posted a message on Paladin in Arena: Murloc Knights OP

So today I played two separate arena runs, both paladin. Both of my drafts were in my opinion very good, and when I started both of my lists I thought they'd both do fairly well. Funny thing happened though, one draft went 0-3 while the other got 12-0. Can you figure out which one's which?

Seriously though, can we talk about how Murloc Knight is broken in arena though.

posted a message on Which one do you hate more?

Me? I hate Zoo. Why? Because it doesn't matter if they play poorly or not, if you don't draw every single answer, you're going to get overrun by them. And all of their emotes just sound smug because they know there was nothing you could do about it.

I don't hate Hunters, I hate facing Hunter into Hunter into Hunter days. The meta changes all the time, but the one thing that stays the same is Hunters being the class that saturates the ladder the most.

posted a message on Bad Manners (BM) in Hearthstone

My general Rule of Thumb for me is Greet everyone at the beginning and Well-Played at the end, add every friend request, and be polite. I get a flamer here and there, but they remove me from their list when they're done with their little outburst. Most people who add me are very nice, and it's also nice to have some sparring buddies when I get salty on ladder. The people who are on my friend's list are great because if I do run into Hunter into Hunter into Hunter days, there are always someone there for me to vent/complain about ladder/meta. Shout out to Zumdamime, Wuphlez, UncleJemima, Misach, and Sasq13 for keeping me sane in Hearthstone.

I typically empty my hand if I see that I have lethal or that my opponent does, to maximize the XP I get from the match towards leveling my heroes.

You should use all of the cards in your hand before you hit for lethal, to get as much XP out of the match as possible.

amazTruth It's not BMing, it's Maximum XP

posted a message on Bad Manners (BM) in Hearthstone

I think BM against actual good players adds another layer of fun. I know when I play against a priest and get a hero power to my face, "The light shall burn you", this is gonna be a fun game. When it's been a long drawn out game, and they empty their hand, it's nice to see what cards they had left in their hand. When an opponent has an obvious overkill, I laugh when I see them kill all my minions first, hit their own face with a spell, and then kill me with exact lethal, those are my favorite BMs. I love a good "Heh, greetings" from a warrior who topdecks an answer to my board. I love to see a good Kill Command on Leper Gnome from Hunters for their win. I love a good "Oblivion" right as the Handlock player is about to finish me off. And if I have lethal in hand for next turn, and I topdeck a different way to kill my opponent, I always, always, always kill my opponent with the topdecked card no matter what. When I BM it's all in good fun; people who are quick to play, quick to BM, are some of my favorite match-ups.

But I hate Zoo in any shape or form, so they're auto-squelched along with spammers no matter what. The BM from people who actually suck at the game really stings. I don't need to hear "Sorree" or "Thank you" from them ever, unless they actually played well for their win. Then I send them a friend request, mainly to tell them they played well, but I'm also curious to know more about the other decks they play. (But no one who beats me as a zoo player has ever accepted my friend request)

posted a message on What's up with players using default card backs?

I like to switch up my cardbacks every now and then, keep it fresh. I'm not trying to deceive people, I just like playing with whatever back I feel like. If I'm playing and run into another Legend card back holder, I'll switch mine to Legend, just to send a friendly challenge. Then after the game I'll switch back, because sometimes I'm in the mood for the Pirate back and other times I'm in the mood for the Nax back and sometimes I'm in the mood for the Classic card back. But I play my best against all my opponents, doesn't matter what backs they have or not, it's all aesthetic.

Brode loves Paladin, so I'd say the right choice is Paladin.

It's so simple. Back when zoo became popular, everyone was playing zoo, and people that were facing zoo were all pissed off because zoo was too strong, you can't do anything about it.

Well, guess what, we got hunters now. Every stream, every forum, I keep hearing, fucktards, huntards, go away. Bla bla bla. So, exactly the same as when zoo became popular.

The funny thing is, there are enough decks to counter hunter, so there are two things you can do.

    1) Play Priest, Warrior, Paladin, Druid, Zoolock (wich can all beat hunter)

    2) If you can't beat them, join them. Pissed? Join them.

It's true, Hunters aren't as strong on ladder since the Buzzard/Leeroy nerf. Hunter is pretty stupid, but any deck is capable of beating it. But that feeling you get when you see Undertaker into Leper Gnome Leper Gnome into Leokk as a Miracle Rogue. You feel like you've already lost the game before it even started. And it seems like Hunter always has Undertaker turn 1.

What's great about playing Hunter is its crazy mana efficiency. They always have tempo because they're always able to put down something each turn. If you're playing against them it sucks, because there will be games when you don't have that specific answer every time they put down a threat. Even if you're ahead,  you're always scared you might lose to something as dumb like Double Kill Command.

I am sitting at rank 18 this month.....pre wow preparation, r/l etc in the way. I normally hit around rank 5 and sit there. Now the backgrounds out of the way, i am noticing (EU) this season i am hitting a variety of ranked classes, shamans/warriors/rogues/droods. Maybe i am just lucky but i have not played a single rush deck or deathrattle synergy deck. Could it be that we are worrying over nothing, could it be that people are losing interest in these decks because (and i know) they are no fun to play....i used to run a rush hunter and i became bored. Now im playing a ramp druid and its a lot more fun! When the expansion drops it will all change again

"I am sitting at rank 18 this month"

I believe most people at this rank are playing their own decks, or don't have all the cards. So, I would say, there should be some variety where you're at. I'm sitting at Rank 3, and yesterday I faced Hunter into Hunter into Hunter into Warrior into Hunter. I think I played for about 3ish hours and ran into a Shaman once. Once. The ladder is so congested with Hunters that the only decks you see on it is a) Hunter b) Warrior c) Priest. Sometimes you see a couple of Rogues, and a zoo every once in a while. I've been playing this game for 4 months, and I don't think there has ever been a time where Hunter hasn't reigned on ladder.

The ladder is full of hunters and zoo. Some days, I go into ladder looking to have some fun, and come out super salty after facing Hunter into Hunter into Hunter. It doesn't even matter if I won all those games, I am still insanely salty. I just want to play some ResidentSleeper games, because those are my favorite games.

What I do in these situations is I go to my friends list, rant about it. Then whoever I'm talking to, we both agree how we hate the meta, one of us says "it's all zoo zoo huntard zoo," then the other will say "Wanna play a few friendlies?," we queue up. Then I blow off some steam with my fun control decks like Handlock, Paladin, and Druid (You can't play control Paladin or Druid on ladder because the meta is way to fast). Then one of us says, "I wanna try out my new [insert class] deck." We test it out, we talk about cards, we switch out the cards, and then one of us says "Okay, I'm going to try and test this out on ladder" And the cycle continues.

We have a couple of deck archetypes.

Control, Aggro, and Combo as you said, but we also have Mid-range, Tempo, and Ramp decks.

posted a message on How did you find Hearthstone?

I'm just curious how everyone got into Hearthstone. Did a friend get you into the game? Did you watch a lot of streams? I know a lot of people found it because they've played Blizzard games in the past, and a lot of people started in beta.

Me? I am a big Phillip DeFranco fan (YouTuber), and I was watching one of his daily vlogs. There was one vlog where he was teaching his newborn baby how to play a game. That game happened to be Hearthstone. And that is the story of how I found Hearthstone.

    So what's your story?
