Basically I have been looking at a few of these new cards from the expansion and the deck builder in me just goes wild where I theorycraft a ton of ideas. I thought about how we can utilize some of these cards like Abominable Bowman and Stitched Tracker.
Would like to hear peoples thoughts on this I think it actually can be pretty fun.
Update: I updated the deck and wrote up the idea behind each card and why they are in the deck. Click the link to find the write up which is why I didn't just insert the deck in here.
So, you're just trying to pull Swamp King Dred with the snowman? Seems like it's pretty light on deathrattles for a Barnes/N'Zoth deck. No Highmane, even? I'm not sure I understand the Tundra Rhino inclusion, either.
This deck seems like the would always lose to burn mage. Maybe hunter gets some lifesteal options for support.
Sated threshadon is a big death rattle beast without beast tokens. So I think it would be a good option if you're worried about Bowman pulling little tokens instead of high mane.
i think bright eyed scouts might be a good fit. Secrets are 0 with cloaked huntress so they aren't bad pulls. And getting a bowman, n'zoth, or other big cards for 5 can be super swingy.

Highmane spawns two hyenas that are 2/2 bodies which would make Abominable Bowman significantly weaker. N'zoth will spawn the two bowman's again plus any cards that are created with the zombeast ability from Deathstalker Rexxar.
Not a fan of the pirate though it does thin the deck out once you pull patches out, Stitched Tracke can help with that.
I feels like highmanes are op and needed though pulling a dog from the bowman deathrattle would be bad.
Honestly the deck is not bad, I don't have dred nor patches so I might need to make changes.
Overholt is right, though you CAN make a deathrattle beast with the dk hero power you should maybe put yogg in there for the lols over n'zoth
( I prob won't get the hunter legends ;-;)
I was thinking the same thing about the pirates, really the only reason is because I feel like the beginning of the game will be rough without a board against aggro. Bloodsail Corsair is used as a body on turn one thinning of the deck and weapon removal later on. I can see the 2x Bloodsail Corsair's and Patches the Pirate being exchanged. Not exactly sure what yet...

I agree hopefully they get lifesteal, Sated Threshadon could work well, worth thinking about for sure. Only reason I am not a huge fan is that the deck is already so top heavy. Bright-Eyed Scout is also very interesting especially if I were to make the deck even a little more top heavy with the removal of the pirates.
I really want to try a secret heavy deck with as few minions as possible, so stitched tracker will get the best choices. Maybe even some weird deck that still runs the deathstalker rexxar card, so only beasts from animal companion and other selected beasts will get shown with the hero power. Sadly, the secrets can produce 1/1's, which you may get at random. For the rest, I'd think good early game with as much draw as possible and if there are enough spells, you could even throw in arcane giants.
It's all pure speculation though. We still have to wait for the other cards to show up
edit: for the deck, I don't think the pirate package fit that well, because you won't get the discount very often with only two weapons. Also the Bowman is pretty risky in conjunction with prof. p., because you can easily get snake trap to ruin your potential gain from it.
Arcane Giant's could be decent if I were to add a few more spells into the deck, mainly thinking tracking to get the cards needed faster but not sure I feel they would be a bit clunky personally. I do agree we won't know for sure until we can test this out in game soon enough. :)
I was also thinking the same thing about professor putricide so I am going to theorycraft on what to do a bit more now, will update the deck and this topic once I figure something out haha!
Heh, i've been toying around with similar ideas - i'm sure a lot of us have. I would love to be able to make the abominable bowman work in a low-to-no-beast environment - guaranteeing a zombeast or Dred - but I've also been thinking: Is it really so BAD if it only gets a 2/2 hyena?
I mean, it's one of the 'worst'-case scenarios, but even then, it's a 6/7 that poops out a 2/2. It's that much more that the opponent needs to deal with, because god knows nobody wants to leave a beast on the field when facing a hunter ;)
A highmane on curve is dangerous. And late game, you'll have so many zombeasts that the 2/2 puppies probably won't be an issue (and it's more of an issue if your build-a-beast luck was bad or not)

I think it is pretty horrible to be honest as a Boulderfist Ogre is 6 mana and Abominable Bowman is a 7 mana version if he deathrattles out only a 1/1 or a 2/2 he is not worth playing.

so this deck needs a lot of work, first of all, you have a little bit too much deathrattle synergy, it is all fine and good if you can afford to play it, but with bowman as the only deathrattle, and hunter having trouble surviving you are going to have trouble when you draw those cards and literally can't play them ever. I would add a few non-beast minions to fill out some curve, put putricide and a few more secret in, and then make a package of beasts with deathrattle, n'zoth, and the bowman. then fill out the rest of the deck with whatever cards you can to help you survive. You will have enough value late game, so you don't need to find value, and you are not trying to beat control by controlling them, you want to be more like a midrange deck with a stronger finisher a little later. That means you don't need the pyro hunter's mark and can get some taunts instead. Stonehill is of course really good because it is an early drop that provide value and survivability so I would run that. the tundra and dred are kind of just bad here so remove those. And Barnes is cute and all, but if you are adding minions to have a curve I would consider cutting it.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
