Going for golden pally this season, don't care too much about getting legend again but playing quite sadly cancer since it is the fastest wins. Currently rank 2 and 3 stars.
I decided to finally try to get to legend this season, just went from rank 12-5 over the last two days and plan to go the rest with midrange hunter. While it's usually good to rotate decks depending on the meta I feel that midrange hunter is strong enough to stand it's own against most classes
Hi guys, some advice to kill my anxiety to climb the ladder? Past rank 10 im too anxious to procede over
I used to be like you when i first started playing ranked and wanted to go higher. The more you play, the higher rank you get and each rank means a lot to you. How I overcame this is to NOT CARE ABOUT UR RANK AT ALL.
Although not gonna lie during rank 1-5 is quite irritating, and I still care about my rank in 1-5 even after hitting legend numerous times because I just want to hit legend for the sake of hitting it.
Anyways, pick a hero you want to reach legend with. Load up hearthstone deck tracker and keep track of your opponents deck and cards. After awhile you won't even need it and know what to expect. Also just trust the statistics on your deck tracker, if its 51%+ you can reach legend with it, provided you play enough games.
Now the key is when you pick a hero, tell yourself all I want is "Golden X". To not quit, until you get "Golden X". For example with warrior, don't quit on reaching legend until you get golden warrior. If your deck statistics is not high enough, modify it to counter what you are facing the most in ladder or netdeck some famous streamer and trust enough in the deck they are using. The rest is up to your skill, and not the deck.
Currently Rank 5, 2 stars. Probably will use Handlock from now on or my own version of Hybrid Mage and see how far it goes( so close to get Golden Mage).
I don't know how realistic it'll be for me to reach Legend this month. I thought I'd have more time, but it doesn't look like it. I also realized that several of the decks I played a few seasons ago have changed enough that I need to learn some decks again. Ugh, heh. I think I'll just play to level up the classes. I want golden Sen'jin and Yeti :)
OK, well, I hope you keep plugging away. At this point I really hope you can find your groove and hit legend at some point. All of us have been frustrated at this game. It really is a game of luck that has some skill involved.

Man I keep losing to a hoarde of aggro cancer pally. It seems to be the number one played deck ranks 5-1 right now. I'm struggling to get beyond rank 6 and 5 right now.
They say the only way to beat em is to join em - but f**k that - I'll go the honourable way - legend or not

How to become ∞ at arena: - practice, practice, win, dominate, profit.
Hello i cilimbed up to rank 5 by using mech mage and demon zoo but now i've been facing a couple of patron warriors and i have no idea what and how to play against them , what 3rd deck should i use in case i go against patrons handlock is a good choice but not that good against aggro decks

Maybe freeze mage can help you out. Echo mage would be a choice but it doesn't perform well against patrons.

I love Druid. I own golden Druid. I hit Legend for multiple times.
Played a few games, Battlenet have some issues where I'm currently (trying to play on NA from Iceland is not guaranteed everyday it appears).
Climbed from rank 14 to 12 in 5 games (4-1). Handlock still doing pretty fine, against all kind of decks there. It's quite funny to ladder up from rank 20 since I've not played on NA last season. Legend, here I come.

Used to be a proud Handlock player.
Legend 17 times.
Still flirting with the ladder from times to times with Renolock.
i'm just doing the daily quests in ladder as always, already rank 9 doing so, will only get to legend after the expansion is launched, probably with various decks.
currently at rank 10... I just cannot get the guts to play more then 2 games a day because I am afraid of loosing streaks.... anyone else have this problem or am I just being retarded?

I have ladder anxiety as well, but not at the lower ranks anymore. After I reached rank 7 this month, I started to try new decks like Firebat's Freeze priest and reached rank 9. I did not care too much, because I knew I can get it back and I'm rank 7 again. At higher ranks I will have the same issue, especially if I'm on a winstreak.
well im currently between rank 5 and 6, yesteday i was rank 5 3 stars with priest and one day later i dropped to rank 6 4 stars with the same class. its so hard for me couse i got depression , so it makes me sometimes really frustating....(overload salt).
any suggestion ? hs is currently my only game i enjoy, and i know rank 6 is a good rank (above average)

1. HS is a game that is very much dominated by RNG. Your decisions are important, but no matter how good you are the other guy will just get a better draw. Most aggro decks are notorious for this because they have a low curve and lots of ways to deal damage. Even a control warrior can get killed on turn 5 by a face hunter if they don't draw the right cards and the hunter does.
2. Because RNG is important there is even more reason to know that win streaks and losing steaks are a perfectly normal part of the game. Losing 4 games in a row has nothing to do with having the wrong deck. You need to look at bigger patterns over 100s of games to really know what is going wrong.
Just keep plugging away. At the end of the day the rank doesn't really matter once you can hit rank 5. You can hit rank 5 again and you can hit legend.
I don't really care that much about losing anything. Just play till I reach a higher rank (obviously if I loose 2 ranks, I just play again till I win them again and stop). It is not like this game is changing anything in out life or you like lose real money if you lose in this game. Hearthstone is for most of the people just fun nothing else. It is like football.
That feeling that my last 3 hours of Hearthstone are worth of nothing. Started at rank 9 with a winstreak in progress and climbed all the way to rank 7, just to get back to 9. I know that i'll eventualy climb back and surpass the previous rank 7, but the things that happened in the middle of this win-lose-win-lose are frustrating. You start to think that the problem is your deck and then you switch, just to get hit by that paranoia about the matchmaking system throwing you against bad matchups. Then the tilt, whether you recognize it or not, then a few more free losses...
Switched to taunt druid with a lot of taunts Kezan BGH and Harrison. Going pretty well from 16 to 11 in two days. Crashes Hunters and Aggro Pally. No patrons in sight, though.
