That is exacly what is come up this night. Last time me nad heartpwn;s tagpals sprayed guides like lolipopps up until last summer. This one is coming too, thx for replaying.

Y'all keep in mind how cheap this deck is and on professional scene can some1 will get this up to 82% winrate. Iam having probles with uploading videos and its almost New Years and nobody responds on private msg ;p;p

I believe the patch that rigged the whole game was purposefuly set live around the Alien Probe day. 

There is no new player experience. There is only hell. I cannot grasp how and why a new person would come to this game.

This post may give me like 10 penalty points (which is worst than german sanctions put on russia) or maybe ban - I don't care. We don't like politics in games. But this thing, I belive goes far beyond being a democrat or republican, pro-life or abortionist, traditionalist or LBGQT enthusiast. It's about pure evil that shakes this world nowadays. But to the point:

Vladimir Putin is lying to you. What you see in your TV is pure propaganda. Russia invaded Ukraine - there are no fasist or nazist in this country. It was only a pretext to start the war. It's not a "special operation" or "freedom mission".

Your troops are dying in thousands (around 12000 deaths at the moment of writing this post). They're short on food and fuel. And your soldiers commit terrible warcrimes:

1. They're bombing/shelling residential areas, hospitals and schools. Today they bombed children hospital in Mariupol and it's not the only one. Hospital stuff, mothers and newborn babies died.

2. They're killling civilians and children. They're bombing and they are puting mines in humanitarian corridors. There are pictures of a whole family killed on the streets. Pictures of parents crying above their 11 months old son's body. Film of russian tank destroying a civilan car with elder couple in it. A recorded phone call of a soldier calling his girlfriend and telling her how he stole a tv-set and kitchen blender and how he  and his squad killed a group of unarmed civilans. In a forest with bags on their heads.

3. Your soldiers are plundering shops and homes. They are raping women. In Cherson they raped 11 women , 6 of them died. The youngest was 17 years old.

Because of the sanctions put on your country Russia will be bancrupt till May. Please open your eyes.

• Handbuff Paladin plays like midrange. (Battlemaster certainly makes it capable of OTK damage, but it can win without that.)
• Quest Shaman is a control deck. It may get bursty at the end, but it does not usually take you from 30 to 0 in a single turn.
• Rush Warrior is midrange.
• Quest Warrior is midrange.
• Quest Mage, which isn't even a top deck but is one everyone likes to complain about, is arguably a control deck. It is designed to keep the board clear and deals a big burst at the end, but not usually 30 in a single turn unless you let the game go on forever. That's not so different from the way control has always played -- inevitability is a hallmark of control archetypes.
• Some Warlock decks, with their massive healing and heavy removal, are control. The ones people hate most are combo, for sure, but there are viable Warlock decks that do not use combos or OTK.

I think a big part of the problem is one of terminology. People don't really understand the difference between OTK combo and the inevitability of control.

Control now has real win conditions, and it reaches them faster. That can feel like an OTK, but it's usually not even technically a combo. And hey, guess what -- in control vs. control, the winner is the one that reaches its win condition first. That's why really slow control decks are having trouble these days. They still lose to real combo decks, and now they also lose to faster control decks.

 You are simple wrong here, yes an ideal combo aims to kill your opponent in one turn, however any deck that is not capable of doing so is not automaticly not a combo deck. The "combo deck" term has been established long before hearthstone has even been a thing (and combo doesn ot mean anything different in hearthstone)

Combo deck is a term for a deck of (usually sixty) Magic: The Gathering cards that aims to win the game using a relatively small number of cards that instantly or very quickly win the game when combined (hence the name "combo").^[1] Because of this win strategy, a common motif among combo decks is an emphasis put on the ability to find specific cards quickly and win as fast as possible.

Almost all current quest decks are by definition combo decks, it only happens so that you start with one piece of the combo in your starting hand. The difference between a control and a combo deck usually comes in the form of value, a typical control deck aims to play the "null game". Answer everything your opponent does until you reach a point in the game where you can start dropping your own threats, which in contrast to combo decks dont just end the game the moment the card is played or even the turn after, Rattlegore is a perfect example of this.

