posted a message on Druid is a pretty frustrating class to play against revisited in 2016.

The problem with druid is the high rolling nature of the class. If you hit your curve and ramp, the game is pretty much an auto win. If you dont, auto loss. This type of interaction is fairly unhealthy for the game IMO, but I doubt it will change very much as all of the classes can claim similar win rates if they hit their perfect curve; the only difference for druid is that generally their perfect curve is far stronger than any other deck.

    1. Formats tend to have more or less "creativeness" support depending on the situation of the meta, a rotating format is the perfect environment to let creativity flow, but we're just in a transition to a real rotating system, so, sit tight.

This. Every TCG/CCG that has gone the route of rotations has seen a drastic drop in the amount of decks played. Simply put, there are fewer cards to occupy deck slots and less competition for each card at each mana.
Rest of the argument is invalid due to the above

Hunter legendary has won me a inch of games.

Twilight summoner into princess on 5 = game over.

posted a message on Halfway into WOG. What's your rating?

If Naxx was a 10/10, and GvG was a 1-2/10, this one is shaping up to be a 4-5/10. Some playable cards, but most of them are under-powered compared to vanilla cards. The effects are generally underwhelming, and there is a TON of RNG so far IMO. Too many cards that can win or lose you the game on the spot depending on the outcome.

posted a message on New Hunter Card - Call of the Wild

Umm... Wow, first card that we have seen that actually seems like it could create a realistic win condition from the set.

Also, this makes me believe that they are going change the text on tundra rhino as well. If you can keep it alive for a turn after you play it, and play this into it, seems good.

W/o death's bite, I see this only being played, as others have said- in reno decks, or in some new midrange variant possibly.

Seems extremely good in wild though

posted a message on Prediction: Which class will be on top after WOG Release?

They have not released anything even half-way good yet. Top decks that are close to standard decks already: elise warrior, miracle, reno lock, druid and a few aggro decks will remain on top. Midrange shaman may become viable, but if fatigue decks with tons of board clears are a thing, shaman will get dumpstered as well.

With more pirates, could be good, but seems to be the wrong class. This would be an amazing rogue card, probably class defining, on warrior though, its kinda meh.

With the current cards, this is a terrible card. It is a win more card, all of which are never played in the current meta. Maybe a few things will change in the new set, but I doubt it.

posted a message on Blizzard wants ideas for Tournament Mode. Let's get some.

Personally I would like to see two things happen:

    1. I would like blizz to release an app/game manager to allow tournaments to be setup more easily by individual people and / or game shops / online sites. As it stands right now, the game is awful for 3rd party organizers (which are the only organizers atm). Simply having an App or add on that would allow the tournament manager to see the bracket in real time and allow for automated matchmaking between clients connected though the app. This would be a HUGE step in the right direction and would allow for more tournaments to be created without the help of blizz and improve the scene tremendously.

    2. In game tournaments. The way I envision this going is as follows:

    - You enter a tournament mode, lets say best of 3 - with your 3 constructed decks. You play 6 rounds of best of 3, so 18 possible games in total. You can que for these like arena, with the only difference being that you commit to 3 games, if you leave during those three games, 2 wins will be allotted to your opponent.

-After your 6 rounds are over, if you win less than (arbitrary number incoming) 59% of your games, you are out of the tournament and win a prize based on the number of wins.

-After your 6 rounds are over, if you win 60% or more of your games you move into the winners bracket. In the winners bracket you commit to 6 possible games when you accept the challenge.

-When the challenge is accepted, you will be matched up with 3 other players that also won more than 60% of their games in the first round. Since this may not be an immediate challenge, you will enter a que that goes to the bottom left of your screen and notifies you when your tournament is ready at which point you will have 90 seconds to accept or decline. If you accept, you will auto concede whatever your current game is and move into deck selection where you will select 3 decks to use in the winners bracket.

-After decks are selected you will be matched up with your opponent. Then you enter into a best of 3 series with that opponent. Winner moves on and loser is out w/ the appropriate prize for their overall record.

-The winners of the two series will then matchup for a final showdown. This will work just like the challenge when moving into the initial winners bracket. You will get a message after you finish your first round that either reads "congratulations! you will now move into the final round, please wait while your opponent finishes his/her matches" OR "congratulations! you will now move into the final round, your opponent is waiting for you, entering que now"

-winners will then again enter deck selection, select 3 decks and be matched up for the final best of 3 series. Winner is the tournament winner (perhaps can enter a tournament winner tournament at the end of the month?) and loser gets prizes based on their overall w/l.

