Having the choice between a 2 drop against face hunters or an 8/drop against warriors isn't going to give it any play in constructed?? I'll certainly try to make it work.

One thing is certain: I'll be crafting this card.  Ranked or not ranked this is the most creative card I've seen in hearthstone and ULTIMATE fun.  Besides, with the probably large number of spells that can only work in your favour it's probably not THAT bad.  Might be viable.  Not in tournaments of course because you need consistency in tournaments but maybe in ranked it'll work in your favour > 50% =D

Anyways yeah.  I can't wait to see the 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 pyroblasts and gangups and mind controls and flame strikes and EVERYTHING GOOD.

Seriously, though, it depends on the meta.  Can you trust yourself to be safe after playing it?  At the very least lightbomb won't be in standard anymore ^_^ (Although I'm really quite sad since I main priest)

Same here Priest is my main class. Love my shiny priest =D  And yeah Shadowfiend is great but its issue is it isn't suited for a control deck.  It's suited for a tempo deck. Shadowfiend doesn't fit current priest decks but it seems to fit VERY well with Volazj.  Perhaps it will see play in his deck ^_^

Oh yes there are lots of aoes that can mess it over.  But there are more single target removal cards than aoe's.  aoe does wreck it I'll give you that but I think that having many minions is more resilient than 1 big one.

haha I just came to that conclusion myself today. :p  If they don't kill my sylvanas or cairne they'll have a bad day XD

Although I really find it hard to get behind the idea of ragnaros suddenly becoming a support healer.... I think this card is really actually good.  It makes aggro MUCH easier to deal with.  It forces aggro decks to actually trade to stop the healing while you still get an 8 health heal.  8/8 is good and 8 health each turn forces a response from any one who wants to actually win haha.

Seriously though.. Many of you need to calm down and realize that cards were BROKEN from GVG.  We need Legendaries to not be a simple "auto-include" in every deck.  Sure they need to be great but they should be balanced.  Rares and commons should be viable.  I'm happy with this.  I'm happy with the balance of legendaries being introduced.  And I think this is a good card.

That's why I don't play ysera and opt out for paletress ^_^  I still have my upgraded hero power =D

Umm.. Many control priests don't cap out at 6 mana......  Just saying.....  Mine doesn't.  I love my control priest but I always want my paletress in my deck XD  You're right about the control aspect rather than placing minions down so this card would normally see issues with that.  With "Forbidden Shaping" to give a perfect mana curve we could see a new meta of some more proactive priest decks though.  I think there's potential.
