By "Twilight Zone" I assume you mean "Twisting Nether," but from the cards you are referring to it would seem that you haven't played yugioh for about 7 years at least. I however have played competitively for the last few years, but I also played casually for the last 10.
As far as favorite cards go, Dark Paladin always fascinated me because of how he had the potential for unlimited attack. For a similar reason I always liked Ra. Tyrant Dragon was also really cool.
I know that plenty of HS cards have reminded me of yugioh cards, but I never made a list of them or anything, so I'll have to get back to you on that.
But I'm glad to see another yugioh player on HS! XD
I currently play ygo semi-competitively. I put most of my focus on HS as it has a far better meta than Yugioh right now. My top 5 cards are the following: Madolche Magileine (Shocking I know), Tour Guide from the underworld, Lava Golem, cards of Consonance, and Mathematician.
Honestly Their aren't a whole ton of HS cards besides what you've mentioned that remind me of Yugioh cards. Although a random one is Gnomish experimentor is similar to witch of the black rose. Where if you dont draw a specific type of card you get a negative effect.
It's been about 7 years lol. When i did play I would go to all the tournaments I could go to. I quit playing about a year after creature swap was limited to 1. Ending the short but glorious rein of *goat control*. Sjc soul control was another fun deck xD.
I tried to make goat control work using Tsukuymoi, magician of faith.
I have no idea why but every time I think of "Twisting Nether", I think of "Twilight Zone".
I actually made a 60 gallis Otk synchro deck. the deck had 59 monsters and 1 spell. That spell being pot of avarice. You goal of the deck was to set magical Merchant. Gte its effect off mill 40+ cards then win the next turn. It also played the Gallis OTk which happened sometimes. Gallis mainly contributed to synchroing though.
This is something I just thought of. Have you guys seen the current yugioh banned list? Raigeki's at 1, Dark holes at 2, Mirror force is at 3, Tsukiyomi is at 3, Magician of faith is at 3. In the ocg (Japan), CED, Ring of destruction, exhange of spirit and harpies feather duster dust are going to 1 and getting errata'd. It sfun.
Quit yugioh years before it was great TCG in Power of Chaos era, now its bad in my opinion. Tried it few months ago but it dosent feel right, all those special summons make game much faster.
I love YuGiOh! (Bonus points to anyone who knows my avatar)
My all-time favorite card is definitely The Tyrant Neptune.
I've always loved the idea of being able to "fuse" any two monsters. Loved abusing it in an obelisk deck. I still play YuGiOh on DevPro, the best place to play YuGiOh online currently IMO.
I used to play it on DS, the like world championship games, if they ever made a game like that that was online, I probably wouldn't play hearthstone. I think the actual rules in yugioh, and different strategies, and just massive variance in styles just shits all over Hearthstone. Like every single card in the game had a place in some deck, there was hardly any overpowered cards, and when they were overpowered, they were banned or limited, which balanced it. Oh and yugioh didn't have cards that could charge. But being able to go against real people actually makes Hearthstone a good game in my opinion. Going against AI and thrashing it over and over again gets boring, but going against real people and thrashing them over and over again doesn't get boring :) I used a like pure warrior deck, using stuff like, that guy that repeatedly comes back from the graveyard if your graveyard only has Warriors in, and some of the Junk cards, that warrior with piercing and whats essentially windfury, and Solidarity. Can't remember too well now.
That carried on to hearthstone, I still use beast synergy decks in ranked haha. So gone from warrior synergy in yugioh to beast synergy in hearthstone. Guess I like synergy too much :] (mech synergys gay)
They have Yugioh games where you just play against people online. You have access to every card. Theirs Devpro for automatic play (similar to the games) and Duelign network which you have to do everythign yourself.
To those out there who would say that yugioh is a bad game or is inferior to MTG or HS:
Yugioh is a fast paced game.
It is easily the most complicated and most difficult to learn TCG in existence.
MTG is more about making decisions once the game has started. HS is more about board control. Yugioh is more about creating your deck and less about playing it. Yugioh is all about card advantage.
Don't disrespect something that you don't understand. Yugioh is a strategy game. If you don't get that, grow a brain.
When I think of "OP" I think of completely broken "Delinquent duo","Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", Cyber-stein into Blue-Eyes Twin Dragon swing for 8k for the game...
Warlock wasn't as broken, as I thought it was going to be.
Actually, regarding Yu-gi-oh, card advantage's weight has decreased dramatically in the current format, it's more about tempo now. It's about making openings and dealing damage. The top decks make so much free advantage that the only real resources are 1 normal summon per turn and once per turn effects.
What were you're favorite cards? And which HS cards remind you of yugioh cards?
Yatagarsu, cyberstine, reckless inferno summmon, morphing jar. pot of greed, Are my top 5 cards
*Tree of life* Reminds me of *Fiber Jar*
*Twlight zone*, *Dark Hole*
*vaporize* ,*Sakuretsu Armor*
And so on. Let me know what you think =D.

Witch of the Black Rose... I use that in an all monster deck I built. WotBR and Gallis the Star Beast are the core engine. It's so much fun.

Which version of Dark Paladin did you think had the best artwork?
Moved to Off Topic->Other Games forum ;)

I was addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh! earlier but Hearthstone is much better!
I've got the beast in my sights!
I have played Yu-gi-oh competitively for the last 3 years or so, I love both games.

When I first started HS, I thought warlock would be super op because of the hero power. sadly that was not the case lol.
@yatacy Is that a joke?

Could you give an example are link some of the meta card/decks?
