Arena right now is borderline unplayable unless you draw hunter. They have way too much good stuff right now and no other class can compare. A lot of this is due to Freezing Trap being so accessible. If you don't know in the short game hunter wants to play it's a 2 mana destroy minion card. It's not hard at all for the hunter to manipulate it you can't play around it. There's no time to play another minion hope it lives and trigger it. Other classes dont have cheap enough rush minions to try that way so your tempo get shattered by a 2 mana secret. Its not unusual to face hunters that have multiple in their deck. This needs to be hotfixed quick.
Not saying it’s not a really strong card, but the hunter also loses their tempo. It’s not like it costs 0 and also Sap is very much still a card. Arena is probably unplayable just because everyone has an OP deck.
Was there any reason given why they dropped the bucket system they worked so hard to make in favor of the old unbalanced rarity sorting? Was it just for funzies?
When u draft u have to choose hunter or if u don't have him in hero opinion, just take something that counter it (paladin, mage or druid). My average in this exp is 7,5 so it's pretty simple to play I would say.

They didn't, it's still buckets with mixed rarity. The point is a lot of the time you are getting things that shouldn't be offered in the same bucket. Like Amani Warbear and Savagery for example.

Errr I do agree freezing trap can be a very tilting card, for example- you drew only 3 costs and up and your 3 is gonna have to value trade with 2s to save face but now its a 5 drop in your hand and you are already at 20 or less health and guaranteed to lose.. I think the number one key card that makes hunter better than all the others is its discover dragon Primordial Explorer gives it additional tempo advantage into their 4 drop while also losing no value... the 4/1 rush -almost- also does that too. Diving Gryphon
Other cards from Descent of Dragons aren't on this power level in terms of value and tempo with minimal or no synergy.
I think eventually freezing trap will be nerfed to increase the cost by one. Especially with all the cheat out a secret cards it completely wrecks. You get into situations where youre damned if you do damned if you don't over a damn 2 mana spell. Sap is not as bad imo since it reads "destroy an enemy minion; your opponent t draws a card". Its like Naturalize or Mulch where you got rid of a threat but you gave resources. Unless your finishing them off it isnt always so great.
FT reads destroy a minion that attacks; give a card your opponent can't play to keep up with you. In Arena there isnt a lot of skill to use it like there is in constructed. Almost any time is fine. Really needs the Flamestrike treatment.

Buckets were removed completely from what I understood. Back to the old system to help make the picks clearer for baddies.