-At any time you can forfeit, if it is during a best of series or during a match, your opponent will be given the number of wins they need to move on in that round.

In my opinion this would be a close way to approximate a real tournament setting in a digital environment.

posted a message on Poll: Are you proud of being an Arena Killing Machine? Are you a true Gladiator? Which is your longest win streak in this mode?

It isn't a lie, but you can believe whatever you would like.

Also, players that average 5 wins are NOT good arena players. Better than bottom of the barrel I would guess, but not good.

posted a message on Poll: Are you proud of being an Arena Killing Machine? Are you a true Gladiator? Which is your longest win streak in this mode?

Recently started playing on Asia a few months ago on a new account on which I only play area.

Ran off 3 consecutive 12-0s before going 10-3 (lost the first game =/)

No idea if the new account has some bonus for match making against crappy opponents, but Asia arena is FAR easier than both NA and EU.

I'm a pretty solid arena player, and I average 7 wins on NA, but on Asia I am over 10 wins on average across 30 runs or so.

EDIT- After reading all the replies, I also remember that right before Naxx came out and they were offering those free arena runs to everyone, which had arena noobs trying it out for the first time, I ran off a bunch of wins a row. I can't remember the exact number though.

I think it's mostly because numerous bots have piloted the deck to legend. When a person can craft a deck and let a bot take them to legend it kind of shows the deck needs to be fixed

     Pretty much this.
The deck is so over powered and easy to play that if you are playing it, and you don't make legend, you are a terrible player.
Same argument comes up all the time. Two months ago I made a bet with a few friends that claimed it was not auto legend for all players to play this deck, so I played it from the start of the season and it only took 92 games to hit legend. Ridiculous indeed.

posted a message on Standard only makes sense as a business model

I have already stated this in other threads, but honestly the only move that will really piss me off is if they release cards with identical text (or for games sake, nearly identical), and do not allow us to use the cards we already have.

For example, if they release a neutral legendary with the following text:

    Cost 5

    5/5

Battle-cry: Your opponents spells cost (5) more on their next turn.

And do not let use use our loatheb, I'm done.

posted a message on Big hit for invested money (600 Euro plus)
    Quote from Stat1cVo1D >>

To make this clear for everyone:
"Wild" will become the new casual mode and will evolve to full-retard-trololol-mode over time:

    - Let's be honest: A lot of ppl play HS also for Epeen (me included). If standard is being propagated in official tournament and your profile shows only your standard rank, it is THE (ONLY) way to play the game.

    - Cards are going to be developed, balanced and revisioned with STANDARD mode in mind. They might (and at a certain point in time: WILL) be completely broken, if used with cards from older/banned expansions. While Wild might be also fun right after standard format starts, it will become utter BS after 2 additional expansions, in which no designer kept cards like Boom and Shredder in mind anymore.

So instead of treating HS as the digital game it is and keep it fresh with constant balance patches and revisions, they decided to go for full cash grab and going to treat it like a PHYSICAL CARD GAME, which it is OBVIOUSLY NOT.
When we asked in the past for constant balance patches, they said: "NOOO! We can't do that! Players would be very sad, if their beloved cards in which they invested so much time and money, became worse!"
And now THEY REMOVE THEM FROM THE FREAKIN GAME.
And yeah, for me and a lot of other players, those cards will cease to exist. I haven't played a single match in casual mode for more than a year. So I will not play "Wild" in the future, esp. because it will be broken as sh1t.

This is even more infuriating, if you keep in mind that they released only 2 Adventures and 2 Expansions and already remove HALF of their additional content from the game,...

And guess what they will do? They'll sell us new Antique Healbots, new Sludge Belchers and at a certain point a new Dr. Boom. Esp. cards like Healbot are irreplaceable and HAVE to exist. So they'll just rerelease 'em with a new picture and a new name. And you have to buy new packs and more packs and more packs,...

    Oh boy,...

     Pretty much this.
I'm fine with the mode change; I'm even okay w.o a full refund on my goldens, of which I have a shitton, but if they start re-releasing cards in a new set w/ identical text (or just slightly different so as to make us buy them again), I am done.
