This season i will try to reach legend, i've been halfway there in a couple season since i started playing (i was rank 5), but i never really tried. Also i took a break from Hearthstone like three months ago, and i don't know many of the decks that run around. What do you suggest as the most used decks to climb the ladder?

im not sure im gonna try for legend this or next month because of exams... but if i try , or in march, i will go with secret palladin to achieve legend first time and then i will stop bother myself about legend rank... every season i go to rank 1,2,3 and cant go forward...
Renolock is a very popular deck it seems... so far 17 games today, and faced 5 warlocks (4x renolock). Second place for Druids 4x (1x agro, 1x egg, 2x combo) and 3 mages (3x tempo). not a single rogue, and the rest of the classes i faced 1x... lets see how the rest of the season will go. I expect a lot of secret paladins later on in the season, but now I believe they play random decks to complete quests on ladder...

Got some large amount of dust and crafted 2 legendaries that i was missing so, going to go with Tempo and Mech Mage,Dragon and Control Priest, and maybe RenoLock and Secret Paladin, what ever works i guess. Maybe I will also try some face tactics, depending on my preference, and not on the meta, because meta is crazy and anything is played. Maybe some niche deck? Who knows! Everyfin is possible. :D
I managed to reach Rank 2 for December, but then went on an 8 game losing streak, but I got the golden epic so I'm fine, I've heard pushing for Rank 5/ Legend early in the season is good so that's what I'm going for.
November I hit 10 after nearly six months away from the game. I was still playing Undertaker, that's how out of touch I was with the meta. Last month I hit 5 with 52-22 record, but left things a little too late in the season to push any further. So this is the month where I actually try.
Really random meta atm but fun to play against some of the best so early in the season.
Going to try out the new dragon hunter looks like a lot of fun. After that I'm going full legend this season, been too long since I got it a couple months back but I'm ready for the grind again.
Didn't make it last month, told myself I'd commit to Tempo Mage which had a 60% winrate last month.
Today isn't going so well, 16-26 which includes 1-9 against Paladins. I had a 50% winrate against the class last month but it seems like now the decks are more refined, or maybe its that I'm so frustrated playing this class it affects my play.
I may just go with Secret Pally, its either beat your head against the wall after every loss or join the party. (Sorry for the rant)

Every month I start with big motivation and plans, but somehow I lose it along the way. During the holidays I barely played and finished at rank 4 which was very easy to reach with minimal time investment. I'm still not sure about my motivation this month, but definitely will try, at least the first week :)
I will play strong decks, primarily paladin as I think dr 6 will get nerfed soon and I do not think future expansions will be kind to the class, so I try to get close to golden hero as much as possible. Also have a shaman and druid deck prepared, just in case.
I do seriously suggest that some of the elitist wanker cock-cheeses here who think they are above everyone spend a bit of time playing rank 20-15.. it is harder than legend. Not only are you playing the farmers you are playing decks where you have no idea what they have.
Legend by comparison is easy when you have 99.9% certainty on every card in the deck... but of course no one ever takes this challenge. The bruising to the ego prevents it. Sure you get retards who make stupid plays.. but you also get tons of players who who play stupid fucking decks with stuff that you can't mitigate against.
God I so fucking wish I could debunk this legend bullshit by being dropped straight in there. The tendency towards 50% winrate isn't dependent on rank it's just the nature of the game.

This month I am going to give it a good shot to get legend... good start of the year I would say...
speaking about start of years:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
The man who make thread every season is probably drunk from last eve :D Happy new year to you too and many many legendaries in this year :D
Good luck to anyone on ladder. Hope you have a fun and successful time laddering this month.
Rank 10 atm, meta is freaking diverse. All classes are represented during 2 hours of play.
