It's always going to be the weakest one, it's a baseline for things to come. There is always a few outliers who are crazy strong, but most cards are weaker. They are impactful though early because there is limited cardpool, and later because it has synergy with broken cards down the path.
It's still the baseline for archetypes we will get in the next 2 years, so the cards will make an impact. Vilefin Inquisitor was garbage when released, now look at it now. Un'goro was pretty weak besides Quest Rogue. Elementals were pretty garbage and as soon as we got better cards to replace them nobody was playing elementals for their synergy.
Quests were mostly weak/useless, but still to this day there is people going on tournaments playing Jungle Giants druid. C'thun was good when Old gods was released. Then nobody played it for along time. It still sees plays now and then on tournaments, but most of the old gods stopped seeing play as other decks showed up. Only later they got better decks that wanted them back on, after we got a bigger cardpool.
The start of every rotation is always weaker, and usually more frustrating because some old dominant deck or some really busted card ends up making all the other cards bad. See Jade Druid for example. Now it's cubelock. but that is the problem, not the rest of the set
No that's just flat out wrong with a dose of revisionism.
God, the game is free. It cost you literally nothing to download. Nothing, nada. How can you complain something you get free isn't good enough? If you dont like the cards, dont buy the packs. If you only like arena dont play standard. If you dont like the RNG, dont play the game.
And your point is? I'll tell you what it is, a total non sequitur. Besides I've spent plenty of money on Hearthstone and I want it to grow and improve so I'll keep "complaining" thank you very much!
Not at all. I hate all the underwhelming and uninteresting Legendaries. The halfassed odd or even cards concept. Not to mention the minions that swap stats while in hand.
I'd much rather see another barch of quests rather than the filler Legendaries. Overall I find the endless introduction of new gimmicks that's never fully developed or supported by further expansions a huge missed opportunity.
I'm aware of that, but unless we get some super counter to the cards in question people will just keep making variants of these decks.
Are you also aware of the fact that there is a thread dedicated to crying about these things already and despite that there are dozens of these threads posted weekly?
You posted your own anecdote and contributed nothing but spamming up the forun further. Well done.
I don't think it suffocates the meta, it sets the bar for power level in Standard. If you're not doing something faster or more powerful or that can reliably answer every threat then what you're doing isn't good enough for constructed. Cubelock's core cards were pretty much delivered as a package from Team 5, they knew it would be strong, same as they knew CtA and Spiteful Summoner would be strong. I like that my epics and legendaries are strong and can be played in Standard and Wild and would rather spend my dust on overpowered cards than fair cards.
Lol, what a dumbass. “I want overpowered cards, fair cards are stupid!” This is the mindset of the player base unfortunately
Lol, what a dumbass. "My view on card balance and powerlevels is the only way of seeing this totally arbitrary thing!"
This is the mindset of people posting here unfortunately.
What do you mean source? How do you post a source for them not posting any info on possible nerfs yet? The mind boggles. As for the HoF cards it's been reported and discussed enough to be called common knowledge by now.
Not everyone dumps their wallet into the game so that they get the complete set of all of the fotm cards. It's so pay-to-win, so any new card is absolutely broken for anyone that can't afford to get it.
Every new addition of cards is just power creep
You bumped a thread from February to post that? Please just leave and don't come back.

If you picked anything besides Undertaker you haven't played HS long enough.

If you can't see the issues had this been a druid card kindly delete HS and never look back.

No. Enough with the stupid nerf threads...

If you can't see that this card is broken you really should stop wasting time thinking about balance and card design for HS.
