I do seriously suggest that some of the elitist wanker cock-cheeses here who think they are above everyone spend a bit of time playing rank 20-15.. it is harder than legend. Not only are you playing the farmers you are playing decks where you have no idea what they have.
Legend by comparison is easy when you have 99.9% certainty on every card in the deck... but of course no one ever takes this challenge. The bruising to the ego prevents it. Sure you get retards who make stupid plays.. but you also get tons of players who who play stupid fucking decks with stuff that you can't mitigate against.
God I so fucking wish I could debunk this legend bullshit by being dropped straight in there. The tendency towards 50% winrate isn't dependent on rank it's just the nature of the game.
Edit: oh yeah, happy new year ya fuckers XD
I dunno, I think a ton of people could care less once they hit legend and just experiment. Of course, what you are saying to an extent is true. In the lower ranks you play anticipating certain things and then they just toss out oddball combos that are never used.
My wife plays in those ranks and I 'coach' her; there are a ton of players with netdecks that are obviously there to farm.
someone could post a good list to counter atm meta aggro secret/tempo,mech-mage/facehunt/aggroshaman?
I don't think there is one for Secret Paladin. Oil Rogue and Freeze Mage do okay but I don't think there's something out there that gets a 55%+ winrate against it. The other two, just tech in heals and taunts
finally made it last month :D played control warrior from rank 6 to legend, and mostly dreadsteed warlock up to rank 6. will be trying again, though i'm not certain which decks i'll play yet. probably a good bit of ponies again, as well as some echo mage since i'm less than 80 wins away from golden mage, but apart from that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Every month I start with big motivation and plans, but somehow I lose it along the way. During the holidays I barely played and finished at rank 4 which was very easy to reach with minimal time investment. I'm still not sure about my motivation this month, but definitely will try, at least the first week :)
I will play strong decks, primarily paladin as I think dr 6 will get nerfed soon and I do not think future expansions will be kind to the class, so I try to get close to golden hero as much as possible. Also have a shaman and druid deck prepared, just in case.
i hope they dont untill i reach legend... and next 2 months i will be busy :( btw how sure you are about nerfing it?
It is just a guess from my part, it may or may not happen.
I´m on it again with my intention to try and climb with priest (while getting golden portrait), so far i´m having fun im at rank 14 and 9-1 so far faced 3 Combo/tokendruids / 3 Tempo(flamewaker)mage 2 Controlpriests and a Demonhandlock oh and i lost to a mechaggro shaman.

i thought also they would nerf it before LoE but now, im not so sure
I'm finally going to make my first legend push this month.
I usually hit Rank 3-5 and quit because I get bored but I got the time this season and nothing to really do so might as well fight the grind and get better at the game.
This will be the first time I will actually make a dedicated effort into playing each day. Rank 17 atm (just started) so I will let you know how it goes. Going with a Flood Zoo with Hobgoblin

Last season was honestly the first time I've tried to go for Legend, but I didnt really start until the 3rd week, and I was able to get to rank 3! I had never gotten below rank 8 before, but then again I don't play a ton. I think I have a great shot this month, I'm gonna try with my Aggro Shaman list, and probably renolock or zoolock.
The funny thing about Dr6 is that even if it was a 6 mana 3/3 with the same effect you would still play it. That's how broken the design is. They will have to limit how many secrets it pulls as trimming the stats will have zero affect on it. The only other options is raising the cost, but even at 8 mana I don't see that the card is really any weaker; It just delays the stupidity for a couple more turns.
Nerfing MC to 8 mana would make it infinitely worse.

The deck would absolutely be unplayable. Honestly it might be a bad deck at 7. When there isn't a challenger right on 6 it's a pretty easy deck to beat.
I thought I would cruise through the lower ranks with aggro shaman this season, but it's not happening. Is that deck good? It feels so hit or miss. I don't get how ppl could get "80% winrate" with aggro shaman. Must be lucky? I think facehunter is better...
a bit sidetrack, i just wonder why i haven't got the Dec 2015 cardback. Is it because i received star bonus and start the rank play at rank 16?
just play 3 days for the season, not many pally, and i found some aggro pally and variation of mid range druid playing the discover minons/spells cards quite effective.

The Nagga Resident Sleeper deck that I made beat them all the time. Haven't lost to one yet. Also beat a Renolock that was running Giants.

Went down a bit after I tried out Aggro Freeze Mage. I think this deck could work, depend on how many Warriors and Priests I face.
If it doesn't work back my Mech Mage is wrecking.
