I think gang up and its abuse with Coldlight Oracle just broke the game , milling may be a valid strategy to some extent , but abusing it making a whole deck around this and preventing the opponent from using his cards transform the game into something else other than a card game and it is not fun. so whats the point of collecting cards and making decks then to not be able to use them, mill rouge sure has its own weakness but the idea of milling itself is not right and not fun. your opinion guys ?
I highly doubt that mill rogue will stick. It will get it hype, see a lot of play, some play in small budget tournaments, then it will die a slow dead, like mill / fatigue druid did.
Something tells me OP just finished watching one of the twitch heroes use this deck. I'm sure this mill rogue will get some play but the fact that mill decks in general aren't popular and are susceptible to aggro decks it wont be a problem.

Mill Druid was never that strong, the Rogue class cards in general work much better with a Mill strategy. Mill is at it's strongest point right now with Gang Up but it's nowhere near a top tier deck, it's pretty good in Control matchups though.
Ya, the one and only game ive played against the coldlight/gangup mill rogue was def pretty freaky, between that and shadowsteps i had my deck burned by turn 10. Thankfully i already had maly, lightning bolt, 2 lava burst, 2 frost shocks and emperor in my hand and they wrrent burned. Was able to do a turn 10 maly, lavaburst, crackle, lb, and 2x frost shock on turn 10 since he ignored mt emperor for one turn. So i was able do that despite having my ancestral call burned from the craziness of his plays on turn 8-10. I thankfully was lucky and got that combo off to kill him while not burning those key cards, because he def. Had the potential to kill me with fatigue damage from 1 - 8 frosure next turn (i only had 17 life yet.)
Definitely a messed up deck, even less interactive then freeze mage and miracle/oil rogue. Not sure how any midrange deck/control deck could deal with drawing 6-8 cards a turn for 2-3 turns straight once that mill engine hits. I imagine burst decks like the one i was playing or aggressive aggro decks can handle it somewhat respectably. (Or control players lucky enough not to have their key cards get raped from the onslaught of card draws.)
That said, def. Gonna give this deck a shot once i switch back to Rogue at some point this season. The deck is such rubbish that im sire its fun ashell to be the one playing it. :p
I have been playing this game regularly for 5 months now , but i find the idea of milling itself is not right and deter the interactive play , especially making a whole deck around it. I find face Hunters and mech mage may be annoying but you can build a deck to counter them and use your cards strategically to win against them , but facing a mill rouge is like playing with lesser number of cards, sure mill rouge will has its weaknesses but the idea of milling itself doesn't feel right to me
milling is something that the devs said they didn't want to incorporate into the game, since it isn't fun to play against(though somehow they gave face decks a pass). Still even with gang up, I feel drawing those coldlights often enough to mill your opponent is quite situational.
[Sarcasm]I agree. Gang Up is an awful card because it allows Rogues to have a viable deck and can play a strategy that does not fit the narrow meta we have. It should thus be removed for good. [/Sarcasm]
It does not matter if it is used for Coldlight Oracle or other cards with a very good Battlecry. Yeah, it is awesome to mill... but it is also awesome in a lot of different ways, and quite frankly, Rogues needed a spell like this. No matter what card you use with this, it will be a very high-value card. You could of course nerf the card, but who in their right minds is going to claim Rogues need a nerf at the moment?
If you have a problem with overdrawing cards, then play a deck that can empty what you have so he can not mill you.
Playing it properly is very difficult for the newer players. Although gang up can help to play against multiple decks I doubt that it will make a real top tier deck. Having said that I watched Kripp play 14 games with it where he went 10-4 with the deck, there were other games I did not see so this is only his record in the games I saw.
With 2x Shadowstep, 2x Vanish, 2x Gang Up, there were a few cards you saw way to much. Hell in that run he went 3-0 against Hunters with one of them conceding when seeing a third Healbot being played and having Gang Up being played on said third healbot. Having said that he did play only around rank 12 and against viewers of his stream so it was not against top tier players. Mech Mage did own him however.
I recently played against one... well, it was pretty freaky even after I realized what's up. But still, I beat it easy with a pretty suboptimal deck without ever feeling threatened since Coldlight Oracles - no matter how many - pushed us equally towards fatique. It could be godly against decks with a lot of Spare Parts but otherwise I don't think it'll stick, either.
I mention, though, that emptying my hands wasn't particularly effective since if I beefed up my board he could just Vanish it into oblivion after he filled my hand. And if the board was fragile a Blade Flurry would do the trick.

Oil rouge is a viable deck , yes you can use decks that empty cards rapidly to avoid overdrawing - decks like mech mage and face hunters - isn't that ironically encouraging more of those aggro decks which everyone gets annoying from their numbers in the current meta. Don't get me wrong i really want gang up to add more variety in playing rouges but not the milling one, may be nerfing it to be ( choose an enemy minion. Shuffle 3 copies of it into your deck) will make it better for the game itself
Trust me, this deck works far less often than you think it does so stop crying about things you have no idea about.
Cause i don't find it fun , i don't play decks relying on annoying tactics -mill or face hunters-,i always play with fair and decent midrange or control decks
We're literally about to enter the era of the empty-handed hunter; how long do you honestly believe the mill rogue is going to stay even remotely viable?

Maybe you should stop worrying about the well-being of other people and instead do what you want to do. Every deck is going to annoy someone, for example I hate playing against midrange druid.

Do I go around complaining about FoN + SR?
Nope. So why are you complaining?
Dude we all hate Face hunters , mech mage , combo druid and any other annoying combo but at least in those matchups you can play your cards making efficient trades or playing around the combos , but in mill matchups you can't play a numbers of your cards, and overdrawing can occurs to you even if you are playing right from the start unless you are playing super aggro decks.

You're overreacting and obviously new at this game.

Loving mill rogue. Haven't had this much fun since miracle's prime.
EDIT: I doubt it will go away.

Why don't you try to play it if it's so good?
Trust me, this deck works far less often than you think it does so stop crying about things you have no idea about.
Holy... it's so fucked by hunt, or any other aggro stuff
Cause i don't find it fun , i don't play decks relying on annoying tactics -mill or face hunters-,i always play with fair and decent midrange or control decks
...I don't get the joke.

I enjoy playing against mill decks. It almost feels like playing against one of the single player bosses, its a puzzle game.
Once you know how, they're pretty easy to beat. I've been crushing Mill Rogues all day with my Druid deck.