I think the problem was that the puzzles were made for hardcore puzzle entusiasts. I like puzzles, I really enjoyed the Boom labs ones, I did most of them by myself, I think I looked like 2 or 3 and it was only like the first part of them and then worked the rest out. But these ones weren't enjoyable. The warrior one was fun, it's pretty much like a river crossing puzzle but then all the rest felt miserable. I don't even understand what I'm doing on the rogue one, I know I have to set all the cubes to 4 attack but I don't know why, to me the attack changes feel arbitrary but I'm guessing it's some sort of math thingy but again, that's not enjoyable.

Then the druid one felt miserable and I even had the guide to do it lol. This one you can 100% brute force it, if you make a map (like the people that discovered it did). You just make your little map and you start trying shit but even then it probably took them a long time and that feels frustating. And then the behemot itself... The hunter one was just the most terrible chore ever, even with a guide yet again. I don't even fully understand what's the point of it. I think it's to sell all the required products to the minions on your side of the board, but I'm not 100% sure. It was also insanely long, even with the guide I was stuck for like 15 minutes with that puzzle. 

I think the biggest problem is that the puzzles simply don't use Hearthstone mechanics and that kills them for the majority of the playerbase. I wished it was more like boom labs. Just make it a really hard puzzle that uses stuff that people playing hearthstone are familiar with, it makes sense, it is relatable and it could've been fun. But honestly past the warrior one I had no clue what I was doing. There were no actual clues, no instruction, literally everything just says ???. That killed it for me. After watching a video telling me the cards I had to play for the warrior one I did that one by myself and actually enjoyed it. But after staring for 20 minutes to the rogue one and doing arbitrary shit I just gave up and looked for the solution. Did the same thing for the other 2 cause on the solution doc that I found it said that the druid and hunter one were even more unreasonably difficult.

I'm not fussed about card backs in the slightest but was intrigued by the idea of this challenge. Having seen the solution to the first one, I'm just not going to bother. I don't see the point in watching a video and copying the steps, it's like using an infinite ammo cheat to me and looking at the solution, it seems like it's obnoxiously finicky for the sake of being a 'hard challenge'.

Glad for people who have enjoyed it, just not my bag at all and seems like you aren't going to crack it through simply problem solving. I don't even know how the first solution was discovered without some sort of software or something, that to me isn't a fun 'challenge'. 

Actually, it was pretty nice and I enjoy it until the hunter puzzle.

   This is not a salt thread, just an opinion piece.   I have made a bunch of sweet decks, that do really well and win alot. Then Galakrond Shaman comes, and just needs 1 broken turn to completely win the game. Its frustrating because of how many people are playing it right now, and how easy the deck is to pilot.

    I will continue to play of course, and continue to experiment with deck building, (I have only played around with Paladin,Warrior, and Druid so far) so there are tons of ideas left to explore.

     This is why I hope the nerfs to Shaman come sooner than later. If its not addressed soon, the meta will be so polarized, so quickly. I find that upsetting because I am a dedicated player who buys every pre-order every season, who looks forward to building and countering the meta. And Shaman has been at the front of the pack for far too long now.

    It amazes me how MANY PEOPLE  are already just playing Galakrond Shaman. Never mind all the new cards for other classes or archetypes, just give me that broken deck please. 

    Where is the challenge/competition when your supposed to win with your broken deck? I just find it a big turn off and feel discouraged from playing more often. 

    Galakrond Shaman currently has a 64% winrate across all Ranks!! Its worst matchup is 54% vs other Shamans!!  Like Kripp said yesterday, you LITERALLY CANT GO WRONG playing any Shaman deck right now. 

    I suggest for the nerfs that are hopefully coming soon, that they removing the Rush tag on Invoked elementals, and remove the double invoke from Corrupted Elementalist.  And make Mogu Fleshshaper 9 mana.  These changes should lower the overall winrate and balance the game out a bit more. 

     There are so many wonderful decks to explore and it would be nice to see more people experimenting with their ideas, rather than just copy paste one of the most OP decks around atm.
