When I play against hunters, once they drop low lost minion on turn 1/2 and I realize they are face-hunter. I will play my turns using up my time to elongate the game as much as I can. No matter I win or lose, about half of these hunters will try to add me to friends and hate-message me (I suppose, I always decline).
I think it's a good thing to slow down face-hunters, childish maybe, but if they will play n-1 games per day means one more person can enjoy HS a little bit more.
It's not only childish, it's also scummy and a giant waste of time for everyone. I played maybe 10 face hunter games in my life and yes, I also dislike playing against face hunter and they probably get less "well played" from me than other decks but I have better things to do then waste my time roping some guy.
I would agree that roping against something like bots is a good thing, but against other people just because they play a deck you don't like, that makes you as or probably even more scummy then the people playing face hunter.
I would never consider doing this myself due to the waste of time, but I can't say I mind you doing this :P I seriously hate people who just want to achieve a certain rank and spam that braindead deck. I do not see how it could be fun to play that deck more than 5 games and I disrespect anyone who does (I'm talking about the wolfrider, arcane golem,.. version) .. So I'm not gonna feel any pity for those huntards if they have to wait a couple of minutes for their game to finish.
hey, you do what you gotta do, i think the deck is silly, not interactive and not good for hs. they nerfed miracle because it wasn't fun to play against, that's the explanation they gave, i'm pretty sure most people don't have fun playing against this either.
Maybe they have fun playing Face Hunter and think it's social? My wife and I have a few decks each, and we both have a Face Hunter built because it's so cheap. We will play against each other all the time, and neither of us gets irritated at Face Hunter. She is more likely to get irritated when I play Oil Rogue and put 2-3 weapon buffs on an Assassin's Blade.
You think it's rude to go face instead of trading? I don't think your opponent chose to play that deck to screw with people and get them upset. But that's exactly what you're doing when you rope them. If my wife wanted to go play some Face Hunter and some d-bag started roping her, I'd be pretty upset.
People play face hunter because its cheap and takes as little skill and little time as possible. I think something has to be done about making it a less desirable deck to play but roping won't do a huge amount.
I prefer to make anti-face hunter decks and make them rage as I heal my way to victory (often with grinder mage).
Although its sad a deck like this is so successful - one of my main gripes with hearthstone at the moment is we need more anti-face rush decks tech. Antique heal bot is good but not enough.

Just to make a few things clear for people defending Facetard: the excuse of it being a cheap deck is simply lame. I don't know if I speak for everybody here, but me disliking this deck has nothing to do with it being cheap. The simple truth is that it's simply annoying to play against face hunter because you get that feeling (often rightfully so) that if you weren't here playing against them it would be just the same. As it was previously stated, no interaction whatsoever, it's just play and hit face, play and hit face. Unleash? Wait for Juggler and hit face. Skill command? Wait for Beast and hit face. Taunt? No problem, the Owl is here for that so face face face. To me, the issue is exactly, or at least quite, the same with Freeze Mage.
Your excuse is the deck is fast? Man, I've got a family to take care of and very little time to play HS lately, but God I really enjoy more winning twice with a control deck (Handlock, CW, ..., you name it...) than winning 7 games with that retarded deck. But I guess that's up to anyone's tastes and I won't criticize that, I'm open-minded and understand people like things in an other way than I do, and I'm perfectly fine with that ^^,
So your argument is that the deck is cheap? Really? That's what really makes me blow a fuse each and every time. For Pete's sakes, there are so many decks that are also cheap but way more entertaining to be played (with and against). The basic Facetard deck has 6 rares (Jugglers, Bows and Arcane Golems).
4 Rares and 1 Legendary that can be swapped out easily (some run Thalnos, some run Antonidas in case the game lasts longer than expected, if you really want the extra spell damage then a freaking Basic Kobold Geomancer would do the trick...)
Yeah, sure, 2 more rares, and 1 adventure-based Legendary, which many facetard players surely have (not all of them, I know getting Naxx is a pain for new players)
I tried it out and it's way more effective up to rank 8-7ish than you could believe. 2 Rares. 2 RARES!!!
So don't you facetard players say you play this and love this game. You just want to get your games done and over with. For those out there who actually have a life and a wife/girlfriend/kids you know what I'm talking about. If you love it, you take your time. You enjoy it. You don't just spend as little time caring about it as possible. You want to understand it and respect it. Not just roll over it for crying out loud...
That's my opinion about face hunters.
Edit because I forgot what I originally wanted to say to stay on topic: I got your back, you rope against face hunter all you want. I don't have the luxury to do so as I have many other things to take care of than a bunch of pixels flying around my screen. Thumbs up to all people loving and caring about this game. You stall those inconsiderate facetards all you can.
I've never understood the FaceHunter hate. I've not played the deck, but I've faced it many times. It doesn't bother me. My win rate against it is like 75% and the match (win or lose) is over very quickly. It's the prefect situation, honestly. Really, I'm glad to see them. Quick game. Likely win. Yes, please!
To answer your question directly though, yes, that makes you a bad person. As Mom always said, "Two wrongs don't make a right".
You're just wasting your time and theirs. If you hate face hunter so much, make a deck that counters it: play a lot of taunts, antique healbots, etc. The control priest deck I use tends to do well against face hunters unless they have the absolute nut draw, which is fairly rare. You could also try paladin or druid, I'd imagine they'd do fairly well.
I am a casual player, and face hunters type decks are not very casual friendly
The more I think about it, the more I think this may be the heart of the problem. A good deck deals with FaceHunter quite easily. "Spam lots of cheap minions" is a strategy found in many popular decks (Zoo, Mech-anything, etc) and is something that serious deck planners will account for.
However, casual players (NOT a derogative term, BTW) do not build serious decks that account for all popular opponent possibilities. They build decks around stuff like Mimron's Head or other things that they find interesting.
Problem is that both types of players are equally valid and equally welcome. As much as you hate FaceHunter, there's a person on the other end of that deck having fun (or trying to) and Blizzard (rightfully) supports that. Fully segregating the two player types is impossible and probably inadvisable. But Blizzard does a pretty good job of catering to both. Tavern Brawl, for example is very squarely focused on entertaining the casual playerbase.
You are not a bad person and please feel free to take all the time allowed to think about you and your opponent’s current and upcoming plays because you are playing a strategy game, while the face hunter is not.
Unlike aggressive decks like zoolock, face decks require no interaction, it’s the strategy equivalent of me deciding to walk twenty feet, without bumping into any furniture to get a drink from my fridge.

sorry about the bad English.
A lot of people just tab out on their opponent's turn and look at something else. So you probably aren't really inconveniencing anyone.
I would not condone rope burning against anyone (not even face huntards).

Bro, not only you hate face hunter deck. I hate it, my friends hate it, most of the streamers and pros hated it.
Because of the face hunter deck the hunter becomes most hated class.. which is sad.
Blizzard need 6 months to nerf Undertaker...I do not expect any balance changes at all, so burn huntards down!

I also do this, just to make them feel bad, but I do not think that it will change them.
