I've been playing Hearthstone since release. I've seen some terrible, awful metas (Grim Patron, anyone?) but the current meta is one of the worst.
Binary deck matchups aren't an interactive game. I'm playing Highlander Paladin right now, and I know that if I queue into a Resurrect Priest that there is no combination of cards in my deck that will allow me to win. I can sit there and slowly waste a half hour of my time in an inevitable defeat, or I can...quit the game?
Conversely, that Resurrect Priest player knows he cannot beat Evolve Shaman decks.
It bothers me that Blizzard would allow for such wildly toxic gameplay. "Gee, I hope I don't lose the coin flip and go up against a hard counter this match."
Well i hope someone does not link a salt thread like a moron.
For the main topic, unfortunately Hearthstone has this problem since Pirate Warrior/Jade Druid/Renolock meta. Blizzard likes two things right now.
1. Creating OP early game minions
2. Creating midrange/late game ultimate tempo swings.
Those two card philosophy of blizzard has resulted a powercreep decks that absolutely crashes even slightly weaker decks other than tier 1's. And that caused the creating counter powercreep decks and this causes decks that feeds on counter decks. So we have:
Rock: Which is the ultimate deck of the expansion until the nerfs come
Paper: Kind of a counter to that deck
Scissors: A deck that feeds on the counter deck
Even sometimes we have metas like this, like we don't even have a proper counter deck against shaman and %53 of the ladder is shaman decks
Every HS Meta is the worst ever according to some member of the HS "community".
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Thank you for contributing your critical thinking to the conversation. Please link the salt thread next time and we can see your moronic nature more clearly

I can beat evolve shamans pretty easily on my resurrect priest. Although I've made it a bit of a memey druid-counter with hecklebots and decoys, but shamans losing their battlecry values have a made a nice difference often. Considering even adding in saboteurs, but the resurrection value would be lost.
Dude every HS meta ever will always come down to a Rock-paper-scissors meta no matter what, it only is more or less evident.
Or tell me where is the last meta you can remember where there wasn't a top deck (or class) that was superior to everything and then something pops-out that obliterates that top dog but then something else destroy that deck but it also happens to get rekt by the top dog so it just becomes a vicious circle.
Like honestly even the "best" metas have this type of relation in between the meta decks. At best it'll be like a square of strong decks instead of a triangle.

My bad, I forgot to consider the IQ of the OP.
I think you should consider your own IQ as well

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There is a salt thread for nonsensical rants like this. Heard it a million times before. Nothing new. No need for a new post.

The salt is strong with this one.
