Rastakhan's Rumble Run - A Hearthstone Single Player Experience
Rumble run is single player content in Hearthstone. It was added during the Rastakhan's Rumble expansion which released in December 2018.
- You start off each run a troll named Rikkar. You do not yet have an affiliation with a team (class).
- You choose your team by picking a shrine from a random selection of three.
- As you play through the mode and defeat the other teams, you will increase the size and power of yourself and deck.
- Successfully completing a Rumble Run will reward you with a special card back.
What You'll Find In This Guide
We've prepared the following, easy to access information for you.
- Information on each of the Rumble Run classes.
- All the different treasures, teammates, and card bundles you can obtain.
- All the bosses you will get a chance to fight. Decks pending additional investigation.
Rumble Run Class Information
Click on any of the images below to go to our dedicated pages for each of the classes featured in Rumble Run. You'll get to see an overview everything that class has to offer including shrines, decks, teammates, and card bundles.
Rumble Run Bosses
Each class is represented by a champion in Rumble Run. You, as Rikkar, must defeat all the enemy champions of other classes in order to be victorious. They all have normal hero powers for their classes so we have decided to not list them here.
- Their health increases the deeper in to your run they are - only the first boss you encounter will have 10 health!
- These heroes are all found in the collectible Rastakhan's Rumble set as legendary cards.

Rumble Run Card Bundles
An exhaustive listing all all of possible cards you can find in the bundles of cards presented at the completion of a boss. Don't go in to this deckbuilding challenge completely blind!
how is playing in constructed not a waste of time too? this whole is a waste of time. but its a game we enjoy playing. you are missingout if you only play for gold rewards. the Runble is fresh and new. tons of new cards to use and really fun decks to buid too.
i really encourage you to waste some of your time playing it. the rewards are in the journey, not the destination.
It's not a waste of time because you can make real money from it :)
FYI: When you play Rikklar the Warlock (Hir'eek's Hunger) and you match up with High Priest Thekal (Shrivalla's Vengeance totem) , they do infinite damage back and forth to each other until the one with the lowest health loses. LMAO. I don't know if they intend to fix this, but it's a pretty hilarious interaction.
try playing as Mage. Its pretty sweet. you can get some really good Hero Power interactions going. I cleared the boss as mage first try. Theres a teammate that upgrades your hero power and you draw it at the start of the game. thjen you have 0 man heropower that does 2 dmg.
From there you build your deck according to your style../.try to pick synergies and pay attention to your curve.
goodluck. dont give up. you will get the hanf of it!
Where’s the fun part?
If you think the concept is lazy, wait until you see the deep design of the constant board clears that some bosses will cast upon you.
Next expansion we’ll get Solo Adventure “roll a dice until you get a six for six times in a row - and you get a cardback”.
It might be that this rumble feels extremely unfair since it just had it's release, but my best attempt so far was 6 wins with a discardlock. I had plenty of discard stuff to pick, but ZERO (!) quests. I died vs the deathrattle priest which feels at least as unfair as the discardlock opponent (who always got the quest...).
I'm glad that we only need 1 win for the cardback; it's (still?) unfair and frustrating, but I still like it more than the boomsday puzzle challgenges.
Pretty low replayability if you ask me. Managed to get to the end on my 2nd try, but I don't really care about doing another run with a different class =/
I'm not going to compare it with the old adventures like Naxx or BR, but:
_ KotFT had the big and challenging boss fight with the Lich King with packs and hero skin Arthas as rewards;
_ K&C asked to finish the dungeon run with all the classes in order to get the card back;
_ WW had (IMO) more interesting mechanics with the four heroes and the final boss fight with Hagatha at the end;
_ BP had a loooooooot of puzzles, which meant a loooooooot of gameplay time.
I feel like Blizzard did a step back rather than a step forward with this.
Unstable Evolution is pretty fucking overpowered if you combine it with Krag'wa's Grace. Just got an OTK with Mana Addict on turn 4
No card pack. No play :)
People complained they felt like they were forced to PvE. So this time Blizzard gave out 6 packs at launch instead of 3 at launch and 3 with PvE quest.
My single complaint is the inability to pick your class. I wouldn’t even mind if my shrine was random. Feels like after I get most classes cleared it could lead to me starting, not seeing the class I want, insta-concede, and re-roll.
needs a way to retire the run faster. so i can actually play with the shrine i want. Or ya know, let us just pick it from the beginning.
The troll character we play as gotta have the best Well played emote i have ever heard.
It seems that every boss have a reaction to our emotes which is nice. Overall it seems decent so far i like it more than the puzzle one we had before.
P.S why are people so entlited? you just got a free optional content and if you play solo content just for rewards simply skip it
Agreed, the emote on his is pretty sweet. I gave it a couple shots but some of the OP crap bosses pull wasn't for me so I just bow out and try later. No reason to rage and complain.
isnt this a bit hard?
you can just concede if you face Hooktusk with the steal totem. totally unbalanced. i think blizzard really dropped the ball on this one... i was so excited tho...
Actually when you play this pve mode, you understand how fun hearthstone may be if, there aren't any limitation on creating cards. Every shrine + class feel so much more unique than the ranked decks. Unfortunately of course it is hard to balance it for ranked, but for pve I think that this is perfect example, how good and unique may be hearthstone. It reminds me for reason when I once liked this game and start to play it for the first time. A bit rng and a lot of fun.
Priest deck is total BS, Blizzard needs to nerf that garbage asap.
A little bit disappointing. After one run you have this card back, no story, suspense or surprises.
Old adventures like Naxx, Blackrock or Explorers had much more to offer.
