1. You do not have to play your Quest on turn 1. It might seem like the optimal way of spending your mana most often but not always.
2. Putting a card away thus losing mana, tempo and a card is the same as playing a secret. It doesn't do anything right now but you can maybe reap the reward later on.
3. You may recover in various ways:
3A. Built a deck with no 1-drops. You won't need them anyways so you will draw better cards than your opponent throughout the game.
3B. Complete the Quest and earn your reward. You are now highly favored to win.
But my argument is: With other decks you missed/don't run 1 drops, that actually save you a card, however with quest you would use one card. I think this situation is close to ramp druid when wild growth is used.
For example, that card you could save, lets say in a control deck,is it better than a 5 mana 8/8?or a ragnaros hero power?Cause in the end, quests are going to go off,and the rewards are amazing. You get my point right? :)
I think my problem is I faced too many pirate warriors in the current meta and every time I tried building new decks I have to keep pirates warriors in mind.
Maybe the correct question would be : 'Do you have time to recover (get the reward)?'
I answered that in my thread and will again now,as things look now aggro will be greatly hurt, and a week in the meta pirate warrior wont even exist with some great techs we can use.
The only aggro that might worry me is Murloc Shaman which aswell needs to play the quest so its even. And maybe a new Rogue aggro thing if it gets out of hand with some of the new cards.
And yes most of the times i believe you will be able to get rewarded. What should worry you is,are opponents going to get quests done faster than me?Or,are some midrange decks(ex-elemental decks)get out of hand very fast that i cant recover?

No, the card I save is to help me to survive and draw my win condition, while with quest decks you have 1 less tool to survive the aggro onslaught, not to mention the quest itself require a lot of cards (7 taunts, 6 random spells, 5 5-attack minions etc ) to achieve your goal.
You complete the quest gaining a bunch of tempo. Most of the time you skip turn 1 anyway unless you are an aggro deck so it is not too much of a big deal.
I supposed you play quest card on turn 1 as this is the whole point of the deck and you would like to complete it as soon as possible.
So now on turn 1 you have zero tempo and also 1 card down. How do you recover?
Depends on the class.
I would imagine in the same way now when you don't have a 1 drop in your opening hand. That said, I'm sure it depends on the deck.

That's a good point because no deck in the game has ever won passing turn 1.

Exactly my words in an easier way of understanding, thanks.
