Amalgam of the Deep omg this card is like literally in every single deck, I play Golakka Glutton to try to counter it however it is not enough, the card costs too high most of the times. We really need Hungry Crab in the core set to destroy those amalgams. Even Golakka Crawler would be fine.
Wouldn't mind it, but you being so hell-bent on countering amalgam, that's just ... Weird. Would've expected actual pirate hate, eating amalgam AFTER it discovered doesn't even accomplish that much, it's a 2mana 2-3 at that point.
They have a really bad habit of not including cards in the core set that might actually be used or have an impact in the given year, while including cards that will literally never see play because they do the same thing as another card in standard but worse.

the argument isnt that. there will always be a deck which will take most of the hate. The thing is when the first amalgam is introduced, I said that if amalgams become overwhemingly used, the crab population should rise up too to balance the natural selection :D And now, it is happening but now we just dont have the tech option to counter. The card was in the game for 7+ years and the one time it would be viable it is not available. thats just sad.

Very rarely does getting crabs sound like a good idea, but I was really hoping for Golakka Crawler in the core.
