages.
9. Rogue - ehh, it may have potential, but I don't think it's good enough, especially for rogues, who have no decks whose focus is on late game. This is too expensive and ability might not be revelant enough.
It seems like this is much more suited for midrange than control as Army of the Dead and Anti-Magic Shell do more for midrange than control deck. Doom Pact is really bad, but the other choices are decent. Looking forward to playing this.
No-one played Huhuran and that 3 mana deathrattle guy, and this is even se than those, so will see no play. Hunter just can't put as weak cards in deck almost without any card draw.

Doomsayer is almost only good early game anti-aggro option. No way it should rotate out.

Curious Glimmerroot 's battlery does not work in this brawl.

Why would I play this over, for example, Sea Giant ?

Archbishop Benedictus will see play not only for memes.
