since expansion is comming up and i am farming casual i rather use default card back instead of my legend one because people tryhard-take longer each turn when i use legend cardback. i squelch on turn 1 so i dont mind the BMing etc.
Never bother to change from Classic - I spend more time looking at the front of the cards and almost never pay any attention to the back, which is rarely seen by anyone but one's opponent anyway.
I use classic sometimes. I like to use legend when I'm climbing in low ranks to intimidate people. Around rank 5 or so I usually switch to Black Temple since I think it looks the coolest and people won't be intimidated anymore.
Some might be deception. (If you are paying that much attention to the card backs, it might be working). Some might like it. It is a pretty nice looking card back, the only thing it lacks compared to earned backs is an animation.
I like to switch up my cardbacks every now and then, keep it fresh. I'm not trying to deceive people, I just like playing with whatever back I feel like. If I'm playing and run into another Legend card back holder, I'll switch mine to Legend, just to send a friendly challenge. Then after the game I'll switch back, because sometimes I'm in the mood for the Pirate back and other times I'm in the mood for the Nax back and sometimes I'm in the mood for the Classic card back. But I play my best against all my opponents, doesn't matter what backs they have or not, it's all aesthetic.

I'm using Black Temple back. I haven't noticed a large trend of using the classic back down at rank 15-20 where I am.

I use the Classic sometimes when I just feel like switching it up. Variety.
Feel free to add me if you play on NA! iMPose#1429

Me too. One day, those of us with access to the Season 1 card back will be a minority
Also, I reckon it looks really, really nice. Red and gold, works for me.

Meaning if you change mid-game the change isn't reflected for your opponent until your next game.
