Once again we are looking to increase the size of the moderation team, and have opened up moderator applications! Applications are open for several forums and we're currently looking to add at least one moderator to each of these forums to start off with.
We'll keep the applications open for a few days, and will update this thread once they are closed. Once we go through applications, we will send you a response letting you know if you've been accepted or denied.
Moderator Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a moderator on the forums will include:
Maintaining sticky threads containing important information and resources.
Posting on the forums to stay active and to interact with the community. Encourage discussion!
Communicating with the mod team on the staff forums and Skype. (Text chat only)
Letting your fellow moderators know about your absences.
Additionally, if you are applying to be a moderator of a class forum, you are expected to stay up to date with your class.
Moderator Requirements
We require our moderators have the following:
A HearthPwn account in great standing.
A Skype account to join the HearthPwn Mod group chat. Easy real-time communications!
To accept the Moderator Code of Conduct (seen below). If you don't agree with this, do not apply.
Moderator Code of Conduct
The moderator agrees:
To be respectful of all members, each other, and the administration of HearthPwn.com and to represent the website of HearthPwn.com with professionalism, even though we are all volunteers;
To understand that not all decisions are open for group discussion because input arrives from many sources, some of which require privacy and confidentiality;
To be discreet and to maintain confidentiality regarding moderator forum activities and member information;
To agree to use private emails and private messaging to communicate with the administrative team when questioning administration policy or guidelines or decisions on specific issues;
To resign from moderator duties if there is a breech of confidentiality, if the code of conduct is not followed, or if the rules of HearthPwn or the authority of the administration are not recognized.
Open Positions
The following positions are currently open and accepting applications. Please do not apply for multiple forums. If a position isn't open for the forum you'd like to moderate, check back in the future! Also please excuse the.. formatting.. of the applications. Our Mod Application process is in its rough early stages ;)
What would be an estimated minimum amount of time we would have to put in every week? Also, about how big is the workload on average? What task do moderators here do the most?

I do my best to create good content for the Hearthstone Community.

There is no minimum time required per se, but if you visit the site and post regularly then you should be fine. The workload can vary depending on site activity but should not be too demanding. Common tasks are general forum maintenance (moving/editing/deleting threads) and responding to reports, although there may be additional tasks depending on the subforum.

Spot on! Class forum moderators are expected to maintain sticky threads for their classes, no such requirements for other forums at this time.
Interacting with the community is the number one thing moderators can do! Although spammers come first.
"Class forum moderators are expected to maintain sticky threads for their classes, no such requirements for other forums at this time." Quote from Fluxflashor (#8)
I saw once a nice post by a afaik Shaman Forum Mod where he wrote a nice overall *Guide* with common Variants/Builds, Are these expected to be done by any Class Mod for *their* Class? ( Not that it would be impossible ;-) ) Or does it simplified mean that Mods have to keep the Sticky Threads Up2date ?
Yes, these are expected to be done by the class mods for their classes. You can check out the Shaman, Rogue, Priest, Hunter and Warlock stickies (pinned to each of the respective forums) to get a better idea of what class threads should have. Don't worry though if they seem like a lot of work--there are plenty of resources to help in making them.
Hello! I would like to apply! I do have a Skype account. Even though I registered somewhat recently to Hearthpwn, I have been using forums since I was a teenager, so I'm somewhat familiar with them. I do have work (around 8-5 Central weekdays), but I think I can handle the workload of a moderator. I think this will be a really cool thing to do!
As for which forum, I don't have any preference. I haven't really played Shaman or Druid much if that matters. Please let me know if I can moderate a forum! Thanks so much!

If you haven't done so, submit an application! That's the only way for you to become eligible.
I would put my name down but Uni has ramped up at the end of year so unfortunately all of my free time is gone :P
Am studying New Media Design and would of been great to apply my skills to the Stream/Videos section (as sometimes it feels what I learn has no use in the real world :P )

The thread has been unlocked for any comments/questions you may have about the open positions.
How much do you guys pay?
As stated above, all site moderators are volunteers.
We definitely have fun though ;)

The OP hasn't been updated in a few days. Was wondering if there is still an opening for the warrior position.
Caution: Steep Incline (Ramp Druid)
You can definitely still apply to these positions.
