All of these self entitled pricks these days. Everyone wants to be fuggin spoon fed, told they are great when they suck and wants to win ribbons and trophies for doing shit that 20yrs ago, was expected of them. I don't understand how this entire hero pack thing is made to be something some damn complex.
It has no bearing, in any way at all, whether you win, lose or compete. It is purely cosmetic, has nothing to do with P2Win or whatever other bull$hit you complain about. You either buy it or you don't, based upon whatever the company that is doing business, decides they want to charge for it. If you buy it, then yay! Be happy and move on. If you don't (for whatever reason you tell yourself that makes you feel better at night), then yay! Be happy, don't b!tch and move on.
Get enough of your $hit straight in life and none of this would be an issue for you. Do you walk around b!tching, moaning and complaining that a Ferrari is too damn expensive and certainly not worth it simply because you haven't gotten enough done with your life that you cannot afford more than a Civic? Same case here. STFU.
I for one am going to buy all of them. Then I will make a thread to show off how cool they look and let all those that can't afford them spend their obviously misplaced effort posting something about it.
Seeing as how you disagree with being, 'spoon fed' and believe that people want to, 'win ribbons and trophies for doing s***' then I take it you voted for "Gold Only" so we all have to earn these new heroes and no one can take a short cut and buy it with real money.
Sounds good, fair, and reasonable. Valid point.
Right because no one works for their money~~
Not everyone has equal opportunities to earn money.
Everyone has equal opportunities through playing Hearthstone.
This poll, the graphic in the comments are biased.
The problem with this poll is that the majority of people who said $5 or under would not buy it anyway. You know when you go around town "How much would you pay for _____?" Well, everyone's got an opinion, but most of them wouldn't pay for it anyway even at the price they said or lower. Why? Because they value other things more and if they're not gonna buy it unless it's pocket change, well they're not going to buy it anyway.
Also, suppose blizzard introduced it at $5, well you would get a bunch of people complaining that they can't get it for free one way or another, "45$ for all the heroes is too expensive yada yada yada". I am among those who think 5$ (45$ for all heroes) would've been reasonnable, but guess what? I'm not interested by it, hell let's say 25$ for all heroes and I wouldn't want it. I simply don't value cosmetic.
If you voted anything under 5$, well you're just some cheap b*stard. It's cosmetic. You don't need it, it shouldn't be free or almost. You want to look different, you got to pay for it, they don't force you to buy any of it nor all of them*.
Secondly, those who would really buy it for 5$, will most likely buy some at 10$ anyway. If they are REALLY interested at 5$, they'll buy at 10$. Maybe less, but blizzard only need 4 less heroes bought in average by account to bust your little graphic.
It's 10$, get over it. If they end up changing the price, well good for you, but I don't think it's gonna happen. You're not entitled, people.
*Edit correction. If you voted anything under 5$ and complain it isn't, well you're just some cheap b*stard. It's cosmetic. You don't need it, it shouldn't be free or almost. You want to look different, you got to pay for it, they don't force you to buy any of it nor all of them.
While it may be fun to play 'pretend' and claim you wouldn't spend money on a cosmetic effect, the number of people/threads which complain about that tespa back and the Chinese only gold back begs to differ.

