Reno freeze mage is, at least IMO, the exception to the rule. They are still running crap tons of doubles and are not trying to pull highlander crap like the other decks. Freeze can do that because of all the stall and draw. Other archetypes, except maybe warrior (which doesn't have the burst), do not have that luxury. In freeze mage he is an amazing card because you lose next to zero effectiveness to play him.

For Bran, he is a must kill card. Those types of cards are always strong, in any meta. Also, he is another card that can completely overwhelm a game if left alone and in his own right, isnt a terrible 3 drop.

Top 3 for me, in no particular order, are:

CW, aggro druid, and midrange hunter

posted a message on Why I am finally playing Shaman

I like battlecry shaman at the moment, but sorry OP, that list is really lacking.

BGH and owl are just wrong. Playing shaman you want to continually slam down sticky minions turn after turn, not get stuck with minions you can't play in your hand.

Also, shaman has arguably the best removal in the game in hex and the best silence in earth shock. Not playing those in a midrange / tempo deck just is incorrect.

I don't think the battlecry focused deck is quite there at the moment as bran is too slow in a deck like this, and while the rumbling elementals are good, they don't mix well with overload cards in general as you want to be spamming minions every turn.

I don't think Reno makes it into tournament decks just due to consistency issues with those style of decks, but it does knock face hunter off of everyone's "must be able to play/counter" list.

In the two weeks so far, Bran is looking like the new card to be included in most any deck and might even bring a few decks up.

Shaman is probably the biggest winner so far in these two weeks as they got a real deck that can be played at almost any level and is very dangerous to any control deck.

If you don't have either, CW for sure. The only reason being it doesn't have a hard counter, whereas freeze Mage does. Not only is freeze horrible against Druid, but if the deck ever becomes super popular, kezan is basically GG against them.

posted a message on Best card in game

There is already a super long thread about this, but the thing to consider with this kind of argument is the following question: what card would every deck play 2 of if they had access to it.

    Innervate.

    And it isn't even close.

posted a message on A new tournament mode

I love the idea of a tournament mode coming into HS, but I don't see it as being very practical for how it fits into the client and gereral online nature of the game. Typically a card tournament will last anywhere from 5-6 hours at a minimum to something around 3 days at a maximum.

Getting players to consisntly stick around for those games is going to be a bit of a challenge without a lobby or some kind of other area for players waiting to gather and chat. The fact that HS games don't have any time limit is going to severely limit tournament formats imo.

I do see them implementing something at some point, but I'm guessing it will more closely resemble constructed area, which will suck.

posted a message on Which Golden Legendary to craft?

    I dunn

i dunno about that, I've opened 8 golden legendarys, two of them were dups that I had already crafted.

As for the OP, I would stick with the general theme of the thread: craft the adventure ones first.

As someone who plays mostly golden decks, adventure cards should come first.

Warrior is heavily favored in the matchup if played correctly with both CW and patron. Both decks will wreck secret paladin consistently, probably just need to modify your play style.

Well, if the nerfs were reverted miracle would be a tier 1 deck almost instantly. So, anyone who voted oil never got to see miracle in action.

posted a message on Created power cards for every class, converted them from MTG

Time walk is the obvious choice here. However, my choice for most OP magic card was Fastbond. That card was absolutely stupid. Not sure how it would translate into HS though. Pay x life to add x mana crystals for 1 mana sounds like the proper text and would indeed be the most OP card in the game.

Dreadsteed deck almost always plays at least a single copy of bane of doom, I would guess it just slipped by you that he cast it previously.

posted a message on Are golden cards overrated?

Full golden decks are pretty cool, I have CW, dragon priest and freeze mage as complete golden decks. Overrated would depend on who is playing them I guess. I don't play them to get any attention from my opponents, I play them because I like the way that they look. If you are playing golden cards to get some reaction out of your opponent, you are doing it wrong.
