How is Odd Rogue and Rogue in general faring in current meta? I easily reached rank 4 last season with Odd Rogue but this season seems like the climb is much harder now. I went from rank 7 to rank 9 today, is it bad plays/luck or is Odd Rogue trash in the meta now? Additionally, which Rogue decks are faring a bit better this time around?
Still seems like a strong deck in my opinion. What have to been losing too?
Well, pretty much everything. Plenty of Druids, Warlocks, Mages and Spell/Secret Hunters. It's strange, seems like things haven't changed but in a way, have over night.
Is arguably the best aggro deck, I say arguably cause there is Zoolock as well, but the meta rn seems pretty hostile to aggro if you ask me... The best overall deck is maly druid (Is the most solid and all around one for sure) so people are playing a lot of the stuff that preys it like Odd warrior and slow warlocks, also other forms of druid like Togg and tokens, and all druids just destroy you with plague so odd rogue is still good but the pocket meta you might be finding could be terrible for it and here's why.
The meta is shifting to control decks from what I'm experiencing. Odd Rogue is a very strong deck. It's just getting countered by control decks that have the anti-aggro tools to deal with it.
I'm honestly at a loss as well as to what to use to rank up with. That's RPS meta for you.

Yeah that makes sense. I mainly just want to get to rank 5 but I had some bad match ups today and I'm hovering around rank 9. I think it's healthy for the meta to have a few aggro decks that are viable. I hope the meta doesn't shift to super control and combo, but we'll see. I will continue to play odd rogue and see how it fares. Unfortunately it's the only archetype that seems relatively competitive for Rogue right now otherwise I would try another Rogue deck.

Yeah same here. My pocket meta has been druid, warlock, mage and warrior pretty much most of the day today. It's a shame since I got to rank 4 last season and wasn't expecting the meta to shift too terribly. We'll have to see how the meta continues to evolve.
It's still good, just that because SO many people played it, people learned how to play versus it. It's not quite as smooth sailing as before, but you can still faceroll fairly consistently.
It's a polarized deck. Decks that heal/armor well and can keep the board clean slaughter it. So it's really a matter of whether the meta will switch to such decks. Ranked has a bad habit of NOT doing this. I've seen metas where aggro couldn't even break into Tier 1 at all since every top deck tore into it, yet Ranked continued to play decks that played right into its hands keeping it a popular deck in non-tournaments.
So yeah, keep a watch of your matchups to make sure you're not facing too many bad matchups . So long as that doesn't happen, then you'll be fine to just keep practicing and getting good at the deck (the deck fails you fast if you run it mindlessly. You don't have to rope every turn pondering your moves, but you DO have to actually play it well for maximum impact).

Hi my dood.
Is the meta mainly control past rank 10?
