posted a message on New Paladin Legendary Card Revealed - Turalyon

Galakrond decks usually run Shield of Galakrond and those decks always run Kronx which can get you an 8/8 taunt. Highlander decks run Bone Wraith and Khartut Defender  and Siamat. Plus Overconfident Orc and Rusteel Raider if they're really slow. And Bonechewer Brawler can be found in aggressive decks.

Although they're not that popular Paladin has Aldor Truthseeker and Libram of Hope which is taunt AND divine shield in one. Druid has Ironbark and Emerald Explorer. Exotic Mountseller has a good chance to summon a taunt too. Warlock has Abyssal Summoner and Aranasi Broodmother

And let's not forget any deck that has Lackeys can make any minion into a taunt.

So that leaves... Face Hunter, Murloc Paladin, Spell Mage and Enrage Warrior I guess? Bomb Warrior too I suppose though Bomb Warrior can still RNG up some.

Priest mains just wait for these threads to pop up I swear. But for real what’s the point of 30 minute games.. no fun

It's to show how much skill they have. Everyone knows if you play a "Control" deck you must be a 300 IQ apex human being who is perfect in all things. Everyone knows Control decks are slow. So therefore, the longer the game lasts the more of a genius they must be.

And before you point out that generating infinite value isn't the same as proper Control decks? Shut up you mentally deficient aggro-loving subhuman piece of trash.

No point in creating a new thread when you've got one with 50 posts open on the exact same subject

No point in responding in a thread when you have nothing to add.

posted a message on Serious question on randomness

Blizzard should just tone down or restrict the "generated by' bullshit. Players are clearly not enjoying it as much as Blizzard thinks we should. It's the massive card generation that gives players the notion that something sketchy is going on. Discover as a mechanic is completely over-used and under-statted.

The thing with dice roll mechanics in a digital game is that one side WILL find the results to be bullshit. If you roll high your opponent finds it bullshit. If you roll low then YOU find it bullshit. If you pay a mana cost or other restriction for the flexibility then fine, but right now it's under-statted to the point where classes are just doing it at no cost, passively.

If it means early another HOF for a bunch of cards, so be it.

Blizzard needs to bring back actual limitations in classes.

posted a message on Legend doesn't feel that Legendary

It's less time-consuming of a grind so it's more accessible. And there's actually a reason to get to Legend now with the new rewards. Most people stopped at R5 before for the Golden Epic. Even if they could get to Legend what's the point in spending all that time grinding against other netdecks for hours and hours just for a card you don't care about? Starting from R10 it was mostly netdecks anyways.

Getting to R5 to Legend was never about difficulty or challenge. It's mainly just how much time out of your life you dedicated to it. In my opinion it wasn't so much that people can't but rather because they don't want to. Because there's no point. No one cares about an extra Golden Rare when you need to spend hours just for one.

Now they made it so you need less time and actually give a (slightly) better reward so more people are trying. Check again next month when everyone already has their free Legendary. Probably still more people than before but less than this month.

posted a message on Flaw in new ladder system

So instead of playing normally with equal ranked players you will give and get auto-concede wins to equally ranked players to rank up more quickly so you can play normally with equal ranked players?

If hitting the rewards is all that mattered wouldn't it be easier to just torpedo your MMR at a rank floor and wait until the last week of the season to ladder?

Or you can just play it normally. Hearthstone is a super casual game anyway.

posted a message on winning res priest

Resurrect as a mechanic is a terrible terrible idea. They make a game about resource management with mana and card limits then has a mechanic that circumvents BOTH. Anything that ignores resource management is powerful. The Discover mechanic is guilty of the same thing. Resurrect is like Discover where you can guarantee the cards you pick from though, that's why it feels like complete bullshit to play against. That's why mana costs are the go-to way to Blizzard balances cards.

The real kicker though? It's not even a GREAT deck. It just has really polarizing match-ups. Do you have a transform effect? Great, you're probably going to beat the Priest. Do you have a way to mess up their res pool? Hope you get lucky. Don't have a transform effect? Too bad, they better draw poorly or you're going to waste the next 15 minutes of your life thinking you can out-damage their heals and wall of taunts.
