Let's put it this way. You are losing the game because your opponent has like a full board you are at 1 life and you hand is empty save for this. Can you think of anything else in the whole game that could save you? This can. This basically has 1/3 chance of doing that, since it is so completely random that almost every outcome is equally probable provided a sufficient number of spellls.
1/3 chance of winning that situation huh? I'm not entirely sure you understand how probability works... there are way too many variables involved that have not been defined in the scenario you're talking about to come to any conclusion on the probability of that happening.

They need to add "It doesn't matter because blizzard won't nerf cards anymore, they'll just cycle them out of Standard and try again" to the voting options for this thread.

Well, they've stated that the Mysterious Challenger being so powerful was a really big surprise for them

The fact they didn't see this coming makes me weep for all future attempts at balance...

That's what I mean... are you choosing to disconnect (or concede, it's more or less the same thing... they get a win either way) or does something about them roping cause you to unintentionally disconnect glitch style?

fuck the community of this game man.

Stupid motherfuckers know they gonna lose and they fkn sit there and watch the screen roping every turn doing nothing until i finally disconnect and they get a free win.

What? Why would you concede if you know they're gonna lose? I understand the roping being annoying and I don't enjoy when people do it on purpose but I'm having trouble understanding why you'd opt for "I'm gonna beat you... unless you piss me off, then I'll let you win"
Sorry, I'm not trying to harp on you as I know this is a salt thread... I'm just genuinely curious as to why that would be your decision.

The guy above had a good solution. Otherwise you save the silence for the raptor after they try a big play. I'm a fan of taunt minions against them but it's really about using the right removal at the right time. Ironbeak Owl is your friend.

posted a message on Cairne Bloodhoof

Well, I shamelessly disenchant golden cards. I really don't care about the animations and I view it as a "choose your own legendary!" but you've gotta make that call for yourself. Some people love em, some don't care much either way.

As far as Cairne Bloodhoof goes... he was the first legendary I ever crafted so I'll always have a soft spot for him from back in the day. The problem with him right now is that he's a little too slow for most of the meta. The 4 attack is a problem because so many "staple" cards have 5+ health. The fact he can't take out a Sludge Belcher or another 6 drop legendary like Emperor Thaurissan is a bit of a problem since trading against another minion is kinda his strength due to the deathrattle.

I don't see him too often though, sometimes he gets coined/innervated out by a ramp druid early or you maybe see him in deathrattle decks but even then he's usually considered too slow. Why try to combo him with your Unearthed Raptor when you could use a Nerubian Egg for almost the same effect? That being said I hope there will be a place for him again if the meta slows a bit or they add some cards that synergize well with him.

posted a message on The hack group Anonymous has DECLARED WAR on ISIS!

I think the answer to all this lies somewhere in the middle, between warm hugs and nuclear annihilation. What is that answer? I don't know, otherwise I probably wouldn't be a tech monkey for a real estate office... but my two cents on the matter anyway:

Mass bombing populations where terrorists reside only creates more terrorists. I think this is largely due to our collateral damage. I mean, how many civilians... how many CHILDREN have we blown to bits? Maimed? Crippled? If you're living there, trying to make a living, and indifferent toward the whole 'US vs ISIS" thing I'm gonna assume having a friend, family member or child killed in front of you... with "oops, it sucks but shit happens" as an answer from those who did it... is going to make you less indifferent.

Part of the problem is you can not, and will not, ever eradicate ISIS. It may change name, form, leadership... but that extremism will always exist whether you carpet bomb them or not (insert analogy about the many heads of the Hydra here). It will be an unwinnable battle of attrition but one that must be fought anyway.

The answer to me then is to starve and discredit the beast. We need to stop their cash and recruitment systems. The focus to me should not be blowing up "one guy who will be replaced before dinner" but crippling their economic infrastructure. Stop the cash flow, stop the drug flow, reduce their movement. Do your best to sequester them and starve them of any resource that makes them seem powerful and appealing. Then discredit. We have to do our best to show people that ISIS is simply "wrong" through as many channels as possible. Let them know Jihadist extremism is NOT Islam and it is not the Muslim faith, show them these men are lying to them. Ally with Muslims who can tell/show that this is not the way of Islam. Show them that we are not the things ISIS claims us to be. For crying out loud, ISIS will burn poppy fields but then pops amphetamines like pez... you're telling me real Muslims wouldn't see that as a liiiiiiittle hypocritical?

I'm not saying any of this is the exact answer and I have no illusions that dropping a few "these Muslims say we're the good guys!" flyers will stop the recruitment of new people to ISIS... but again, this isn't a conflict where you can "stop" things or "win" in a traditional sense. It's attrition... so if we're gonna be doing this for the foreseeable future why not make an investment into weakening your enemy's future position rather than just keep trucking along, blowing one head off the Hydra after another, while they gain resources? One of the ISIS controlled provinces alone recently net them $3 MILLION in profit...

This isn't a war about "we all shoot until one side falls down"... it's an asymmetric war about economic resources and propaganda... unfortunately I think we're ignoring that in favor of the typical American "HULK SMASH!" strategy. Anyway, two cents from a tech monkey. What do I know?

Bah! Can't believe I forgot TBK! He's too perfect for this deck not to include him. Bolf and Hogger are fun cards but either could easily be swapped for TBK (I just wanted Hogger to be viable so bad, I don't know why I love that card...) Probably dropping rampage for another brawl would be a good idea.

posted a message on Next expansion should focus on strong removal spells

I would assume he found it misleading because your title takes what the next expansion will be as a statement of fact. Your title reads as though you are stating what the next expansion WILL be, not what you think it is or what it might be.

"Will next expansion focus on strong removal spells?" or "Next expansion focus: strong removal spells?" are very different statements from "Next expansion will focus on strong removal spells"

    That's how semantics works.
