It loses to almost any other most played deck at the moment. It loses to any type of paladin it loses to Druid it loses to plague DK now even from rogue and warlock.
I barely beat a shaman that summoned frogs every turn since turn 4. If that weapon had 1 more attack, i would be dead too soon. Legendaries are meant to have impact on the games, but this is too much.
So - I don't know whether shaman needed a nerf or not, but the fact that Sif remains untouched in the game tells me that Blizz don't have a clue what this game needs (obviously from my perspective)
it's a game where intereaction with the opponent is basically nil (outside of minion trades). A game where the only skill element left is how you play the cards you have in hand, and read the cards the opponent has or is likely to have (and they've gutted the latter because of the prevelance of discover and random effects).
Yet they leave a card/deck which easily enables an OTK from hand using any old shite you've discovered along the way (all while maitaining tempo and playing for board). It's nonsense, and from my perspective completely anti-fun.
The best bit is that it's not unique to Sif - there are now plenty of fun sucking OTK's in the game. Just when you think you've stabilised on turn 6 - boom. Dead. I would rather lose zoolock any day of the week. A good old honest aggro deck - with minions and everything!
But frogs....NOOOO...we cant have frogs...(and the damage that goes with em!)
I have never seen more than 6 or 7 frogs. That's 12/14 damage that may or may not have gone face.
"An abomination" - I hear you say...or not. "But we have weapon tech - it's tradable" Indeed it is young padawan.

i have seen 9 frogs. and let me do a little calculation for you. Frogs are 45/45 worth of stats. Weapon for 1 mana is the tamest nerf.
It might need a nerf - i'm not saying it doesn't. I don't play shaman much, dont own the card and don't have the data that Blizz has. Arguably it's a very soft nerf too - they've removed 9 potential over 9 turns. I realise it might change a lot of "minion dies vs minion lives" breakpoints, but I would say it's probably less of a nerf than increasing the mana cost. A 4/5 on 5 with a 1/1 taunt seems a lot less bad than a 4/5 on 6. The only other nerf option I can think of is that the base frog is a 0/1. I like this nerf approach a lot, because the historic frog was 0/1. That's probably more of a nerf than the change to the weapon damage though.
The point I was making was mearly that they've left soo many other bullshit cards in the game, that a legendary card (which requires a highlander deck) and gives a weapon which takes 9 turns to reach it's potential, is board based, has minimal immediate impact and can easily be destroyed by the most commonly used tech card in Hearthstones history, probably shouldn't have been a top priority for a nerf.
They can nerf it if they want, but at least nerf the other bullshit cards too - like Arcane Wyrm....oh they did that already...mage is fixed /s
Where did anyone see the need to nerf it?

Great! Thank you really…
Because Hollidae was the single highest winrate card when played in the game.
Its still good.i hate the nerf myself but the card still rules
I wonder if this has to do with the compensation with him only getting the weapon in highlander builds.

Reverberations - this is fine...
