I played for quite a while without putting in any money. If you are a decent card player you should get familiar with the rules of drafting quite easily. I suggest you watch some arena streams and read some guides, drafting should not come that hard.

Once you start getting decent results in arena you should be fine. It just takes a while.

    Lord Jaraxxus is anti-rush.

    Leeroy Jenkins definitely.

How is Jaraxxus anti rush? He costs 9 mana and does 3 damage the turn he come on the board, if they are rushing you and you play Jaraxxus, you are pretty much dead.

I don't mean to say he is not strong or anything, just don't seem to me like an anti-rush card

Leeroy or TBK. If not Alex, Jaraxxus would be my last choice since it's a Class legendary.

I don't see this as being overpowered. It can be annoying to play against, and deadly if you don't know how to play against it properly, but still not overpowered. Last MG tournament also wasn't won by mages, although they were present in the top 4, but the top places were rogue and druid respectively. So that's a good indication that mage is not overpowered as it is.

I am not talking about the class, just about the card. One card does not make a class OP, but they surely are strong.

Ice block only wins games where the Mage was actually kicking your butt most of the game.
Just because you couldnt deal with his threats early on and he dealt enough damage that Ice Block can have an impact by giving him time to deal the last 10ish damage. Otherwise Ice Block just delays the inevitable.

That's not true, Ice Block gives you the option to ignore the board, even if you are loosing. It gives you the option to get another turn for 3 mana. That means you buy yourself 10 mana (or whatever the mana is the turn after you cast Ice Block) only paying three the turn before, not even limiting your options too much in that same turn (as with 7 mana you can still pay 4 and fireball for 6 damage). This makes you able to deal an additional ~10 damage which you could not have done. That is why is OP.

Any Magic player should understand how this card is OP the same as Time Walk.

I like how there is a separate thread on each spell that is at least sub par. Whining is not the way out people, finding out how to be better and make a better deck is a key to success. Why would you enjoy a game where you just faceroll all the enemies with little to none effort. That is not what a good game should be about.

What about whining about people whining?

Anyway Ice Block is broken and I'd remove it. It's a Time Walk from magic, and we all know how that works. It's just an imbalanced card that buys you a turn. Maybe making it cost 5 mana would make things better. Atleast you can't IB -> Fireball -> Frostball or this kind of things.

Harrison is a good side deck card, honestly i would keep it unless you lack the fundamentals card to play. In that case he is not so great and you should prioritize having stable and decent decks instead of a good side card.

posted a message on Can't decide between EU and US

No problem, don't think I haven't considered that as an option :P It's actually the reason why I started watching quite a few streams, in order to find out what I was doing wrong and to improve myself. But I really think I'm not playing worse than most of the streamers. Not atm at least. I'm highly ranked in EU, while only having 4 legendaries in Total and missing quite a few cards outside of legendaries, and I learned a lot from watching top streamers. So I was probably just bad for quite a while, but now that I play well, I still just can't get lucky enough to get a good run.

Here is an example. Playing with mage deck with 0 spells outside of 1 Flamestrike. I get 3 - 2, then play a Priest. Priest uses Thoughtsteal 2x. In late game he's at pretty low hp and I have 4 minions out. Guess what happens? Flamestrike. HOWEVER! I Counterspell it. Guess what happens next turn?

Another Flamestrike. Priest stole 2 Flamestrikes, when I had only 1 in the deck and never drew it. Tell me, how do you fight that? And something like that seems to happens like all the time in my experience, its not even funny. Many opponents I face just get perfect draws and have an answer to everything in their hand at all times. I saw Streamers run into such people too, and they also lose easily. It's just that I see to meet them more often >.<

I dunno man, sometimes you just get bad luck, and that's normal, but it should average out at some point. Maybe you are just good in constructed but make bad picks in arena? Honestly i don't know, but i'm not that good of a player, but before i stopped doing arena i was getting 5+ consistently, then constructed started and arena really bore me, but still the few times i went in i did ~7. Ofc sometimes it goes bad, or you draft a shitty deck but I assure you that getting 5+ is not that hard.

Anyway as for the topic, IF arena is harder in EU, and i'm not sure it is, then stay here, you will get better facing better opponents.

Yeah I play Arena sporadically (when I get gold), so I don't claim to be any kind of Arena pro; but I'm kinda stumped I didn't get more than 5 wins in like 20 tries total. And I know how to play and draft good decks (within the RNG you get offered, ofc), I understand value, tempo, resources etc. But no matter what I do, something seems to screw me over. Mostly I just get bad decks (Mage deck with 1 Flamestrike as the only damaging spell), Rogue with 0 backstab/ eviscerate, Warrior with 1 weapon, etc.

Then I get a good deck every 10th run on Average, and I still only reach 5 wins as I either run into counter-classes 5 games in a row, and/or people having even better decks and outdrawing me, especially in early game. As we know, early game is king and if I don't get a good start, it's basically over in most cases.

Then I watch some US streams, and they just roflstomp through opponents like they're nothing, even with average decks. How? I didn't watch that many Arena streams, but it just seems different. I *should* have ran into a good luck streak within 20 runs -.- At least to 7 wins or something. In EU it just doesn't seem possible sometimes.

Also my fav streamer who pwns US Arena and is Legend rank got 1-3 in his first EU Arena. I know 1 example isnt too relevant, but still, when you combine it with all of the above..

I have no idea how the Arena in US is, but what you are saying is simply that you are bad but you don't see it. Don't make excuses like "Arena is harder in EU so i get only to 5 wins". Evidently you have a lot to improve as getting consistently 5+ is not hard if you are a good player. Also, combining "all of the above" really says nothing.

Sorry if i bashed on you, but if you don't get more then 5 in 20 games then is better if someone tells you you are not that good.

posted a message on sprucing up my druid deck

Well in the end is personal, and honestly i don't play too much druid because i don't have all the cards to play it at a high level. What i know is that every druid i see (and trust me, i see a ton) run atleast 1x claw and most of the time 2x. Also i think is a fantastic card for early game removal and combining it with hero power makes it so that it does not loose too much value over the first 4/5 turns. As for mark of nature, yeah it can save you or let you close, but normally is a 1 for 1, which does not make it a really strong card. if you notice most of the strong decks don't play buffing cards beside Cold Blood or Power Overwhelming, but those are finishers.

My advice is to start by replacing it, do 10/20 games and feel how it is. If it does not feel good just put Mark back again.

Novice Engineer is better then Loot Hoarder, replace Raid Leader with a second Harvest Golem. You clould replace 2x Mark of Nature for 2x Claw.

it will almost never happen cos most people know the card sucks and wont play it and the fact you can actually use it to kill an enemy jaraxxus is about 0.1%. Stop making this into something which its not. You got owned yb it once, deal with it.  Repentance does pretty much the same. and Snipe also immediately takes away 4 hp

As i said, I agree it will never happen (it never did to me atleast). I'm just saying the mechanic feels flawed. Repentance and Snipe work because Lord Jaraxxus becoming hero is a battlecry so they proc before the minion becomes hero. Honestly i think Sacrificial Pact was not made with this in mind since Lord Jaraxxus is the only "demon" hero. Probably should have been "Destroy a demon minion". Also Jaraxxus can't be targeted by things that affects minion like Shadowbolt, so the design was probably different. Just weird interactions.

Anyway this is pointless, Sacrificial Pact sucks and that's it. No one is playing it anwyay.
