2. The Battlecry takes place before board buffs. So there is no synergie with Leokk.
edit: apperently it does :D Feels strange tho

Bomberguy523 posted a message on What decks are considered "cancer"? (other than Jade)Posted in: General DiscussionPeople call stuff cancer generally when they feel powerless against the deck they are facing and lose in a frustrating fashion. The decks are also seen as less skillful to play. That's why the best face deck will always be cancer, and in this case its pirate warrior. I generally categorize it into three types of cancer decks: only face decks (ex. Hunter) , play good minions on curve until you win decks (ex. secret paladin/mid shaman), or stall until combo decks (ex. miracle/freeze).
However, cancer doesn't necessarily mean a deck is good, it just means it is frustrating. Two out of the 3 biggest new archetypes happen to be very frustrating to lose to (jade druid combo face warrior) leading to salt. The deck being good does make things worse however, as people see it more often and lose to it more often.
I do agree that jade druid is cancer for a different reason however, because a lot of them are designed to have a 90% win rate against control and sub 40% against aggro, which isn't very beneficial for control players... Once the deck becomes more optimized for general laddering it will likely weaken against control, and control will improve making the matchup possible.

Moop547 posted a message on Shadow RagerPosted in: Shadow RagerNo idea why people think this card is so bad. It's actually a REALLY good arena card because it makes your opponent's turn 4 and 5 ridiculously awkward and can force inefficient use from a board clear to remove. It's very similar to Patient Assassin, however the difference is that this can go face.
(people use Worgen Infiltrators in normal face rogue. I would run this card in face rogue. It's arguably 3 mana deal 5 face damage and force a reaction.
There's also some synergy here with the new give stealth +2 +2 guy, which you can play on curve to make him a whopping 7 3 stealth for 3 mana. Ravenhold Assassin is a 7 5 with stealth for SEVEN mana. And to the people that think that swipe is good vs shadow rager, if my opponent spent his turn 4 solely killing my 3 drop, and used a very important removal card doing so, I would be happy. That goes for all of the other board clears that kill it too.
Tl;dr: This card isn't the BEST or OP OP, but this is a pretty decent card, and a great arena card.

HenryXLII posted a message on Shadow RagerPosted in: Shadow RagerPeople are treating the "Meta Defining" votes like they are a joke. But I think this card is legitimately meta defining.
It defines a meta that is lacking in Rogues...

iamdannywu posted a message on Jai/Coexist Pirate Warrior - Mean Streets of GadgetzanPosted in: Jai/Coexist Pirate Warrior - Mean Streets of GadgetzanAs someone who plays pirate warrior and even hit legend with it before, I would suggest a few changes.
Hobart Grapplehammer doesn't make the cut.
- This deck have four possible weapons that can be in hand. upgrade and first mate doesn't count and wont' get the buff. That's a small collection of weapons. No one really keeps arcanite reaper in starting mulligan and I won't advise you to do so even if you have both Hobart and Reaper in mulligan. Reaper will be a dead card in your hand for too many turns and by that point, swinging for 6 will be to remove minions and won't go face because you'll be behind on board.
- Even if you have war axe, would you play Hobart instead of war axe on turn 2? Only if your opponent doesn't play any minions on board on turn 2. But that doesn't happen often and if that does happen, you're already winning and/or you're playing against a control deck. War axe is usually used to clear early minions so you can control board and your minions can continue to hit opponent's face for repeated damage. The majority of time, the one damage doesn't make much of a difference. Playing hobart on turn 2, waraxe on turn 3 leaks one additional mana and doesn't play on curve. If Hobart buff is +1+1 then it's a much better card and will see play. I would even put in king's defender (3 mana 3/2 weapon) in the deck to have a better chance of getting the buff.I would also cut one upgrade. There's too many situational cards and clogging your starting mulligan with a bunch of situational cards are bad. For example, upgrades, mortal strikes, heroic strikes, hobart, bloodsail cultists. Also upgrades are a horrible top deck along with first mate. You can minimize this by having less of them. You don't really need a second upgrade as I have cut one from my list a while ago when i found it's situational card and even upgrading a first mate's weapon is bad in most match ups except for zoo and swarm like decks. What makes it awkward, is having first mate and war axe. One upgrade and two bloodsail cultists should be enough for weapon buff unless there's another way to buff using a minion. Captain greenskin is too slow and doesn't make the cut.
My changes would be - Hobart, -1 upgrade.
I would experiment with southsea Captain when the expansion hits. It's a forgotten card but now with more early pirates with Patches and the new buccaneer, it might be viable. You're more likely to have a pirate on board when you play the Captain on turn 3.
These are my thoughts, hope it makes sense.
Edit* - Just noticed there's no dread corsairs!!! What?? It's such a good tempo card when you have a weapon. Playing it for 1 with war axe or free with reaper is amazing.
Put both of them in and cut one mortal strike and one horserider. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Sometimes you just have bad luck man. Not much I can say other than give it more time. I can't give any specifics unless you describe your situation specifically. Look at your replays, see what may have gone wrong, and try to predict what your opponent will have

If you are facing a taunt heavy meta, then hunter's mark can be a good choice. I'd cut a horserider or maybe unleash the hounds instead of tracking, however.

Sweet! Keep at it.

That's still a 60% winrate :)

Haha you're probably better at this deck than I am. Nice job man, glad to see you having success with it!

C'thun warrior is more difficult than control warrior specifically because of Ancient Shieldbearer (which they always seem to have 2 of in the first half of their deck). They do have fewer removal tools than control warrior typically because of added c'thun cultists that take up slots, and many run only 1 brawl, so don't be super afraid of it and keep pushing aggression the best you can. Hope that helps!

That's what I love to see! Keep it up.
3
So happy you're having so much success with the deck!

I personally wouldn't do the tavern brawl because the average rewards (3 wins) are way worse than 1000 gold worth of packs.

Cloaked huntress is the most important card in the deck. Without it, it's better just to play midrange hunter.
