This is a quest you throw in not caring or expecting to finish.  This you just want the in between effects, but if you finish the whole quest it's just a bonus

This community is an embarrassment.  I've read some of the most ignorant comments on this subject imaginable, it's what I've come to expect from y'all but this took it to another level.  Card reveals > people's lives -Hearthpwn community.

Accusations are not proof, just because things are alleged to have happened does not mean they did.  The fact that the state is taking the case and not some lawyer looking for a fat payout is weird, could very well mean the case is weak.  But until the court has ruled on the matter, these actions are nonsensical.  Not to mention they don't even accomplish their apparent goal.

If you want to deny the accusations in their totality, go for it.  That's the kind of "logic" I expect from this morally bankrupt community.  You're not paying attention to reality buds, just your own biases.

Innocent until proven guilty is the law.  If you think trial by emotional knee jerk reactions is good I urge you to study puritan trials and let me know how fair you think those were.  Spare me your moral high ground nonsense, this is the real world, and in the real world the presumption of innocence is what separates us from the people who burned "witches" at the stake.

You have to also understand this is coming from California which as I recall has required all companies to have a woman on their board, regardless of qualifications.  Which is outright stupid.

This is a lie, qualifications are required to be employed in a board of publicly traded companies this is not aimed at middle class business that have under 50 employees.

Uhhhh that's not what I said.  The law states they must have a woman on the board.  It assumes that if they didn't have one already it's because they're filthy sexists, not that there wasn't a woman qualified for the job, ergo it's potentially forcing companies to put a woman on the board, even if she's not qualified.  It's not complicated.   The law is downright stupid and does nothing to actually help woman.  It's just more stupid "feel good woke virtue signaling legislation."

    https://outof.cards/hearthstone/3401-activision-blizzard-is-being-sued-by-the-state-of-california-over-sexual-harassment

Video game giant Activision Blizzard Inc., maker of games including World of Warcraft and Diablo, fosters a “frat boy” culture in which female employees are subjected to constant sexual harassment, unequal pay, and retaliation, according to a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

A two-year investigation by the state agency found that the company discriminated against female employees in terms and conditions of employment, including compensation, assignment, promotion, and termination. Company leadership consistently failed to take steps to prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, the agency said.

I agree and support Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy. Your comments?

Now if this is all actually happening, yeah I hope they lose the lawsuit.  But without seeing evidence I can't take a side, especially not these days where people REEEEEE about "man spreading" and call it rape.

Personally I think it was dumb to cancel the card reveal if their objective was to actually use their platform.  They could have used the reveal to highlight the alleged issue.  To me this just seems kinda half-assed.  Like they kinda want to say something but also not burn that blizzard bridge.

Why not do the card reveal AND bring attention to this.  Seems like a missed opportunity.  Doesn't make sense to punish the fans and pass up a chance to get more eyes on the potential issue.

According to some reddit posts it's because of the law suit against Activision-Blizzard. The streamers are making a statement by not revealing their cards.

Ah yes, punish the fans to spite the business, makes sense 🙄

posted a message on Legend has become to easy to hit

    Quote from Aegis24 >>

Legend is only easy to hit if you devote a lot of time to the game.  With the way the bonus star system works you have to play a lot every month or your bonus stars disappear.  I found that out the hard way

Easy is relative, but I don't know that you necessarily have to devote a lot of time to hit it with relative ease. Initially sure, you have to learn how to play and get good with whatever archetype you've chosen to focus on, but once you are good enough and dedicate enough time to hit high legend and you do things become significantly easier. This is primarily bc of the 11 star bonus, which just makes the grind so much less difficult after you hit Diamond 5. So far as I understand it this is not affected by how many games you play each month, or at least this hasn't been the case for me. If you play a relatively small number of games to high legend with a good WR and barely play for the rest of the month, you're still getting that 11 star bonus so long as you remain in the higher ranks (and sometimes even if you don't if your overall mmr is high enough). With that said I definitely am not attempting to trivialize the process of getting good enough or putting in the time/effort to reach this point. I just don't think that attaining legend is nearly as difficult once you have the 11 star bonus.  Granted I'm referring to a pretty small proportion of the player base, but I still think it's worth pointing out that legend can be much easier to hit than it was in the old days.

As I recall the 11 star bonus is purely for… top 1000 legend?  Correct me if I’m wrong here.  When the new ranking system came out I started with 8 bonus stars.  I never really devoted the time under the old system, I think rank 3 was as high as I ever got.  I was exited for the new system, but the meta was just so damn boring for me so I couldn’t focus, playing just wasn’t fun.  Fast forward to last month I found myself down to 4 bonus stars.  I found a deck I really enjoy right now so I’ve climbed up a bit, as it stands right now I should have 6 stars at the end of the month but I’m hoping to get back up to Diamond 10 and get back to 8 stars.  So while you’re right it’s not so bad with 11 bonus stars, getting to that point is quite a bit of work and effort and possibly a multi month endeavor depending on your play time.

posted a message on Weird nerfs

The renew nerf is fantastic.  Now it can’t be generated by wandmaster and its more expensive to use.  The apotheosis nerf didn’t really do anything I feel except make samuro a little less of a Reno.  They should have changed it to grant lifesteal on your turn.  Would have kept the card powerful but not an auto win vs some decks.  The gibberling nerf is whatever.  The card is far from dead.  They just can’t play it on turn 1.  Everything they could do on turn 1 now is moved to turn 2.  Technically they can still blow up turn 1 they’ll just need to be a little more lucky and have one less gibberling.

posted a message on Why is spell mage so popular on ladder?
    Quote from fjl93 >>

The answer is your MMR I think. You’re probably with a win rate similar to the one that deck has. And also it’s fun, even if it’s not fun for you… I believe the amount of players playing it talks by itself.

Hearthstone players Largely flock to meta decks.  Popularity has a much bigger correlation to strength than fun.  This is ladder we’re talking about.

    Quote from I_Feel_Ur_Pain >>

I played it when it was bad I played it when it was good I played after nerf . The only other decks are freeze mage which is way worse and spell power mage. Which are about same tier or worse for mage.

I tried to like it but the game play is so stale and it gets stale fast.  People keep saying random is fun but considering how fed up everyone is with priest I’m gonna say random isn’t fun.

What's cringe is your lack of contextual awareness.  I'm put the last part in so this didn't get filed away as a salt thread.  If I hadn't people would have spammed me with "lulz git gud nub"

People don't typically play "fun" decks on ladder.  As a mage main I find the deck detestable and I hate that it has become the identity of the class.  When you relegate a deck to RNG clown fiesta nonsense you relinquish some level of control as to the outcome of your game which is why I hate the deck but also why it confuses me that it's so popular.  It only performs well against 1 class and there's better things to play that are both fun and more well rounded.  The deck itself is one dimensional in that there's almost no difference from one spell mage deck to another outside of including deck of lunacy or not.  Some people find the deck fun, I think it's boring, and giving up control of the outcome of the game to hearthstone RNG is just boring.

Ps: I’m not a try hard, I’m not even running a meta deck right now.  I can’t imagine how someone could think they’re original or “playing for fun” by just playing the same deck everyone else is playing.
