Because i am close to legend right now, playing ranked is pretty exhausting and kinda lacks fun.
So, if i want to have some fun, i go into casual mode and play decks like Renounce Warlock.
At the moment, i mostly play Casino Mage, with scroll of wonders and such, every card but Jaina and some draw is random :)
And i really wonder about the Hearthstone community here, at least 70% of players i face just carry on with their gameplan and try to beat me as fast as possible.
And i'm not talking about the dudes who just grind their games with aggro decks. Quest Druids filling the board with humungous minions, Kingsbane Rogues going face with their weapons, etc.
Are you guys not curious what happens next? I mean, you play a functioning deck and it's basically impossible for you to lose. There's no way you don't realize i am playing a rng fiesta here, not after Mad Bombers blast my own face, Madder Bombers do it some more, Spiteful Summoner into Shifting Scroll and things like that.
Why don't you just sit back, control the game and enjoy the rng fireworks? Set me to low hp, make sure you win in the end and laugh at the weird stuff thats going on ?
I sure do that when completing quests in casual mode...
If your goal is to win with your deck, just go into ranked mode, right?
For most people, winning is fun. I hate tier 1 decks in casual as much as anyone, but like with quest druid you can't fault them for wanting to pull off their win condition since you will almost never get to do it in ranked because it's not a very viable deck. RNG is fun and all but I prefer to be the one playing it, not sitting back watching my opponent do it.
A question.. how often were you winning in Casual beforehand?
Remember that casual has an MMR system not unlike Rank's star system. That is, the better you do the stronger your opponent. This also means that doing well means you will be facing opponents who are more serious about the game.
I'm suspecting that a lot of hte folks here who have bad casual experiences (the "everyone is trying so hard with tier 1 decks!" business) has been winning games in that mode before. As such the game is already pegging them as someone who is highly competitive and needs similarly competitive opponents. This will especially happen if you were playing high tier decks seriously in the past but can also happen if you were playing bad decks but were doing a good job with them.
This WILL happen if you've been avoiding casual because 'you keep losing'. If the only thing you do in casual is win you'll skyrocket right into the hyper competitive zone. Losses, and lots of them, are what keep you facing the more casual crowd. Winning more than losing pushes you up against harder opponents, winning and losing the same rate keeps you at the same 'level' and losing a lot drops you down.
If this is all true then it might mean you need to be losing more of your matches. I can imagine that playing normally but always conceding when you're are about to win would do it.

That right there. I don't want to see my opponent doing wacky stuff. If I want to try out a wacky deck for fun sure. But otherwise I just want to finish the quest and move back into ranked.
Add me my dude, I made a thread just like this a week ago. I will play Yoog casino with you all freaking day man, I'm tired of all these sweaty 13 year-olds too. When Hearthstone has a separation of fun and competition, it's a great game, but as of now, that aeparation only comes between your friends list and everyone else you play on the game. I fear 'Casual' will never be actually casual, so at least we can have private games to ourselves.
I actually remember one time when I played Yogg-Saron, Hope's End just to stay alive. He actually killed himself in first three (maybe four) spells. My opponent had obvious lethal on the board, but still summoned his own RNGesus. That was really awesome, even tho I lost.

Actually quest druid is very good right now. I play it on ladder for wins.

Worth a try if others haven't already tried it.
One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
