My deck slots are full of decks I play regularly, usually I have to copy the deck code into an Excel file and then delete a deck to make room for trying out another deck. I would certainly love more deck slots.
I usually play with only the first 9-slot page. If I try and don't like the deck, I just delete it. More deck slots won't make any difference for me - I still won't going to use them. I understand there are different people and stuff, so I am not against more deck slots, but for me, it's useless to keep decks I don't enjoy playing anymore or decks from old expansions.
If I want to change 1-2 cards in a deck, I do it in the existing one - no need for me to have 2-3 of the same decks with only 1-2-3 different tech cards. Changing the decks every game doesn't improve my win rates also, so I don't have the need to store so many decks ready to play (deckstrings are just a few clicks away - be it local or in the web). And sometimes I enjoy going in to my collection in order to build a deck for a quest or to add a tech card that I believe will counter the "hot stuff" that day.
But I guess, those small QoL-changes keep the community happy and the game looks fresh for the returning old players, so I support them. Also shows that the developers are listening and responding to the players, which gives us the feeling that our voices matter.

Couldn't they just do 18 for standard and 18 for wild?
This seems logical. And would stop me from accidentally choosing a standard deck when I go to play wild..
I am on 16 out of 18 already just since Tuesday and can think of more than 2 decks I want to play still
