Have you tried working in The Curator? I find between Alexstraza, Azure Drake, Corrupted Seer, Stampeding Kodo and Jeweled Scarab it's an Ancient of Lore on steroids and more or less the lynch pin of my Reno decks.

Avian Watcher is terrible, so many cards take priority over it.

The Curator is an insanely broken draw engine, you basically get an Ancient of Lore with Taunt and the cards you draw into generally draw you into more cards i.e. Azure Drake or Sir Finley -> LIfe Tap.

As long as you can add a synergistic beast to your deck it's pretty absurd.

Beast tag has a high cost, so it probably is a 4 mana card even tho' it wouldn't be a playable card at 4 mana. Regardless they are all worth more than 3 mana, so even if you call it 3.5 mana Call's value is still insane for its cost.

And maybe you don't remember a little card called Arcane Golem, which saw tons of play pre-nerf as a 3-mana 4/2 charge without a tribal tag and with a meaningful downside.  How about Kor'kron Elite a 4-drop that sees tons of play with only one additional stat point?

Arcane Golem was replaced even pre-nerf by better alternatives a cards were released. Argent Horserider took it's place a majority of the time I would say as it was more durable and accomplished the same thing. Arcane Golem really was only seen in the odd combo deck later on.

Korkron I am unsure why it's oplayed when it's clearly understated for it's cost. I'm thinking it has to do with Warrior's lack of tools for aggression. They have Alexstraza's Champion but it requires you to build your deck around dragons which are inherently not very aggressive cards.

But you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how to value cards or are simply being disingenuous if you're saying that either Misha or Huffer are comparable to class 3-drops.

They are. I urge you to go back and read my earlier post.

I stopped taking you seriously right here, Arcane Golemn was never replaced by Argent Horserider in any aggressive deck and saying Huffer or Misha are equivalent to other class 3 drops is a joke when you look at how much they curve above Wolfrider and Dancing Swords or nerfed Arcane Golem - which are statted at 4/4 without Taunt, without a Tribe and have a drawback, hell Misha is even better than Fierce Mokey and on par with Senjin Shieldmaster for God's sake.

The problem with Team 5 is that their design philosophy is garbage, so they have to purposely release over powered cards to raise a class win% instead of retooling their base set. The problem with call is that at 9 mana it's just another card, but at 8 mana it's broken ... which is a lot like Call of the Hounds.

posted a message on Need advice on Midrange Hunter deck

I think if you want to sustain into the midgame, then The Curator and 2xAzure Drake are great at fitting the curve and providing the draw you need, I like maxing out on card draw with Loot Hoarder, King's Elek, Azure Drake and The Curator and just using stuff like Powershot to secure the board.

Also pretty much always use Barnes in Hunter, he's at worst a Yeti that activates your Beast cards or just steals a game with a good death rattle, such OP bull shit.

posted a message on Why is Blizzard designing this kind of meta?

I don't think the commercial success of the game has any thing to do with the competitive balance, casuals are the bouyant force and the IP is the hook.

posted a message on Why is Blizzard designing this kind of meta?

You have no idea how much this game would suck if it didn't revolve around proactive, low barrier to entry archetypes, control players who complain about aggro are like heads who complain about tails - they are both sides of the same coin and neither can exist in the metagame without the other. Otherwise the meta devolves into which control decks can out control the other, see Wild Priest, or which combo decks can gold fish control decks, see Wild Freeze Mage.

Aggro decks are more skill intensive than control decks as well, if you disregard the games where aggro wins because control fails to mulligan, the player who has to win on a time restriction or with limited resources has to be much more careful about if he trades, how he trades, when he trades and how he commits to the board or holds back. Control Warrior is arguably one of the easiest decks to play in the game vs aggro, and Face Hunter was one of the easiest decks to play in the game vs control because they were both too binary in their function. The trick is giving both players meaningful decisions in the game regarding board control and not just "go face" or "clear board," decks like Zoo or mid-range Paladin.

I don't think the logic with which the game is designed is bad, it's just horribly implemented by idiotic designers who should be fired (Team 5), Standard format is a failure because the base set wasn't designed to, or has been nerfed so it can't support a format by itself and the expansions haven't addressed the issue at all - people just overlooked that fact when the game was released because it was still new. Basically, you have Warrior and whatever aggressive decks exist to challenge it as long as you do things like nerf Molten Giant and rotate out Sludge Belcher, Antique Healbot, Lightbomb, Dark Bomb etc. and don't replace them with functional equivalents. Look at how terrible Warlock is now compared to release, it's one (really shitty) control archetype hinges on one card that will rotate out compared to having Handlock out of the box.

All I can say is just do yourself a favour and quit playing standard, for a "refresh" that was supposed to reinvent the meta all it did was hamper it to the point of having no diversity.

posted a message on New Legendary Card - Barnes

I hate this card already, it either just randomly wins the game by hitting value or is a fairly costed, on curve card if it misses - making it a better Ram Wrangler ... I threw up in my mouth when my opponent pulled Tirion on T4.

Blizzard seems incapable of learning it's lesson.

The card is fairly costed and fits the archetype, I'm hoping there is enough sysergy to make it work ... killing people with a Broom man, come on ...

posted a message on Cloaked huntress , how does it work so far?

It's a reasonable card based on its stats, I added it into mid-range as a 3/4 with 2 Freezing Traps in the deck and just found it's a Spider Tank with a little more soft Taunt. It's not a reason to run a bunch of traps, it's a reason to run a trap at all IMO. It could be ok in Yogg and Load if you stick to just Freeze/Explosive/Snipe I think.

posted a message on Tempo Mage of the Future. 10+ Win streaks.

I've had good results with Arcane Anomaly so far, you'll get really aggressive starts with it like Coin and 1 mana spells that clear the board and prevent the weaker two drops from trading into it on the following turns. Even simple plays like T2 Arcane Anomaly, 1 mana spell give you a ping proof threat. It's not Mana Wyrm good, but it's still pretty decent in Tempo Mage. I'm not sure if more 1 drops is how tempo mage should be played right now tho', because topping off the curve with mid-range Faceless Summoner, Firelands Portal and Ragnaros is pretty ridiculous.

I wouldn't use OP's deck to judge it tho', no Azure Drake and Arcane Missiles is kind of clueless
