posted a message on Ben Brode: "We might rotate cards out of Classic"

It appears as though a majority of players would prefer that cards be rotated into Wild format, which is also agree with. However, one thing that I feel many players would miss is being able to play their favorite archetype at all. Just because a deck can only be played in wild does not mean that it will be remotely viable there. A prime example of this is Miracle Rogue, a deck I really enjoy playing. Most players are talking about Gadgetzan Auctioneer being a prime target for rotation because virtually the only competitive Rogue decks for awhile have been Miracle Rogue, making the class pretty stale. However, the deck is not particularly good in wild, so it would be hard to play successfully there, effectively killing the deck.

I believe that the best solution is to rotate classic cards in and out of Standard for this reason. That way, each class will have different archetypes from time to time, but will also have the chance to play old decks with all new cards in a standard cycle years down the road, which would be really cool. This way our classic cards still have indefinite value and will never be worthless to a standard player, but will be useful intermittently so that the meta is never too stale.

Tier has nothing to do with how many people play it, only with how powerful the deck can be when played correctly against the meta.

Pirate Warrior. Sometimes you actually have to choose which card to go face with.

Some gimmicky decks just crush this deck for some reason, and at rank 20 there are plenty of those, so I see what you might mean.

Hunter's mark is more conventional in face hunter because of the low cost, so I would play that if you are facing a lot of big taunts.

No problem man. Beating a Shaman takes a very fine balance between board control and face damage, so don't get discouraged if you lose to them at first. Practice should help with that.

The only immediate drawback I see about this card is that it does not curve smoothly into turn 3 after a turn 2 wild growth. You could just wait until turn 5 to play this with wrath or something, however. Even turn 3 with living roots would be ok.
