The expansion along with the fact that the paladin has become competitive has lead to this. I personally did not play paladin at all prior to GvG, but I love it with all of the new cards. I find mid-range paladin to be very strong.
I'm having a lot of trouble building a viable paladin deck. I guess there's hope out there if the class has suddenly become more popular. Hardest class to play for me, personally.
I'm just having trouble getting the synergies to work well. It's not one specific failure, the deck just never comes together right. Tried doing it with weapons like a control warrior, tried mechs and divine shields, tried just slamming all the secrets in with some aggro, but it's like a bad cocktail. Just can't get the mix right, and the end results just tastes bad.

You just put all the good cards in there and it works. It doesn't need a sinergy outside muster / juggler / quartermaster, that's why it's so consistent ;)
bro, first everybody says that pre-GvG paladin was the worst class, and now theyre saying that its too many of them, pls, thanks God that theyre great now.
I just checked my collection and I hadn't put any Musters in there. At all. So maybe my issue is more that I'm an idiot.
lol u don't even need tirion in some decks but muster for battle is definitely imo the most important card that started pushing paladin back into the meta.

No pallies at Rank 10 NA right now.. 1/3rd Hunter and 1/3rd Druid according to my games today... of which 2 of the druids were that silly mill variety. Mechwarper says thanks for all the extra cards to play Malfurion!
i don't play muster/quarter at all currently as I think it's too situational, lots of other good cards, and players always keen on killing your 1/1s, enough to bait them ;-) muster alone is value of course though.
Maybe in a control deck, but they are both too good in a mid-range paladin.

Am I the only one that has been facing tons of palidans?

My comments refer mostly to the wild format.

Can you link the deck you are using?
Paladin works good against Handlock, Control Warrior and okay against Hunter and Zoo, so of course there are more Paladins now.
And at the point where there are let's say 30%+ paladin, priest will be viable again.
Meta shift! Yey!
It's funny, I still find priests to be extremely viable.
Neglected since launch? That's a paddling.
Given a 1 mana secret in Naxx? That's a paddling.
Giving us the heroic KT class quest? That's a paddling.
Justice demands so much freaking retribution for the last 12 months, so get used to us.
@Serology totally agree
Slightly more Paladins yes, but not enough to make me think everyone jumped on the bandwagon just yet.
$2700+ spend on the "Free" Hearthstone game... How do I explain this to the wife?
Of course you are not the only one. I'm sure that, out of the thousands of players, someone would end up playing against a lot of paladins as well.
Personally, i didn't see a single paladin in my last 15 games.

What is this 'palidan' you speak of? :)
lmao