Well, yeah that's why the price will stay at 10$, there're people who crave that stuff, and people who don't. For those who don't, like me (much pretend! cause of course everyone is secretly wishing to throw their money at cosmetic), well, I'll talk for myself, I'll actually be very happy if blizzard can make a lot of money from that, as long as it helps the game survivability.
If blizzard judge that they'll make more money at 10$, I'm for it.
If you voted anything under 5$, well you're just some cheap b*stard. It's cosmetic. You don't need it, it shouldn't be free or almost. You want to look different, you got to pay for it, they don't force you to buy any of it nor all of them.
No, the poll doesn't ask people how much they think it should be priced at, it asks how much they would be willing to pay for it. You're not a cheap bastard if you would be only willing to pay $3 for it - it just means that you don't value a cosmetic skin above $3. You can be wiling to pay $1 for it, but think it should be priced at $20, you just wouldn't buy it at what you think a suitable price is.
Yeah, I got to admit, I've been a bit harsh. I meant to specifically target people complaining that it should be let's say 1$ per hero, else blizzard is a meany. Then, again I said that I wouldn't even buy the lot at 25$, but I think 5$ per heroes would be reasonnable. So, yeah, still think someone voting for any less than 5$ is cheap (arguable of course), but if they vote for under 5$ and complain that it's not under 5$, then they are cheap b*stard.
i never played wow, so i'm not invested in the lore, and as such, any purchase would be pretty steep for me. i could MAYBE see myself paying about 2.99 for a portrait/cardback i just really liked for a class i play routinely (especially for Priest, Warrior, or Druid, which I have golden already), but the reality is there's probably less than a 1% chance i'll ever spend money on fluff like this for this game. if i was into warcraft lore, i might see myself paying 4.99, maybe 5.99 for a character i just loved. but a cosmetic skin for a card game where you don't really do anything with the character really seems tough to justify even then.
Of course it is, the sample consists only of people who come to this forum, is much too small, etc etc, by no means is it meant to be a proper chart of what's going to happen and how my 3 mins of excel and someones poll on hearthpwn are better than blizzard economic managers, because they of course aren't. But it show a trend that people think this new feature is much overpriced (it is). You're right, most of the people who said they'd buy it for 5$ will probably buy it anyway, but why the hell would you say that anyone who voted under 5$ is a cheap bastard? People buy things for an amount of money they value them, I would never pay more than, say, 2$ for such a minimal cosmetic item, even if it's advertised as the most awesome thing on earth. I'd rather pay 2$ and donate 10 than to have to pay 10$ for a hero skin in hs.
If they were 1-2 bucks each, I'd buy several, probably most of them avoiding only those that I wouldn't care about because of a combination of a class that i rarely play and an aesthetic that doesn't go with me.
If they were 4-5 bucks each I'd buy one from time to time, but it would have to be something I definitely want.
In order for me to buy a hero for 10 bucks... Well, first of all I'd have to be seriously drunk, because no hero, no matter how awesome, is worth that kind of money. It's not a matter of earnings, it's just common sense. Secondly, if I don't have all the cards yet, spending 10 bucks on a portrait that doesn't affect the gameplay seems retarded.

It doesn't show "How many heroes would you buy at what price?" Suppose I said 2 at 10$ and 3 at five. All of them at 5$, 5 at 10$. I actually meant that the graphic posted in the comment was biased because it didn't show all the factor. For the simple reason that the poll is incomplete, unprecise.
I said it in another thread, people go and spend $10 on maccas and don't even think twice about throwing money away on a few minutes of satisfaction, but when it comes to a potential gold hero on a video game which could bring them hours of enjoyment? FUCK IT, THAT'S CROSSING THE LINE.
Not only that, these heros do not impact the game at all, they're just like league skins, yet nobody complains about league skins and congratulates riot on their f2p system, Hearthstone does it? everyone bitches and dislikes their youtube video for offering us something WHICH PEOPLE ASKED FOR SINCE BETA, this community dude... complain about everything when hearthstone has offered us an amazing game, but it's never enough in 2015.

My bad, I meant people who voted under 5$ and complain that it isn't are cheap bastard. If you would buy it under five, but don't care otherwise and simply won't buy it, well you're fine by me, we're in the same boat.
This skin probably took one days worth of development or less. It's a joke they are charging 10 bucks for it. And you know what? People will pay it and they will make money off of something as dumb as this.

The graphic is confusing, I agree. As for the poll, it specifically asked what folks would pay for this particular pack (In bold below):
I've seen both sides of the New Hero debate, especially around cost. Assuming all Hero Packs come with the same thing (cardback, new emotes, special visuals) we can expect them to currently be $10 USD. So I'm curious to what the community thinks: For this particular pack how much would you pay?
For me It'd be $2-3 at most. The $10 purchase seems too high to me for just visuals.
(Apologies for not including other currencies, if you know the equivalencies then vote in that range)
Edit: Or instead of cash, a Gold Equivalency to the prices listed.
Thus we do not need to know, "How many heroes would you buy at what price?" because we can assume the answer given in the poll reflects one hero.
Also it's just meant to be a simple community opinion regarding this specific pack, not cosmetics in general because who knows what Blizzard will come up with next.

I don't have a problem with them releasing cosmetic portraits, the price may be a bit steep but you don't have to buy it. I think my problem is that though some people wanted this, alot more people want say, more deck slots, different hero powers, or new classes.
