There are certainly a lot of complaints about the new Rumble Run! I, for one, think it’s pretty dang fun, but there are definitely some super-frustrating (read: impossible) matchups. But the big question here would have to be: why take a step “backward” like this?
One answer could be that Blizzard is losing their mojo, but I don’t think that’s the case. I think the real answer lies in how much content is thrown here into a relatively quick “one and done” game mode. People have been asking forever if we could do some form of dungeon run or monster hunt competitively, and I think that’s what they’ve built!
Exhibit A: All 9 classes are represented
Exhibit B: There are three shrine choices per class, giving variety even to mirror matchups.
Exhibit C: You are essentially facing (right now) computer-controlled opponents that have built their decks in a very similar manner to you (only without as much randomness, and with differing health totals).
I think that this is intended to be a new limited format where you can compete against others in much the same way you compete against the computer, and I’m betting that quests and rewards will follow once they turn this on.

No, the last opponents have superoptimized decks, not built randomly.
True, but that’s just because they want the single-player to be a challenge. All you do is remove that, and you’ve got a decent limited format competitive mode.

the problem of it being really annoying and not fun is in the old dungeon run you at least could choose a calss to start your run but now you just choose between 3 different shrine that will also decide what class you can choose which can be a problem if you want to be better at a certin class and play style you are screwed becuase you will constantly switch classes and srhines its even worse when some shrines are just terrible and will almost always lose you a run .
the worst thing is they removed the things I loved about the older runs like for example secret bosses and secret cards and unique boss encountres also passive abilities are only given once and they are only at the last 2 fights.
Difficult is not necessarily the same thing as challenging. If you get the right cards and draw well in the rumble, it's super easy. If you don't, it's all but impossible. That's not a challenge, it's just randomness. And just because it's free doesn't mean we can't recognize its flaws.

Maybe state your own opinion not as a fact. Only because you see it this way, doesn’t mean it’s right. And if you read my whole comment, you see I recognized a flaw. And recognizing a flaw is different to just spreading hate.
he wasnt offensive at all, and what he said about difficulty is just a simple fact. game design has its basic rules, thats it. you are the only one so far in this topic who talked about spreading hate...
That's also what I was thinking when I played through it. "That would be amazing as a multiplayer mode." Although I hope if that's actually going to happen that there will also be a casual mode since competition always ruins all the fun.
I haven't even bothered with Rumble Run. I beat Dungeon Run with Mage and only did the Witchwood one to clear quests.
I am so glad they gave us packs rather than locking them behind quests as they did in Witchwood. Now I don't feel forced to play content I have zero interest in playing.
My problem is I have 80+ runs on Priest. This is absurd and to continue any further would be the perfect illustration of the definition of insanity. That is what these runs feel like: insanity. You're beating your head against the wall.
You choose your treasure THEN the AI curates a boss for you that just happens to be your hard counter...and you lose one fight, you have to start all over.
For a card-back.
No gold, no packs, no cosmetics - 80+ runs on Priest...if I made it within the first hundred runs, that would be approximately 900-1000 attempts altogether.
For a card-back.
I'd rather put in that kind of work toward my daily gold cap.

I changed the thread title since it looks like some people misinterpreted what the thread was about.
